My laptop with Vista OS professional started to freeze while I have seen working on e-mail in Outlook

The frequesncy of the problem is increasing. My lap top freezes while I work on the emails I have Outlook. At first, I thought that I had to open several applications, but after looking carefully what I do when frost occurs, blocking is somehow associated with outlook. I use a laptop in a docking station with two monitors very one connected with the dockiing station, the other with a switch that I never have problems with the monitors, so I don't think that has anything to do with the problem even if it's the equipment 'extra' oly I put up with the laptop.

The only way I can cancel the gel is to turn off the laptop and it reboot. This is starting to happen to often turn the laptop off with on a clean shutdown.

Are there others who have similar problems with the operating system Vista Business and Outlook?

    Hello

Please tell us the brand and model of this computer. Also, you happen to still have discs Windows Vista of origin that goes with it?

Looks like we'll have to try to recover directly from the CD so if you don't have it, I would like to talk with the manufacturer of the computer for another copy

  • Laptop with Vista does not start

For the last 24 hours since I restarted my HP laptop, the screen showed "configuration updates, step 1 of 3, 0% complete, don't turn off your computer."

Unfortunately, I have tried everything that I could find, including microsoft research, restorations of x 4 systems, etc, etc, etc.
I think the problem started when I turned off the computer for an update - it may have ruined the kernel or the registry. I have rebuilt the system with a restore function and everything seems to work well. no more problems with hibernate sleep etc.

  • I have a HP laptop with vista that no longer starts.

    Hi Shannon6836,

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before the question?

    3. are you able to boot in safe mode?

See the methods mentioned below and check if that helps.

    Method 1:

Start your computer in safe mode

If you are able to start in safe mode, follow the steps mentioned below to complete the restore of the system:

Note: System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos. You can only restore files that you have deleted if you have made backups of these files.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to disconnect all devices external one except keyboard and mouse and try to start your computer and check if it helps.

    Method 3:

I also suggest you perform a startup repair and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow the steps below:

    a. Please insert the Windows Vista DVD and restart the computer.

    b. when we are invited to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.
    c. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    d. click repair your computer.
    e. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    f. in the System Recovery Options menu, click on the Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

If the Startup Repair tool is an option of recovering preinstalled on your computer:
    a. remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer.

    Restart the computer

    b. do one of the following:
    i. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

II. If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.
III. in the display Advanced Startup Options , use the arrow keys to select repair your computerand press ENTER. (If repair your computer is not listed as an option, then your computer does not include startup as a preinstalled recovery option repair).
IV. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
    v. Select a username and enter the password, and then click OK.
VI. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem and, if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

  • I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium installed. My plan is to install Win 7 and then move on to Win 10.

Original title: Vista to Win 7 to win 10

I have a laptop with Vista Home Premium installed.  My plan is to install Win 7 and then move on to Win 10.  I have a new full version of Windows 7 Pro SP1 with an activation key.  I have experience update to Win 10 of Win 7, but worry about the installation of Win 7 over Vista.  I guess I have to do a clean install.  There is no problem to meet the minimum requirements of 10.  Can someone give me some advice on the start-up of the conversion of Win 7?  Just insert the disk?  Everything has been backed up and it's ready to go!  Thank you.

Since the family migration to Windows Vista Premium to Windows 7 Professional it will install a clean place, why not simply use your Windows 7 Professional product key to perform a custom Windows 10 Pro install from the go?

I don't see the need to bother installing Windows 7 Professional.

  • My games suddenly stopped working on my laptop with vista SP 2 after a single pass?

Ideas: I use a Gateway laptop with vista Home premium sp 2, AMD turion x 2 dual core x 64 bit, fitted an ATI HD 3200 graphics card. (The card is built-in.) He is more than capable of handling the Dead Space, Bioshock, big chase and combat arms and run each of them perfectly at maximum quality, except for dead space, which had to be alleviated a little to improve the speed and responsiveness.

    • Programs: Borderlands, Dead Space, Bioshock, Grand Chase, Combat arms.
    • No error message. Games freeze just to the preloader or splash screen. The processes are still ongoing, but there is no game window or the game got stuck on splash screen. (I have to 'end of process' to stop smoking completely.)
    • Recent changes made to your computer: just closed, each of these games after their execution 1 time, and they would not work again. Problem occurred after a standard, so that could have linked somehow.
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem: compatibility, analysis antivirus, cleaning Mode, running in as long as administrator, disabling firewall, protection against viruses, disabling the registry Disabling UAC, each administrator, update drivers for graphics card, system update, reinstall everything THAT I can think of who could fix this problem.
    • NOTE: I ran these games on another computer and they work fine. A solution to this issue has completely escaped me.

Have you tried to reinstall or update your directX? or your visual c ++ Redistributable files? Sometimes, if this stuff is corrupted (and you won't know until you start a game generally because it stops working) and you need to reinstall such things.

  • I can't install XP multiboot on my current laptop with Vista.

I would install XP multiboot on my current laptop with Vista. I created a new partition in the goal, but my XP CD (old) does not run the installation program. The error message says it's because the operating system is a later version.

How can I solve this problem?

Turn on the laptop. Place the XP disk in the CD/DVD drive. Do a fresh install of XP using the partition that you created.

Now, Vista does not start because its charger has been replaced by the XP loader.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    1. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    2. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.
    3. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.
    4. click on OK.
    5. When you are prompted, click restart.
