I have several tracks in each playlist and does not know how to get the player to play in the sequence. It doesn't seem to be any significance that we play at a given time.
Did you accidentally put Media Player to Shuffle? It is located to the left of the playback controls, it looks like two arrows crossing each other.

It started earlier - don't know what settings caused this.
It is possible that you just recorded music in the right folder.
They are the same files?
One of them have small arrows shortened on them as your desktop icons have usually showing that they are shortcuts?
Compare file names / albums and report after return of screenshots.

I don't know if it is the version 11 of media player or not (I guess it's but I forgot how to check) all that was on DVD Vista Ultimate 64-bit Dell reinstallation I did yesterday.
When I insert a CD in the Player tab extract, it will try to start but then stops and gives the error message in the column State of Rip. I try to read the CD and will play the first track, but then the rest of them came up with error messages.
I tried the Microsoft Fix - It tool, but he did not find the problem.
I made sure I had the latest drivers/firmware for my CD/DVD drive via hardware tech support Dell
I tried to download the updates of the multimedia player by microsoft, but the stand-alone installer says "the update does not apply to your system"Any help in diagnosing this problem is sincerely appreciated!
Thank you
JeffOK I now reformat the C drive and did a clean install of the vista 64 bit SP1 disc and download updates from windows update... see if that would help solve this problem

Windows Media Player shows the library ghost
I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I deleted everything in my music library, but Windows Media Player shows that I have several albums there. When I try to play songs, WMP says that they aren't there. When I try to delete them, nothing happens.
Something seems to have gotten corrupted, but I have no idea how to solve this problem.
You can erase the Media Player library altogether by the removal of the database
Output Media Player
Run services.msc and stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service
In the box start the search menu, enter %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft , and delete the folder Media Player.
Open Windows Media Player and it will recreate the database from scratch, so you will get the computer search for media files dialogue.
