My macbook pro battery will not hold a charge

My macbook pro battery will not hold a charge. I took in an Apple reseller and claimed him install a new battery. He said that my battery was still good. I asked him to install a new battery just to have a brand new machine. With the new battery installed, the computer still will not hold a charge for very long. I got the Apple dealer and he ran several tests without conclusive results. I always have a laptop that will not hold a charge and must be connected to use for any period of time. Can anyone offer a solution? Thank you.

  • Satellite A60 - Battery will not hold a charge

Recently, my A60 Satellite 1 years stopped to load completely. If connected to the power supply, it works fine, but the battery not hold a charge at all and register under the 0% charged. Therefore impossible to use the 'portable' unless it is connected to the power supply. It was working fine, then suddenly one day stopped working!

Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what we can do? (preferably without replacing the batteries - a little more than a way of years out of warranty of course)

    Thank you

    Hello

This looks like a dead battery. The fact is that you can charge the battery about 500 times. After this period, the battery is dead or loose performance immediately.
I think that the only chance to solve this problem is to replace the battery.

  • ages 7 months and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes

My HP pavilion Entertainment PC is 7 months old and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes.  In addition, the battery icon says "fully charged, do you replace battery.»

With batteries which cost $129, I'm a little ticked off.  I can't find information - anywhere on this site!

The guarantee covers a dead battery?

I bought 5 HP because of their excellent warranty.  But this, honesty, will be my last, if the battery is not covered.

Thanks in advance for the advice and guidance!

Wow, awesome!  Thank you very much!  The only thing you could have said or done was better deliever the new battery!

  • MacBook Pro A1260 will not be in service 9/10 times

Got an A1260 of MacBook Pro which does not start until 9 / 10 times.  When you try to turn it on, the white sleep button flashes, optical drive makes noise, sleep button turn off, pause, turns on, then off again.  No boot chime sound unless it turns on with SUCCESS.  The computer battery died FYI.  The charger is original magsafe 85w.

    I have reset:

    SMC

    PRAM

    Re-seated memory (more info below)

Removed all memory - let it beeps 10 - with a pause in between each beep.  Signals from the chip firmware is OK.

Took off the keyboard and clean the computer with my compressor

    Check internal connections

The first time I have reset the SMC, I was able to start on the first try.  When the computer was fine on the desktop, even though it is warm to the touch.  Memory in system information out like OK.  I checked the hard drive is good, etc..

If I try to reboot the computer, 9/10 times it will restart It just stops.

STOCK of 4 GB of memory:

Went out the 1st module memory in SLOT 1 and it starts.  Do not restart correctly.  Started via the Start button / stop after his stop.  Second attempt to restart the desktop computer has failed.

Put 2nd module from memory SLOT 2 INTO SLOT 1.  Did not start.  Come the second press, obtained in normal blue Mac screen, then it became black.

    * Removed 2nd module of memory *.

Put 1 memory module in SLOT 2 - Startup successfully.  Do not restart correctly.  Has not pressed after his stop start to the first power.  Is not starting on the second power in a hurry.  Is No start to the third power in a hurry.

Put 1 module of memory in SLOT 1 - Startup successfully.  Successful restarting #1.  Successful restarting #2.  Successful restarting #3.

Replace 1 memory module in SLOT 2.  power button 4 press NO BOOT.

Replace 1 memory module in SLOT 1.  power button 4 press NO BOOT.

I think here is the logic board is a failure - a common problem with this model.

The computer is currently ONE with 1 stick of memory.  I had run it yesterday with both sticks in.  Once I tried to restart it, it wouldn't start up again.

Purchase of a new Council of logic for this machine is not worth the money.  I'll probably the GPU to reflow.

    Any other suggestions?

  • MacBook pro 2012 will not identify new SSD

I just bought a macbook pro of 2012 and have used it for two weeks without flaws with my 250 GB samsung SSD drive. Now I tried to update the size and bought myself a Corsair Force THE 480 GB to use as the primary drive. I plugged it in, but the mac does not recognize the drive. So I formatted with another mac and tried again. Still no luck. Tried the old drive. No luck with that one or the other. So I knew the data cable from being broken. But when I plug a normal HARD disk it recognizes when in the main location. So the question is, what is the problem with the mac? I don't understand.

And help will be greatly appreciated

Have you plugged the SSD (both) external via USB and will the boot the MBP?

When you have the SSD inside, can I none, one or two boot the MBP?

    Ciao.

The problem is constantly after several hours of charging. More importantly, the system turns off when he takes off at the power source.

    Hello Rowlandogunti,

Most likely, you will need to replace the battery. It seems that your battery is not. Please try to access bios information when you start the machine. You can check the status of your battery. The power adapter has been working for your machine off when unplug you the unit.

  • My iPad will not hold a charge and won't

My iPad is showing a red - battery flat. If I connect it to the charger, it tries to go - see the white Apple logo and about 30 seconds later it turns off, but in another 10-15 seconds, it shows once again the flat red battery and the cycle continues indefinitely - red battery Logo - Logo - Off - red of the battery... Help, please.

    A few options.

your battery is toast and can't hold a charge.

Your charger may not give the battery what suits him so it cannot load.

The cable is not making a good connection for recharging.

Make sure that you use an iPad, not an iPhone, one charger. iPhone Chargers put only half as much power as the iPad ones.

If you have another charger and cable, those Exchange and see if your iPad will charge. Be aware that if you are up to the Red level of the battery, it will take at least half an hour for your device be used.

