  • Windows 7 appears not all hearts

Previously, I had Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit no service pack installed upward on the AMD FX 6100. The Windows experience index, the number of processors hearts was leaked like 6. After replacing my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit service Pack 1 operating system, I found that the number of specified processor cores became 3 instead of 6. I tried the fix provided by Microsoft, repeated several times Windows experience index, tried the utility system configuration, but in vain. Could someone please fix this?

CPU AMD FX 6100 is divided into three modules with two nuclei by heart physical ' logic', so the reports are specific for different reasons (assuming that you have not experienced a drop in performance of the real world).
The disparity in terms of communication is due to the design in the 'modules' of FX series cpu, the power sharing
and the way Windows this module/kernel configuration.
You may be able to get six hearts reported again so. Check in the BIOS cpu settings and see
If the core cpu control is set to auto vs manual.
'Turbo' on or off may also change the way Windows reports the number of cores.

  • Computer Windows XP detects not * all * critical updates or high priority

    Hello

I am and have been, problems with a computer Windows XP here at work that does not detect critical updates either Windows Update or Microsoft Update.  In fact, the only update that is currently available to me is one for Silverlight.  I also checked that no update is currently hidden.  In addition, when checking "Add/Remove Programs" when you select the check box 'Show updates', that an update installed is listed: Security Update for Windows XP (KB923786).

I should also mention that I don't get any errors whatsoever in the analysis of updates; simply, the updates are not listed as being available for me to install.  It's almost as if he thinks that I have already installed.

This computer running Windows XP SP3 and Internet Explorer 6 installed (Internet Explorer 7 or 8 is not an update available) I have not tried to install IE7 manually although I can try soon (if you think it can solve my problem).

    Here's what I've tried:
I tried to reinstall the Windows Update Agent using the command: windowsupdateagent30 - x 86 .exe /wuforce
I tried to reset the Windows Update components using the tool 'Fix It' of this article (I did not all the steps manually): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

This is the last release of my file WindowsUpdate.log last time I tried to search for updates:

As I suspected, the computer has a (very early) beta of SP3 installed. Uninstall, reboot twice, and then install Windows XP SP3 Final [1] & restart twice again.

Tip: Do NOT install IE8 via Windows Update! Just 'hide' for now, please. (Believe me).

    Hi Mohammed Ghouse.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. What is the type of internet connection you use on the computer?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Check if the problem persists in mode safe mode with network mode and post back with the results.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2

If the problem does not persist in mode safe mode with networking mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. Click Start , and then click run.
    2. Type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
  • How to import Windows some but not all the photos on my iPad Photo Gallery

I have 50 photos on my ipad that are not duplicated on the Windows Photo Gallery. I want to transfer these 50 only.

When you plugin your iPad and Windows Explorer opens then AutoPlay work.

If Windows Explorer does not AutoPlay does not work because you have Update KB971029

To open your device manually: click Start, point to computer, click on Apple iPad.

    Double-click internal storage,

Double click on the DCIM file, double-click the file, there are photos!

Right-click on your desktop, point to new, and then click folder.

Drag the image you want and hold it on the new folder, it will say then exit "copy to the new folder.

the peak and it will be placed in the new folder.

You can highlight as many photos as you want then click on one of the photos highlight and drag all the

of them and place them in the folder at a time.

Once inside the folder open Windows Photo Gallery.

In the menu click file, click Add folder to Gallery, click new folder, OK

This way you will be left with a double folder on the desktop that you can delete if you want.

If you don't want a double record:

You can open your photos in the start menu and drag the folder to your desktop computer for your

pictures in the folder and the folder will be automatically added to the Windows Photo Gallery.

  • Windows 8 recognizes not all USB ports

Everything I plug my usb ports is not detected. All my USB drivers say this: the software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the supplier of material for a new driver. (Code 48)

Click on 'Search for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
Seeking solutions does nothing. Any suggestions?

