my laptop should adapter or converter for uk visit

I bought a HP laptop in 2010.  I am visiting the United Kingdom shortly and am wondering if I just need one a normal us-to-uk adapter for recharging, or do I need a converter.   Can someone help me with this please?  I'll be very grateful!  Thank you.
