my laptop had the error 03F0 twice but it still works after a reboot?

OK, this happened twice and I'm starting to be scared. My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6 equipped from Vista 32 bit about 2 years now. I had my laptop on the way 'sleep' and came back an hour later and it's on. When I opened it the screen was black and it is tellling me he couldn't find the hard drive. I turned it off and let it sit for a few minutes and he turned his back. He came and asked if I wanted to start normally or in safe mode so I chose normal. The computer started normally and I had no problem until today. I left there and came back about 40 minutes later and he said something, of not being able to find a boot file? I forgot to write exactly what he says. When I restarted this time I looked in the error logs and he had both two errors 03F0 dated yesterday when he came up the first time. Until now, today he was works well, but I'm a little worried because I have class work tomorrow and I would of course lose him. I keep my laptop on a cooling pad but it's still hot so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Cyd Pryor,

1. you remember to make changes to the computer, after which the issue started?

I suggest you to make sure that all device drivers are updated:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

Also, take a look at the following reference article link:

How to fix error BlueScreen (STOP) that cause Windows Vista to shut down or restart unexpectedly (Title of ignore it)

I hope this helps.