OK GUYS - HERE'S THE ANSWER:

For starters, I had the exact problem as OP. I upgraded my windows 7 to Windows 8, about 2 weeks ago, and all of a sudden all 8 of my USB does not work.

I had MS Answerdesk Diagnostics TWICE to try to solve this problem, the last time they said that their agents of level 2 had to work on the computer (but never called).

After looking online for the past 2 WEEKS and no answer final as to really solve this problem, CKnospe option actually worked, but I had to do one thing first:

I was going to install and uninstall the program to see if there is nothing, since HAVE charger didn't appear on the list of population programmes.

There were 3 options after I unpacked and loaded Setup program. Repair, installation and the bottom option was 'DELETE '.

I chose to delete, as I didn't even know the program was on my computer (doesn't appear on the list of population programmes) and he forced a restart.

After the reboot: BOOM, my USB FUNCTION.

Hope that anyone looking for an answer to this tent I've done. I can't express how I am happy with this easy as pie. Seriously joygasm here.

    Peace.

  • PSC 950xi and Windows 7 problem: not all pages are printed

This problem has been reported by other at least 2 x in the past, go back for 2010, but there is no satisfactory solution that worked for everyone.  A real difficulty should not be available now?

My PSC 950xi printer works perfectly with Windows XP.  Then I got a new laptop with Windows 7 and the 'good' HP driver has been installed automatically, as described in your Web site.  But now most of my impressions are incomplete; only the first part of the document is printed, and the last printed page is reduced by half.  Sometimes nothing prints. "Error" appears in the print queue, and I have to cancel the document to even try another impression (which then often does not work). I tried reinstalling my driver, as explained by HP, but without success

A user suggested defining the "printer" HPCPP118 (RAW data type) processor (printer properties > advanced > Print Processor).  It worked for him.  However, it is not possible for me (and at least one other user) because the only available print processor is winprint.

I hope you can help.   PSC 950 is not on the list of printers HP can't stand not (at least not on the list I've seen online)

It seems to have solved the problem (1) Control Panel/hardware and Sound/display devices and printers, then right clicking on my printing device and select remove device. T (2) with printer, I unplugged my USB connector and then plugged back in and Windows 7 found the right printer driver automatically. (3) I had to wait a period of time (less than a minute) for the printer (re) - added to appear as the device by default and with the right image. (4) I never chose "Add printer" at all; Windows 7 was able to add a new when the USB connector is connected.

When I click on the tab bookmarks, a hundred or two bookmarks are listed after that is below the category 'Favorite IE imported' which DO NOT appear in the library under this category; Only about 5 categories appear in this pane... e. g Google; iTunes etc... and none of them opens to show me the list either... At present, either by the way when I go a page and clicking on the star to 'eliminate' also does not delete the bookmark.

This was a huge waste of time and effort because he tries and fails to reinstall everytime I stop.

    RECAP:

    • You bought the computer in January 2009;
    • The computer came with a preinstalled free McAfee;
    • A McAfee application was permanently installed until you have installed Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) on 23 August 2012;
    • You first met the problems associated with malware (according to MBAM) in June 2010, the first year of your McAfee subscription.
    • You have problems with Windows Update (MSE) on October 12, 2013, more than a year after you have installed MSE;
    • You have improved the pre-installed McAfee free trial to the full version rather than uninstall the free trialware, running the tool to remove McAfee & then make a clean installation of the paid version.
    • You have uninstalled the McAfee application until you have installed MSE but you don't not download/run the removal tool from McAfee before installing MSE.

    MY HUMBLE OPINION...

    • It was too late for the "come to the rescue" McAfee removal tool here.
    • There is a possibility, but remote, you see the effects of an infection for a long time of a certain type (because MSE has not been installed correctly & so never worked properly due to 'remains' of McAfee).
    • The computer must be connected to the internet or local networks (i.e. other computers) in its current state. All your personal data (e.g., banking online & passwords credit card) must be considered at risk, if not already compromised.

