my left mouse button does not

HID SJ920MJ03802 REV A2 5 Windows 7 compatible mouse

First of all welcome on the forums of axe!

There are many things wrong with your mouse to the left button does not work. I suggest possibly making sure that there is nothing of clicking (e.g. dirt).

And if you have a guarantee that I would come back, if not buy a replacement.

I don't understand what the problem is. My left mouse button does not work. If I put a little pressure on the Panel located under the button space then the left button of the mouse works.

What should I do? It feels like a hardware problem, since I bought the laptop in November my laptop is still covered by the warranty.

What you can do is to check the touchpad settings and make sure that everything is OK.

  • Left mouse button does not click anything

    Hey everybody,

Firstly thank you for reading my question, anyway I have a problem with my mouse and wireless keyboard which is connected by a USB port. The keyboard works fine and types correctly but there is a problem with the mouse. The left button of the mouse that must click on everything isn't clicking. It installs and pointed out things, but nothing happened by clicking, I could still hear the sound when you click it but nothing happened, he just stayed. I have no idea on what it is, it could be the mouse (right button worked normally well) or I do not know if I pressed buttons, or a combination. I really need help, and I don't want to spoil anything else on my computer. I changed the mouse keys, so now I click on my left instead of right button, what do I do?

  • ProBook 430 G2 - left trackpad button does not respond intermittently

I have a brand new ProBook. G2 430 (SKU # G6W35EA #ABB) with Windows 8.1, completely up to date. I find that every 10-15 minutes, the left button on the trackpad becomes unresponsive. The trackpad still moving the mouse pointer and the right button will continue to operate, but the left button does not react. This takes several minutes, perhaps 3-4. Then the left button it will start again to work as if nothing had happened. Because the button back to work, I suspect it's more likely to be a problem with the driver software or the Windows 8.1.

I have Synaptics TouchPad driver version 18.1.8.1, the current version of the driver.

    I have Windows 8.1 version 6.3.9600.

I have the HP M74 Bios version 1.03 version (07/07/2014)

    Anyone have any ideas?

I have a minor breakthrough! So, until now the best solution that we had found was close the lid and open it upwards and the button would start working again. Not very good when you are in the middle of something.

The new workaround is to do a tap two fingers on the touchpad and that seems to work. I tried now on 3-4 laptops with 100% success!

I don't know if it is a 'feature' that detects the Palm of your hand when you type or something. I have not found anything about this either on the driver (haven't looked very hard tbh).

  • Microsoft Sidewinder X 8 inch top of page mouse button does not work?

I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder X 8 mouse and my upper thumb button will not work. Is it a hardware problem or a software problem? I have reinstalled the software.

    Hi Crimson7789,

    1. this happens when you try it on any game in particular?

This seems to be a hardware problem. You can see the following link for the hardware support:

  • "the scroll of the mouse button does not work.

I'm sorry. I don't know what to tell you more. I'm out of ideas.

This is a pretty old post so I don't know if you'll see even this or not, but I thought I would just in case others have had this problem. I don't have a rock solid solution, but of course, I had to deal with this issue over the years several times. Usually with the mouse PS/2. I also had very difficult to find useful to question answers. It seems that there are many people who simply do not use the middle button as a shortcut for double click. I hate not having this double click the middle button.

Finally, what works for me (years before), it's that I found a Logitech software that everything worked well with my PS/2 mouse 3 button. I think it was like Version 9.03, and no less.

Now, I'm having the same problem again with the USB mouse... drivers or lack of pilots. When you have the problem, if you look in your Dashboard under the software of your mouse, you will likely see that there is no option of three buttons available. There the scroll wheel and click lines how much you want to scroll to each tread of the wheel (or if you want to lock the scrollbar) but no third option button and that's the problem. You need to find a driver that has this option and you can get it to work with the mouse that you ever then your problem is solved. This is a Windows problem... nothing in the bios either.

I'm sure that there is someone out there who has a better tham solution = n me but at least if someone knows this problem... you are not alone, and now you know... it's the fault of Windows!

  • Laptop computer HP mouse left button does not

I'm not a computer person, so I apologize in advance if I get words wrong. Information about the specifications are the HP Support Assistant.

    I have a HP Pavilion laptop G6 (product number A4A93UA #ABA)

    I am running Windows 7 (64-bit)

    My microprocessor (if it's important) is an Intel (r) Core i5 - 2430 M CPU @2. 40 GHz

I have 4 GB of system memory

The pointing device is Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad

I hope that I didn't miss something important.

I'm having some problems, mainly the left button of the mouse does not work. I searched and searched for an answer, but I can't seem to find a. The touchpad itself works perfectly. I can double-tap to click, press on and drag the highlight, etc.. The right button of the mouse works fine as well. It brings up a menu each time as it is supposed to. The left button on the other hand, does not at all. I had the computer for about 6 months, so my warranty is still in tact. I was hoping just to find a simple solution, before passing through the process of return to HP or Best Buy.

At first, the left button seemed to lag. It works sometimes and not others. Then it stopped completely (all within a period of a few days), what happened a month ago. Since then, I was looking for answers and dealing with just. even if it is super boring!

Another thing I noticed is around the time that the mouse itself has stopped working, my Start menu was allowed out entirely. When I searched the HP Support Assistant, he didn't. I had to go through the program files for access. Nothing is displayed in the start - menu it is empty with the exception of Norton, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and the menu accessories (but inside she, notebook, Run and command prompt, are the only things that appear.

So overall - my Start menu is almost empty, and my left mouse button does not work.

I tried to install the new drivers, but no luck.

I mean it's a hardware problem, but the thing on the part of the menus disappearing makes me wonder if it's a virus. I would try a Windows CD as Hiren PXE environment and see if the mouse works with different software. But it's a longshot and the likely answer is that the mouse circuit is bad. The only other thing you could try is a factory restore.

  • The Microsoft Wireless mouse right button does not work

The right button of the mouse on my Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 does not - at first I thought that it was a hardware problem, but when I used the mouse properties/control panel to change the buttons on the mouse, the right button worked and the left mouse button does not, which leads me to believe that it is related to the software/driver.
I have the latest version of the driver/Intellipoint software.  I am running Win 7 32 bit on a Lenovo ThinkPad T410.
Change the port USB did not help; the problem persists, no matter which USB port I use for the receiver.
Reinstall the software Intellipoint also did not help.
It is a recent issue; I had the mouse for several months and it has worked well upward until a few days ago.
Googling the problem that leads me to believe that it is a common problem, although most people seem to think it's a hardware problem.

  • Satellite P200D-139 - left CTRL key does not

Hello. I recently bought a new P200D-139 and have found that the left CTRL button does not work. For example, if I try to copy using CTRL + C, it does not. It is the way in which the keyboard is configured with these laptops or is it a problem of possible hardware/software?

All the tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same laptop and CTRL + C works on the first day. The laptop with muss factory settings allow you to use this key combination.
It works with the right CTRL key?

The other day, I bought a mouse Arc.  My right button works fine, but my left button does not respond unless I have push down hard and hold the button for one second.   Simple click, it translates the button press then to click but nothing happens.  I guess it's just a bad mouse and not a systematic design problem?
