  • HTTPS connection systematically disconnected every 2 minutes via VPN in Windows 8

    * Original title: VPN via https issues - win 8

My wife works from home to connect to a vpn over an https connection and then connect to another piece of software based on the web through an https connection.

It worked well until Christmas 2013 when she bought a new laptop with windows 8, upgrading to a connection high speed fiber (with the same Internet service provider) and had a new router.

Since then it can connect to the vpn but once connected to everything that she's trying to connect an https connection systematically disconnected every 2 minutes.

The vpn is connected, and also other programs outside the vpn as Skype and lync stay connected.

His employer has built a new version of the web-based software as there was a problem with this and windows 8, but this has not solved the problem although it resolved all the problems of connection to his colleagues.

Currently, she is able to connect via a desktop remotely to his employer (instead of the vpn) and then connect to the additional software via https.

2 weeks ago she took his laptop in a House of colleagues and connected no problems whatsoever and maintained the connection.

She informed her employer of which, after 3 months of development new software and maintenance to a remote office installation just for her, said now it must be a problem with the Internet service provider.

PSI (EE) performed many tests and say there is no problem with the line and or they block certain ports etc.

Today, she attempted to connect using a laptop with windows 7 (according to her an old) and had no problem that seems to rule out a problem of ISP or router problems.

There seems to be a problem with windows 8 (regardless of Web browser - the same problem is present with ie, chrome or firefox), but only among us — even if I want to confirm that in trying a few more locations with different providers of Internet services, and that even in a different place)

Anyway, after all this language of wood can anyone offer suggestions of what the problem may be or any what more ways to collect the information required to provide a solution.

    Thank you

  • My computer 'mysteriously' randomly stalls every few minutes

It is a fact. There are some 'ghosts' that nobody seems to know how to fight in Windows. Engineer, in 40 years, and as such, I've seen a few. My computer 'mysteriously' stops randomly every few minutes. Meters show the RAM and CPU have more than enough resources, when the stalls occur. Temperature OK. Does anyone how "ghostbust" (in practice, directly to the solution, no speculation, please) my computer? Thank you, Julian, julianort, gmail.

    [Original title: stall]

You can open Event Viewer and review the events and see if there is no event suspicious or something related to this issue. When this happens open Task Manager and into resources. You can also look in the resource monitor and see what is happening in your system.

  • Direct print from laptop computer connection

I have a laptop HP with windows 7 32 bit and the designjet 650 c B model with an installed direct jet card, so I a usb converter cable network I want to print from a usb port or from the port of network cable. I just want to know what is called the port that I use? Help, please!

You have a wireless router?  I have a Designjet 650 c connected to my router with a LAN cable, can I access the 650 c of my HP laptop wireless via the router.

If you follow this path, you will get an IP address for the Designjet 650 c by selecting Prev in the menu until you get to the entrance, the top menu can go down three times for installing I/O, entry, entry (modular), entrance (network Cfg = >), down Yes, Prev, Prev, Prev, entrance, entry, down arrow twice for utilities Entry, arrow down twice for Config plot, Enter.

That you select the jetdirect card like I/O device, get an IP address from the router and then print a configuration page that displays the IP address to halfway to the bottom of the page.

On laptop computer click Start, devices and printers, do a right-click on the Designjet 650 c, printer, port properties, add a Port, Port TCP/IP Standard, new Port, following, then enter the IP config page printed.  For me, it comes to 192.168.1.13.  Enter the appropriate value, Next, Finish.

If you do not have a router then consider making an inexpensive wireless router that could be wired to the Designjet and wireless for the laptop.  It would probably be a much better solution than to try to make a converter USB - lan.

  • XP SP3 laptop computer connects to various WiFi hotspots but not to an individual.

Just upgraded to Verizon MiFi 2200 MiFi 4620 the personal hotspot.  Our other Office XP SP3 computer, a Windows 7 laptop and Tablet Android ASUS everything automatically detected and entering the network key/password, all connected to the hotspot and the WWW.

Fortunately, the XP SP3 laptop connects to other WiFi hotspots and will always connect to the MiFi 2200 old if it is powered even if, of course, he cannot access the WWW, because Verizon's network no longer recognizes the 2200 due service is transferred to the new 4620 MiFi.

The XP SP3 laptop detects the new hotspot very well.  The command 'View available wireless networks' shows the new hotspot, but when 'Connect' is attempted he goes just in the cycle to appear in the connection, but returned eventually to view available wireless networks.  The 'Connect' button is available, implying that it would connect so click on new.

Use the same settings (SSID, password, encryption, etc) for the device problem than others who work as they should.  It seems to be an incorrect setting or adjustment in the laptop but I can not understand that one.  I compared the services running on two XP machines and have found no obvious inadequacy.

    Advice?

    Thank you!

When you say that the new device has the same encryption, do you mean that you know that both old and new devices use the same type of encryption (for example, WPA2, WPA, WPA-TKIP, etc.)?

I noticed the following two statements in the Guide of the user for the MiFi 4620 L (page 30)

    • WPA/WPA2 Personal joint (safer, less compatible with older devices)
    • IMPORTANT you must use the profile secured with WPA/WPA2 Personal Mode security settings mixed when possible.

Suggesting that the MiFi 4620 can by default that set... and that the hardware in your computer laptop problem is one of the 'old' devices that is not compatible with this setting.

Just as an experiment, temporarily configure the MiFi to 'Open' (see pages 30 et seq.) and see if your laptop can connect.

  • laptop computer connection tv s-video / rca cable

I want to connect my laptop to my tv so I can watch movies from my laptop on my tv.

