Hi Ron,
1 Windows operating system you are using?
2. you receive messages or error codes?
You can read the following article and check.
Windows wireless and wired network connection problems
If you use Windows XP, then read the following article:
How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2
This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.
You can try the following steps and check if it helps.
a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.
(b) in Device Manager, expand network adapter.
c. now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.
d. go to the power management tab.
e. ensure that all check boxes are unchecked (check boxallow the computer to turn off this device to save power is off).
f. If you have disabled the boxes, click ok and restart your system. Put the computer in Hibernate mode and check if you still have any questions.

"Can not open AsIO.sys (2)" I get this message when I log in after a reboot. I have search for the file, but can't find it with the research or the command prompt. What do do in this file, and can be created and put into the appropriate folder?
Hi Jack,
This driver belongs to AsIO.sys Asus Probe. Try to uninstall Asus Probe and if you need, install again. If this does not help, uninstall Asus Probe and other tools of control such as Speedfan. Open the registry (regedit.exe) editor and search for AsIO.sys and remove all the entries that you can find.

Windows 7 laptop do not again after hibernation when disconnected
I have a laptop Dell Alienware M11x with Win 7 Premium, Intel U4100 1.3 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM and graphics "Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family" (although I thought it was NVidia).
I have the settings configured so that the cover Hibernate the computer, and when Windows resumes after hibernation, it will work find if the laptop is connected to the power grid, but when running on battery and the recovery of the computer will freezes after showing the "Windows Recovery" just before the GUI is due to appear, but rather only shows a black screen with a blinking cursor in left top.
The only way to solve this is to force a stop and turn the computer back on again - which will later be a screen 'continue with restore CV/remove... data. ». If I plug the computer and choose to continue to use it, it works perfectly, but if running on battery the only way to continue is to delete the data and start again.
I had a glance online at other similar problems, but so far none has sorted mine.
Thanks in advance,
TomYou might want to consider this repost in a Windows 7 forum, this forum supports Windows Vista and there may be significant differences in this area between the two operating systems.

Hello
I bought an external monitor/keyboard/mouse for my laptop XPS M1330 (connection of the monitor via a HDMI to DVI cable). However as soon as the lid is closed the wireless network stops working - opening the lid immediately launches the application again. A network through a physical cable connection works with the closing of the cover. Note, the network remains connected (or at least is always intended to be connected) it has not sent or received no information, while the lid is closed.
XPS M1330 laptop under Vista Home Premium SP1 - Wireless card is Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG running the latest drivers 11.5.0.32.
Power options are obviously set to shut down the computer laptop shut down, goes to stand by, or go into hybernation when the lid is closed... it is set to 'status quo '. The properties of the wireless card has the "Ad hoc power management" disabled and the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" unchecked.
When the cover is opened, the monitor takes the maximum size of the screen of the laptop, which goes against the objective set for the monitor in the first place.
(As a side note, the laptop also refused to work with a wired via a network connection "homeplug" - even if a hub is placed between the laptop and the homeplug - and I refuse to run a cable between the router as the laptop will be used in another room of the router).
Is there a solution to this, or is this a problem with Vista? (Because if this is the case, it is yet another nail in the coffin - and it becomes difficult to find any more room for nails more! Windows 7 is fast approaching!)
See you soon,.
TomHi tom101449,
· The WiFi was working fine earlier?
· You did it all change hardware or software on your computer before this problem?
Method 1
If the problem occurs after you install the latest drivers Intel PRO / Wireless, you can restore the drivers for the card wireless to the previous version. For more information, see this link.
Restore a driver with its previous version
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/restore-a-driver-to-its-previous-version
Method 2
When you connect to your wireless network, make sure that the option 'Save this network' is checked.
In addition, right-click on the network > properties, then on the connection tab, check the box that says "connect automatically when this network is in range.

When I did a WiFi from my laptop to my Deskjet 3830, I does not specify the need for a password, but then when I came back the next day he asked my password (and refused to accept my normal netwrk password).

I constantly have to "reset the wireless network adapter.
Installation program:
Ethernet to the modem router then:
Ethernet to the router to the desktop
Ethernet router to Ooma (phone)
Ethernet router to Sonos Controller
About 1/2 a year ago, I would generally lose my internet connection Wireless one or twice all the hours that I was using my laptop. I kept having to "Reset Wireless Adapter. A roommate using a different Dell laptop (not sure what model) had no problems with dropouts. I lived with the problem b/c I mainly use my office. Now, my office is having the same problem.
How can I solve this "problem"? I work from home and I can't have my connection drop-outs all the time.
TIA!

Two things that helped the wifi dropouts (win 10):
1. go to the adapter in the Device Manager wireless and defeat the "n" mode in advanced settings.
2. change the address of the automatic DNS server as an open server. Open usual address is: primary 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 secondary.

I have to reset the charge cycle counter after replacing the battery?
I had a defective power adapter, running on the number of cycles of load on my battery. Thus, it no longer accepts a charge. I have been running only on AC for over a year now, but finally decided to replace the battery. What are the steps to reset the counter after replacing the battery?
Replce just the battery, the battery will communicate the number of cycles to the computer. No adjustment is necessary.

HP625 - laptop lost wireless adapter after the reconstruction of Windows 7 Home Premium
My step daughter has asked me to try to fix his laptop HP625 that it had completely stopped working.
I was able to reinstall Windows 7 Home Edition.
I was able to start my CD and install Windows 7 but can't connect to the wireless network.
Router is as well as all other smart devices use. But the key wireless remains resolutely Amber. I took a look inside the laptop and the wireless adapter is a Broadcom BCM94313HMGB, but I do not see it in the Device Manager.
Hi, Laurie:
Here is the link to the wireless card driver you need.
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-107849-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en
If your laptop also comes with bluetooth, you need this driver too.

Laptop does not return after hibernation or standby
original title: cell phone crashesWhen mobile switch off switch on if necessary takes a few attempts before it lights up as if it blocks wile its judgment
After that you have managed to turn it back on, do the following:
1. make sure that the computer is virus-free
Use Malwarebytes:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ ... pickthe free version.2 run a file system check to ensure that none of the corrupted files.
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-SFC-command.html3. run a disk check for corruption and possibly repair errors and bad sectors on the hard disk.
Start button > Search box, type cmd > look up, right-click on cmd.exe > Run As Administrator > in the black and white window, at the command prompt flashes, type chkdsk/f/r > press the Enter key.
Note: there is a
space between 'chkdsk' and ' / '.
The screen will say something like cannot do it now, but you want to run it on reboot. Click on 'y' as in Yes > press > window cmd of output.
Restart your computer. It will take a while. DO NOT stop the machine. Just wait.4. optimize performance
