My laptop starts to turn himself :(

Hello

I have a HP Pavillion g series (Pavillion g6) computer running windows 7.

Recently, my laptop started to turn off when it is not plugged in. The battery is still generally about 30-40% (or if the battery icon says) when it shuts down completely.  It shuts down completely and when I try to restart it it starts black screen with "start in safe mode" or "start windows normally" etc. of the options.

It's really starting to frustrate me, and I've poured through from google and these forums to see if I can find something that could help but so far nothing.

Any help gratefully received.

Hello

Please, use the following instructions to check the battery:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00821536

You may need to replace the battery.

Kind regards.

Sorry for the late reply... but he tool some time to analyze all the stuff... now that I have gone through the report and read on the support sites... you Webcam is not officially windows vista supported and your drivers are in compatibility mode... That's why your drivers are giving a conflict to the USB system and the power is cut through again... the only way to stop this by changing the webcam...

but you can try to do one thing... Please go to Device Manager (-> right click computer-> properties-> Device Manager-> continue-> universal serial bus-> check each displayed items properties to check which port it shows your installed webcam and deselect the option to turn off the device to save energy...)

First test the hard disk for physical errors. Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr. or use SeaTools for BACK of Seagate. You create a bootable CD with the files you download. You will need a third party burning software to do as the free ImgBurn, Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data.

Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. The physical tests fail, replace it. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need the help of a
real computer store (not of leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other department stores) or the system
    Support from the manufacturer.

  • K010 ENVY: my laptop will not turn off

    Hello

When I shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume my laptop, it will die completely.

All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.

And when I try to Hibernate, everything is ok, but I have the same problem.

Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.

After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:

-If hibernation: OS will continue to last situation.

-If start/stop: OS works normally without error or warning.

After sleep, OS works from the beginning. Because the data stored in RAM and will be deleted after power off.

    Hello

    You are welcome

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

I have a message that is displayed on my laptop whenever I turn it on it is C:\Program Files (x 86) Arcadeweb\arcadeweb32.dll the last time I had one of these errors, I did nothing about it and lost my computer.  If you don't want do us to use a registry cleaner then how I get this error fixed? Hello

Registry cleaners and system optimizers who attest her can solve many questions are simply too hype
powder of snake oil. More likely to damage the system to fix anything.

Good luck which is malware then please do a thorough check. Following message will show how to remove as
    a startup message.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

  • Laptop starts up when the lid is opened

I spilled some water on the laptop. I used AC power with no battery attached. When this happens, I quickly pulled the plug. I knew that the warranty does not damage the water so I dissamble each component and put them in dry box for a week. Then I used alcohol to remove all stains left behind.

After I got everything back up, the laptop starts fine when the lid is closed and hooked to an external monitor. Can I use any program withou any problem. But it wouldn't start when the cover is open. It was as if someone was holding down the power button to force the computer to turn off.

My question is, how the laptop detects if the lid is open or closed? It is magnetic, or is it using a switch as a reed switch?

my laptop is HP Pavilion SleekBook 14 14-B031TU with the motherboard: DA0U33MB6D0-698523-001.

Most newer laptops have a sensor (switch) magnetic in the cover of the screen bezel or the touchpad.

You can test that by sliding a small magnet around the telescope cover touchpad area and/or.

I think there BIOS problem or a power problem. I know it's hard to help me with this, but hope someone know approximate reason and do me a favor to give a hint.

Not exactly. The video chip is on what is called ball grid array. As the chip is overheating and cools down, the connections to the motherboard (i.e. Bay) become brittle and break off, so that there is no full contact with the circuit of the motherboard. It can be "reorganized" so that it becomes liquid and all connection again by applying heat evenly. The trick is to do it at the right temperature and to monitor the process. It can be done by the motherboard in the oven just cooking, but it is not reliable. It works best when you have real expensive equipment, but which does not improve with real expensive equipment?

  • Laptop won't turn on after the new battery.

A few days ago, when I got home, I found that my VAIO VPCF1290x of 3 years was dead. The battery indicator has been telling me to get a new battery, but I thought it would be enough for now.

Problem: Laptop wouldn't turn on after pressing the power button.

    (1) with the adapter and the battery still in my laptop, by pressing the power button does not turn on my laptop. However when I press the power button, green light battery (the button itself) indicator on for about a second, then dimmed quickly.

    (2) after reading some forums, I decided to fill my laptop into the battery button for a good 30 seconds trying to turn slot WITH the adapter. It turned on my laptop, but it took a good 2-3 seconds for the laptop to make all sounds as if it was about to start.

I have since then bought a new battery and a reason that my laptop lights at all. When I connected my new battery to condition it green button energy came on again for about one second then disappeared.

I don't know what's the matter with my computer and would like to help. I KNOW that I should probably get repaired but would like an idea as to why my laptop behaves like a *.

    EDIT *.

To give more information, when I have the OLD battery placed in the computer of the battery indicator is a constant flashing orange.

With the NEW battery sony return the same thing occurs when the battery light constantly blinks orange.