I have an Inspiron 700 m mobile and a symphonic TV.  The TV does not have a s video port, just the rca (red, white, and yellow) port.  My laptop has s video port.  So I purchased a s-video / rca cable to connect the two, but it didn't work.  I don't think the laoptop reconizes the tv.  Every time I did something on the laptop, the TV would flicker a few times. Can someone give me instructions step by step on how to connect the two.  I'm kind of a computer dummy so I don't know much; If detailed step by step direstions would be great.  Thank you!

    Hello

I just installed Windows 7 and am trying to connect my laptop to my TV. However, when I go to control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Connect to an external monitor, I don't see the second monitor. (Have used an HDMI cable to connect to the TV).

    p / n: KB341EA #B1A

    Can you provide any help?

    Thank you

    Ioannis

Here's what I suggest you do.

Go to the Device Manager, expand the category graphics cards.  Right-click on the graphics card from nvidia and select uninstall and check the box uninstall driver.

Restart and use the Vista of making driver in charge of your laptop and driver as follows page...

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-59557-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=2100&product=3642170&sw_lang=

Download and run the above driver.  You can get an error not supported operating system.

    Conclusion of any windows error.

Go to Device Manager, click to expand the category graphics cards, click on the VGA Standard card.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp38834.

Make sure that the include sub and the driver should install.

Restart, and I hope that you will now be able to connect to your TV.

If this isn't the case, then it will not happen.

  • Laptop computer connection TV via HDMI cable... no image. ?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ashley... B,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

Which version of Windows Vista is installed on your computer?

    1. first you need a video cable to make the physical connection. For a better image quality, you must connect to the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
    2. open the "display settings" in your Vista computer and activate the output to the TV screen. You can reflect the content of your computer on the TV or extend the display as a double screen control.
    3. pick up your TV remote and switch to "External inputs" in the menu. You need to change the value by default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "video 2" depending on how you made the connection. "
Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer, because sometimes it may not recognize the external display.
You may also change the resolution of your TV screen using the display settings in your panel of control remains the image may appear distorted.

  • WRT320N laptop computer connection issues

    Hi all

I decided to upgrade my router today to WRT320N. I connect 2 computers wired, wireless 3 computers and a printer of HP Network on a home network. I was able to get the wired machines and the printer goes very well with Windows Vista and the Linksys software. I could not connect wireless laptops. I used the Network Magic program, the Vista network program and the HP Wireless asst without success. I tried using auto detect it on the router, to connect directly from the computer to a wireless network and using the magic network programs, including manual connect and the parameters on a loading USB device and try this on the computer to connect. I'm at my wit's end! Ideas by steps out there on what to do? I rebooted the router and Comcast cable modem x 2 x 4 and all computers at least once. Thank you.

    Hello

    Try this process.

    WinSock and TCP/IP

When parasites get installed on your computer, they might create hooks in the system computer activities related to the program "Junk" files  When you get rid of the 'Junk' hooks could remain in the system, in the absence of target files (they cleaned) problems are created in the network and Internet related activities.

If after uninstalling the "Junk", the Internet connection does not work as it should, you will need to restart the operating system parts which get trashed by the process.

    WinSock and TCP/IP update.

Type Cmd in the search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP just replace the command typed with.

    netsh int reset

And the sam to do this.

    ipconfig/flushdns

  • Laptop computer connection directly to a projector and cannot see the screen of my laptop

I'm trying to figure out how to display the screen of my laptop via a projector and also be able to see the screen of my laptop.  When I hit the function key for display on the big screen, my laptop darkens.  I found a post on this forum on the connection of additional views or projector (Set Up Multiple displays). When I go to Mobile PC and display to choose settings listed in the answer (mirrored, extended, etc.) aren't there.  My laptop is running Vista Business Service Pack 2 and two weeks.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello Shawn,

Thanks for posting on the Community Forums of Microsoft Vista.

It should probably be shortened on your laptop keyboard to turn on the visible screen (for example Fn + F5). Try these until you can see the image on the laptop monitor.

Also, follow the steps and try to set the screen parameter as follows:

    (1) right click on the desktop, click Properties, and on the display settings, choose monitor as your main graphics card 1.

    (2) setup that monitor the as a 2nd external display (projector).

    (3) click on apply and Ok.

Restart the computer to see if you are able to see the screen on laptop and projector.

You can also check with the computer manufacturer to check if they have additional parameters to be changed.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Laptop computer connection problems Toshiba for HP Officejet Pro 8610

Hi, I just unpacked my new HP Officejet Pro 8610 and after close to two hours still unable to connect it with my laptop.  I have a Toshiba Satellite S55 A5257 8.1 Windows running.  The printer shows that it is connected to the correct network (with no other network name of the network).  I tried setting up with the normal settings, then with firewall disabled, then with the firewall and antivirus, stop and went through all the suggestions on the software to solve problems of installation failure that has been suggested to install.  Have also tried to turn the router off and on again and also turn off the laptop and turn it on again.  Also the printer is off and turned it back.

I'd be more than happy to try other suggestions that anyone could have.

Update: a little while later, I have at least been able to print using a usb cable, but is not always wireless.

    Hi Jimbo867,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that your HP Officejet pro 8610 does not connect to your Windows 8.1 with a Wi - Fi connection. I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!

    Please see the following guides:

    1. "Can't find the printer" message appears on the computer during a Network Installation.
    2. The printer keeps Wi-Fi connection.

I hope this solves your problem and I thank you for posting!
