My Lenovo Y330 laptop suddenly stops.

Hi guys.

I use my laptop for all 10months now and since I've upgraded to Windows 7, I am unable to make one of my videos from my Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, even, Media Encoder and more...

I also noticed that whenever I'm playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, after a while my laptop suddenly stops. So I think, it's because the processor in my laptop works 100% and it it stop automatically? But what I don't understand is, when I was with 64-bit Windows Vista SP2, this does not happen. Help me please...

I read in some of the previous posts that there could be a bug or a worm with "Energy Cup"? who's who? can someone enlighten me please? Thank you.

Here's my laptop specs. :

Lenovo Y330

Intel Core 2 Duo T5870
Apacer 4 GB DDR2 800 mhz RAM
WD Scorpio Blue 250 GB-5400 RPM

ATI Radeon HD3450

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I already have 2 clean installations of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it still happens... = c

OK if everything works before I would say that your Chair plastic causing an electrostatic discharge and it is going through your computer and causing spikes and he thinks that there is a surge and causing it to stop. You have to find a Chair not static plasic or you'll have a short-lived mobile soon. Touch the edge is a discharge electrostatic transfer into the computer and it detects more tension and stop to protect themselves. It's like walking with socks on the carpet a touch a doorknob in metal and you will allow a "Zap" is an electrostatic discharge and what id hit your laptop and it will make short work (pun intended) of you laptop.

  • HP Pavilion G7: Laptop suddenly stopped working after applying an update

So I was watching netflix and I got the warning that I had five minutes to shut down the computer or it would be closed himself so that he could catch up. I had done the things in closing and stop it by pressing the power button and in now supported.  Then, I turned on the computer laptop back and he started to update so I zoned out of it and watched something on my phone. While doing so I noticed some type of error message update and do not touch, it's because the last time it happened that just rebooted without the update. However instead he himself off and does not turn around. I tried to hit the buitton of power to reactivate and that did not work. I also tried the suggestions I found on this website to support such as take out the battery and unplug the power adapter to the power source.

    Hi @Spinto46,

    Thank you for the update.

You have determined that the adapter works, it could be in the laptop power button.  The laptop will require a repair.  Please contact HP support for service options. They provide you with an estimate before performing any repairs.

Contact HP to Contact HP Support assistance

If you are not under warranty, a local repair shop should be able to provide an estimate also.

When I run certain Adobe programs like photoshop (illustrator and indesign works fine however) and competitor Autodesks Revit, software Archicad and Artlantis 3D works great. My Pavilion m6-1040eo turns suddenly, the screen becomes dark powerbutton glowing stops and the death warrant of fans.

He didn't is not a problem of heat in this case the program would begin normally, the fans run hot and no warning of the BIOS when I start the computer again.

I'm running a clean install of Windows 8.1 with all drivers up to date.

It seems "/ 3 gb switch" was the culprit. Follow the instructions on the site Revit on how to turn it off.

  • Lenovo IdeaCentre 700 suddenly stops

I've only had the AIO for about 3 weeks and about half a dozen times during this period, he just switched off and then restarted in the middle of using it. It's happened just browsing, playing a game online and even work in offline mode on a worksheet. When he did today, I opened the Lenovo companion app when rebooting and noticed the last time he made an analysis of the system update was two minutes ago, everything when he died. Is it possible that he was the cause? Others see the same question? If this is the problem, what can I do? Rather not to return, but I shouldn't be having issues like this with a 3 - week old machine. Everything else with it seems fine.

    Hello

Laptops automatically stops due to high temperatures.

Have you noticed a higher temperature? Game all devices such as GPU or CPU executed with the highest performance and create the heat dissipation which can raise the temperature so, possibly, it's reason for the unexpected shutdown of the bottom.

Usually, you must use the clean Toshiba graphics card drivers because these drivers supports thermal protection that allows to keep the temperature low

My laptop always suddenly stops 10 minutes after the start, even if it is clearly completely cooled. When it stopped, the power button will not and no flash for any button or keyboard. I have to wait a while and try many times to start it up again, and then it stops immediately.

It is under warranty, but I do not know how to find a supporter technic to fix it.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi @Erjia

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see you have a problem with your laptop close unexpectedly. It looks like a hardware problem, from what you described. I'll assume you are using Windows 8.1 and this document from HP tests to hardware failures will show how to test the majority of your material. Use UEFI diagnostic tools and run System Test - extended Test.

You can also use the System File Checker to scan your operating system for corruptions see if something is wrong. I also suggest to do a Check Disk as well.

If you are looking for someone to fix it you can call HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

    Hi SergeyPov,

I see that you are having problems with your fingerprint reader on your laptop. I'd love to help you.

You mentioned that you also updated the BIOS. After doing that you did that the fingerprint reader is always enabled in the BIOS?

Another option would be to possibly check the connections related to the fingerprint reader. It may have a bad contact, or it is also possible that the Board is defective. See the link below that can help checking the connection.