Then what are you doing now?

OPTION A: You can get Microsoft-sponsored Premium (i.e., paid) supported by the Office of response-online http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com [1]

OPTION B (highly recommended): see the poster in this thread and follow the instructions of (my) WHOLE (to-the-letter & in order! ) to restore your computer to a State safe & functional: http://answers.microsoft.com/thread/c44429fb-3f7c-4646-8529-5a97bb3cd0eb

If you need additional help with the clean install, please start your own new thread in this forum & advice: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-system

If these procedures are outside your technique "comfort zone" - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the local computer, reputable and independent (i.e., not a 'BigBoxStore' or Geek Squad!) computer repair shop & let them do the work.

OPTION C: Bite the bullet & buy a new computer (Win7).

    • If you want to transfer your personal data to the new computer, backup data from one or more DVDs (no shine). Perform analyses considered at least two 2 online (e.g., ESET;) Kaspersky; Bit Defender) of the DVD (s) before you transfer the data to the new computer.

Wish I had better news for you, Roz.  Good luck!  On & off...

  • Version 6.0 of Windows Mail in Windows Vista does not all emails that hit the server.

    Hello

I use Windows mail, version 6.0.6000.16386. for Microsoft Vista.

It seems tht that not every email will make it through Windows mail. I checked with my internet provider and we can see the e-mails hit the server, but it was as if Windows mail has been picking up a choice than to receive mails.

When we access the server directly, it seems to work. Anyone can help?

    Thank you.

Simply select the account under Tools | Accounts | Mail, then click on remove.  You will need to know the parameters to set it up again.  McAfee is known to cause problems with Windows Mail.  You will not be able to correct them if you continue to use McAfee.  Alternatively, you can try to compact and repair the database of WinMail to see if that helps (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

  • Open/Save dialog box as in Windows 7 appear not

    Hello

I have an intermittent problem with Windows 7.  I tend to keep the programs up and running for weeks, because every day instead of shutting down the computer, I put on standby.  The problem is, after a few weeks to go in and out of sleep, the open/save as box stops in programs which were broadcast during weeks of dialogue.  Here is an example:

I open word, excel, firefox, January 1.  I opened random documents by clicking through Explorer or just browse the web.  But I never completely close all programs.  I could open up doc1, doc2, doc3, doc1 close, open doc4, narrow doc2, etc..  All programs stay in memory.  After a few weeks, said Jan 28, if I select file-> open, the dialog box is not pop up.  I can open via the documents Explorer, but no file-> open.  Also, I can't make a file-> save as.  I can do-> file save (saves the document), but nothing that causes the dialog box.  It is reproducible in word, excel, firefox, or any other program, I leave the door open for several weeks.

Here's the weird second problem.  Say I got word, excel, and firefox open for weeks.  If I exit excel completely, and then restart, the dialog box continues to work in excel.  But it remains broken in word and firefox.

Everyone race in this issue?  Somehow I can fix this without having to restart the program?  The main reason, it's a problem for me is because I do not often know that this problem occurred.  Hopefully, I'll open a spreadsheet from a web page and start editing.  I try to do a save as, only to find the pop dialog box - up will not appear and I can't save the work I do.  Or I have a word document open for weeks.  I usually just hit the Save button, but this time I want to save it under a different name.  I can't do it while this problem is here and I have to close microsoft word completely to get the box to start working again.

    Thanks for your help!

The key is that every so often, you have to restart things, windows programs, the computer itself, in order clearly to all the memory, unload all managers, the .dll files - indeed clear the cobwebs from the computer. If you do not, you can continue to run into the problem you describe.

For my part, even if I do not turn off my computer, I restart from time to time to get a fresh start, for me, that means being able to have all the features with drag-and-drop processes; for you, this is the Save as dialogue box.

    Nothing else to do.

    Kind regards