Also, look in the loading port and make sure that it is clean. As silly as it may sound a piece of lint can impede charging. Make sure that the contacts on your charging cable are clean.

If you can try another charger and cable and your iPad still hold a charge then the battery can be turned. (they have a limited life span)

You can contact your local apple store or service provider authorized and put in place an appointment to have the battery checked and possibly replaced. The tax is around $ 100 unless you have Apple care. If you do, and it's within the warranty period, replacement can be free.

  • iPhone 5 c will not hold a charge

I got my iPhone 5 c for a few months (since December), and this is the first time that this has happened. Generally, the battery will drain and load normally (or normally according to what I have done research online). Now, however, he died in a single day.

At 5:45, it is 100%. I unplugged and sleeping back, without messing around on it AT ALL. I was not even unlock the screen. I turned off the screen, upside down and went back to sleep.

07:03, it is 83%. I made sure that there is no background apps on, it was not cool my mail and my data roaming was off. I had to turn it on to operation on low battery because by 07:58, it was 69 percent.

When I'm on it, no matter what I do, it takes about 1-2% every few minutes - even in low battery mode. When I load it, however, it goes up to about 1% every 10-20 minutes. It empties faster than the load.

When he is in charge and I'm on it, the battery is at a standstill.

I tried to do the reset and restore a new phone, but this did not help.

What should I do? Do I need to take it to an Apple Store and get it fixed? I bought the phone off eBay, so there is no guarantee. And I have no money to pay for it if it goes to more than $100.

One more thing (I don't know if it of important or not) - you know how a laptop can get hot e undernea if you've been on it a while? The bottom of my phone (where the charger is), heats up after awhile on my phone (30 minutes does not charge and at a time when it is).

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you

  • MacBook Pro battery does not load

Hi, I recently bought a NuPower OWC battery. I installed it in my MBP 13 ". It works great the first few days. I performed the cycle of charge/discharge, then noticed the other day when the use of my MBP and I plugged in the charger, when I clicked on the symbol of the battery it says "battery: no charge. I turned it off, and then after a while the light from GREEN to ORANGE charger. I loaded all night. Then the next day, same thing happen. "Battery: no current charging", but when I turned it off, it has been 2 hours since plugged in charger GREEN light does not change to AMBER. Is it possible that the battery is faulty?

  • OfficeJet Pro L7580 will not hold settings network by hand... not visible on the network

Yes... Once again... Another question about the famous OfficeJet Pro L7580 all in one.

I can't write all the IP settings and get the machine to save.  No matter how many times I try, it's always defaults to "automatic" and when I print the network settings page I get all the relevant numbers as 0.0.0.0.  I tried the network diagnostic tool, I have read all the instructions, I am a network expert.  I searched this problem on Google and all I see is to throw this thing in the trash.

I also downloaded the official patch from HP for Windows 7 64 bit network, but when I try to run this fix, it is said that the patch is not provided for Windows 7.

Should I trash this thing or is there a fix. ?

    Thank you

  • Macbook Pro retina does not illuminate

    Hi all

I have a 2015 13 "Macbook Pro, that will not start at all. Last night I came back after a day holiday and powered to the top of my Macbook for the first time in two weeks. The battery level was around 25%, so I plugged the magsafe and did some navigation / watching Youtube. I noticed the GET a little slow mac and a youtube video stutter a bit, but it was late so I was not too concerned and put the Mac to sleep mode by closing the lid.

This morning, after waking up, I noticed that the magsafe light was still orange, which seemed strange to me as he did pay for one night for a good 10 hours. I opened the cover, but the mac does not wake up. I pressed the power button and the computer booted. At first, everything seemed OK but the computer seems slow and internet soon.

As the bright light battery was still orange that I flew over the battery icon, which showed 100%. I unplugged the magsafe and he fell immediately to 0%, so I reconnected it. I went to make a diagnosis, however about 20-30 seconds later the computer shuts down.

Since then, he failed to power to the top of all and nothing I have try works. I tried to hold the power button down, but nothing. There is no edge and the caps lock button is not illuminated, so I know that is not a problem of display.

I left the magsafe plugged in for 4 hours, and it's still orange.

I have reset the SMC. While this life Magsafe turns green for a few seconds, and then turn the orange back.

I tried an another magsafe, which is the same, so I've reduced that as a problem.

I spoke to Apple support, who say it could be the battery and take it to an Apple store. My most close is a 150 miles round trip, and there is no reserves for the next 8 days. I'm sure this will be a hardware problem, but everyone does not accept that it is likely to be the battery? I did have problems with the battery before it and the charge went really well. Would not the Mac boot always if there was a problem with the battery while it is still plugged into the mains?

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated

There could be several reasons why your macbook pro turns on.  Just throw the grounds up into the air and choose one.

  • MacBook Pro (2014) does not charge despite an orange light when plugged

    Hello

So my 2 year old Macbook Pro (retina) does not load when it is plugged in - spite, projecting the orange light. I have a battery (20%) and it is reduced whenever I use it and will be soon drained.

Some of the things I've tried

-Reset SMC - tried but no change after

-When I use the mac when it is plugged in the battery icon in the top bar done see the support - but there is no increase in % of the battery. Continuous use it starts to fall.

-During use (and what battery is plugged) - I checked the report system (about this Mac section) - in the energy sector - it is said does not charge (despite being connected, the orange light and the symbol in the top bar)

What do you think guys that it is? MLB? Battery?

What I have to replace or can it be fixed?

If you have the Apple store, take the machine evaluation.  There is no charge for this, but you need an appointment.   The first thing I would check would be the cable.  You have another machine to test this with.
