My MBPro crashed and I replaced it with a new one. Apple migrated my prem software to my new camera. I can not open them. I'm trying to download the same suite on the adobe site. My question is, can I uninstall existing software first?

When you re-installed Photoshop, you also re-installed the version of Camera Raw comes with Photoshop - in other words came back you to an old version of Camera Raw, which does not support the D5100.

In Photoshop, click Help > updates to update Camera Raw.

Please try with steps below:
Step 1:
Launching the activity of utilities, monitor make sure that no process of Adobe is executed as AAMUpdater, creative cloud, COreSync, installation, configuration, PDApp, Adobe Crash Demon... etc force quit all Adobe processes.
Step 2:
(1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.
(2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return './ Library
(3) then navigate to Application Support > Adobe.
Open the Adobe folder and locate the folder named OOBE and rename it to old OOBE.
Step 3:
If any trash handler application Adobe Utilities folder.
(It is necessary to trash Adobe Application manage, rather than crush just by installing Adobe Application Manager)
If it's affordable, replacement / fresh install is better than repairing hehe
Step 4:

(If you already downloaded installation file, no need to download it again)
If you are able to install Adobe Application manager, once the installation process is complete, be sure to update.

There are several potential issues at stake here.
First of all, make sure that you use the Windows product key is for the full XP Pro version not the upgrade version.
Secondly, many manufacturers of computers for the last few years have provided computers with Windows XP installed, but a product key of Vista on the side. If this is your situation, you need to call the manufacturer of your computer for the installation media or call microsoft to "downgrade rights."
Thirdly, if you use a product key that was provided for Windows XP Service Pack 3, and you use the older installation media, it will not accept this product key. You need to get your hands on support for XP Service Pack 3.

There is an apparent bug that causes the fuse download progress bar to stay at 0% until it is complete. Given that the fuse is a comprehensive program, it can take a long time to complete the download. How much time depends on your internet speed, but it can vary considerably.
