My laptop has no sound? one day he turned suddenly silent and I can't find a problem with the drivers to fix
No sound
Hello Mohamed Ali,
1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?
You can try the methods below to resolve this issue.
Method 1:
I suggest that you run the Audio troubleshooter on your Windows 7 computer, it looks for common problems with your volume settings, your sound card driver and your speakers or headset:
Check out this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Playing-Audio-troubleshooter
Method 2:
Configure the playback devices from the default on your computer.
a. Click Start, type Sound in the box to start the search.
b. click sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.
c. click the Read tab.
d. on the tab 'Read' it has listed the sound options at your disposal.
e. Select the default playback device (the playback device will be the audio adapter on your computer)
Thank you

I work on a laptop running XP and I can't find how to adjust the brightness of the screen
original title: screen brightnessI work on a laptop running XP and I can't find how to adjust the brightness of the screen. He is not bright enough for the environment, in that I am currently working.Any help?Look in the BIOS (nothing to do with the operating system) and change first there - so it's also brilliant to (on battery vs. connected to power - these settings, you determine thus.)
In Windows - you should be able to control the brightness * if * you have everything installed the appropriate drivers for your laptop * and * they chose to give you these controls (the true drivers/software from the video card manufacturer is usually done).
Also - if the brightness is not sufficient because of the light of the Sun - then by adjusting it can't helped. Not many mobile consumers have a screen that can be read in the light of the Sun. There are laptops with special screens for this type of environment. Crank your brightness might help - but if you do not have an anti-glare screen, etc...

Satellite C660D - a problem with the cooling system has been detected
My laptop is a * Toshiba Satellite C660D-11th * and I have a message that keeps coming up every once in a while 'alert system' head and reads as follows: "WARNING: a problem with the cooling system has been detected." (Next line) Please, turn off computer immediately and return it for service. »
I had this warning for the coming weeks and it tolerated, but it worsened and annoyed me for the last time. I can hear the fan and the computer is not over heating (the CPUCool freeware tool detects a 51º CPU temprature C). No further questions arise as the computer slows down, it is right in the path of what I do, like typing right now.
I tried to solve the problem by changing the "Power Options" in the control panel of Windows 7 'High Performance', and then selected under the 'battery' both 'Sector' columns, 'Never' for the parameter "put the computer to sleep. It seems to work, and no error message has occurred since then. However, this is not a solution...
Please help quickly, this prevents me from working and even other things now.
Thank you
Hello
Usually, this message would appear if something is not wrong with the cooling system. But I read here in the forum that maybe it's a bug of software and after new system recovery this message should no longer appear.
But if you notice some upper temperature or abnormal noises, then I recommend to check this with a service technician

I am facing a problem with the beep.vi. I have a DAQ program, which acquired the signal and compare it to a threshold value. When a signal is out of range, a Visual and sound alarm has occurred. I use the VI beep.vi to generate the sound. Everything works fine except the sound alarm. It gives the table 1 d of type mismatch. I tried to fix this by placing it in a box structure. But it still does not work. If someone could help? Please find attached my VI. Best wishes to all visitors to the Forums of Discussion OR.

Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration
Please can someone help me? I have a laptop U300-13U and that you have installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying 'iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play correctly' which is an understatement - it does not at all!
I uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, but in vain. I have searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but have nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can read CDs with no problems at all. The only suggestion I can get is that there may be a problem with the audio device magnet is not Apple and vice versa.
Does anyone have AN idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play his music!
Thank you so much.
Hello
I don t use iTunes so I m not an expert player but first of all, you must give us some important information:
-What operating system do you use?
-Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba Recovery disk) or your own version of Windows
-Do you have the yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?OK, iTunes says that there is an audio configuration problem so do you trying to update the audio driver? If this isn't the case, you should try it.
See the Web from Toshiba site for an update and see what happens. Then validate your result:

I have problems with the sound on my PC (i.e., no noise at all). He told me that the Sndvol32.exe file is missing. I went through the 'fix - it' and the solution is to extract the file from the Windows XP CD. My PC did not come with it - otherwise, how can I get this file? Thanks in advance!
Most of the people do not have a genuine XP bootable CD. This is good advice if you have a true bootbale CD, but given that the majority of people have never seen one in their life, why start there? That's why this kind of troubleshooting tips kill me...
The fix it will not help you.
This will help you:
I downloaded a copy of the file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).
You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):
c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files). Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:
http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311
When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.
You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.
That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.
Of course the file must never be missing, so something has badly haywire.
If the system is working properly, what do you think has happened since the last time, that he did not work properly?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
No matter what you use for the antivirus/antimalware protection, I followed with some other respectable malware scanners, and then fix any problems:Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish.Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues. -
HPL2208w of the problems with the new laptop.
Hello
I have a 22-inch HPL2208w monitor, which seems to play on my new laptop Dell upward. The laptop has only a HDMI port, so I connect the monitor's vga cable to the Dell via an adapter.
The display shows for a few minutes and requires only the range (I guess resolution) be changed to 1680 x 1650. For some reason I can't change the setting of the laptop to that. When I do not change the resolution (only if the monitor is unique and not dual output) the warning message remains on the screen and the screen is not at its best (wise clarity).
Series Dell Win 7 64 bit, but the monitor was working on my previous Dell with the same version of Windows (with a VGA connection).
Kind regards
HA9005

I understand that you are having problems with the resolution on the HP L2208w 22 '' monitor and a Dell laptop. Unfortunately, as the monitor don't has no options that you can change in what concerns the resolution (it is passed by the laptop), I suggest that you try the Dell Forums for an answer.
I know maybe it's not the answer you are looking for, but at least you know where to look for the answer now. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
