My laptop screen has turned, everything is now on the side...

I turned the laptop off last night and it suddenly changed to this, and it's always like it this morning.

What should I do?

Hello

Right-click on an empty area of the desktop - graphics Options - Rotation

CTRL + ALT + arrow key it also runs.

CTRL + Alt + (up arrow), Ctrl + Alt + arrow (pointing down), Ctrl + Alt + arrow (left) and also Ctrl + Alt + arrow (right)

I hope this helps.

  • Notebook15-r110na Energy Saver: my laptop screen has suddenly started to go black when I need to plug the power adapter

Maybe the powerplan battery is changed or not properly configured. You can see the current powerplan thanks the battery status bar icon.
Please check if the powerplan options are correct.

Brightness updates when it is plugged into the charger OK?

Also: If the screen goes black, can still use you the shortcut keyboard keys to adjust the brightness?

  • My dispay screen has turned sideways?

I must have leaned on my keyboard accidentally and my screen has turned sideways.  How to put back the right way?  Any help appreciated.

    Hello Wendyarnold,

You can try pressing Ctrl + Alt + UP ARROW to see if this will change it back (you need to maybe try the down arrow or right/left arrow key if this does not work)

You can also go to the control panel and, depending on your card, you should have a video card Control Panel, control panel NVidia or Catalyst Control center. This opens up and seek a marked display section. With ATI, it's under the desktop and poster (click on the arrow to the right of the display and select the rotate option.) Keep turning until you get the right orientation)

NVidia should also have a similar option that allows the roate screen 90 or 180 degrees. However, as you think that you have to rotate the screen by accidentally leaning on the keyboard, the Ctrl + Alt + UP (or down) arrow should fix things.

  • the lower part of the screen has a gray as Monica covering the screen

How can I fix a problem with my laptop screen?

The upper part of the monitor is nomal and works very well. But the lower part of the screen has a gray as Monica covering the screen. The two sections are divided by a straight line. The laptop in this condition it is difficult to do, because the bottom of the screen is so hard to see. Any help with this condition would be appreciated. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5868, I can't afford to buy another laptop. Please someone help!

    Hi CliffordKillen,

What version of Windows have installed you on the laptop?

When did you notice this problem? If this is a recent problem, follow the steps in this document to restore your computer to an earlier point.

Follow these steps in this document to start your computer in Mode safe. Safe mode that will start the Basic programs and drivers required to start Windows. If the screen is back to normal in safe mode, it lets us know that the issue is not the base drivers. We can then pass from the computer in a clean boot State. This will let us know if a software conflict is causing the problem.

If none of these measures, you can contact Toshiba.

    Hello

    ·         What is the operating system that you are working?

    ·         The computer is a desktop or laptop computer?

Insufficient information provided by you, please answer the questions above.

It seems that the screen resolution is incorrect. Try changing the screen resolution to fit the screen. The link below will guide you on how to change the screen resolution.

    For Windows Vista and 7:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-your-screen-resolution

    For Windows XP:

    ·         Click Start, click Control Panel, click appearance and themes, and then click on view

    ·         On the tab settings in the screen resolution, drag the slider, and then click apply.

    ·         When you are prompted to apply the settings, click OK. Your screen becomes black for a moment.

    ·         Once your screen resolution changes, you have 15 seconds to confirm the change. Click Yes to confirm the change. Click No or do nothing to return to your previous configuration.

    I hope this helps you.

    Hi tao41,

The option "lock the taskbar" has been disabled. Right-click on a vacant space in the taskbar, the start clcok, button and check to see if there is a check mark next to ' lock the taskbar '. For the moment, it should not be a tick it. Now, move your mouse over the taskbar, hold down your left mouse button and 'drag' the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. The taskbar should now appear at the bottom of the screen. Once you did a right click on the taskbar again, as before, in a place vacant between the Start button and the clock and, in the drop-down menu, click on the option "lock the taskbar" to place a check mark by his side. The taskbar is now locked and cannot move.
