  • My monitor won't wake up

I have a HP 6560 b with Windows 7.  Only in the last days, this problem.  When the monitor goes to sleep, I can't wake him up.  I can hear the computer wake up - the fan starts - but the screen remains dark.  I have to reboot to get to the back of the screen.

    Any help is most appreciated.

    Hello jorlofsky.

Have you noticed that the internal LCD screen waking up rather than the external monitor?

If the problem arose only in the last days you can also try to perform a Microsoft System Restore.  The steps are as follows.

    1. Restart your computer and press F11, until the recovery of load Manager.
    2. Select "Microsoft System Restore" under Advanced Options.
    3. Select a point before when the problem started.
    4. Check if the problem persists.

This should not affect the personal files other than those that are stored on your desktop.  So be sure to back up all the files on your desktop before performing these steps.

Let me know the result.  Have a great day.

  • 2nd monitor doesn't Wakup after sleep

After windows turns off my two screens, one of them wakes up when I move the mouse. The only way to get the screens, is to run a windows program that triggers a dialog box "User Access Control" (i.e. the Device Manager).
I am running two 1920 x 1080 monitors on my Vista Home Premium computer via my Geforce 9200 card. A monitor is driven via HDMI and the other via a VGA cable. After 20 minutes based on my power settings, Windows disables the views.  When I started to work again through the mouse or keyboard, only the monitor connected via HDMI wakes up.
I have the latest drivers from nVidia.
    Thanks in advance,

Hi, I realized that it was only afterwards that I had updated my Nvidia drivers. I downgraded back to an earlier version and no longer have the problem. Thanks for your help!

  • Alienbware X51R3 with S2716DG from Dell doesn't wake up from sleep mode

I recently bought a new Alienware X51R3 and Dell S2716DG Monitor. The PC happened a few weeks earlier from the monitor, and the system worked very well (and wake up from his sleep normally) on the old monitor.

After setting the new monitor (executed in a single monitor configuration) on the display port, the PC is no longer waking up from his sleep. I tried to update the driver for the monitor and turning off the monitor 'Deep sleep' works without success.

It worked fine with the previous monitor so I think that the monitor is most likely the culprit but haven't found a solution or work around yet. Power off the PC everytime I walk away from it or disabling sleep seems completely unnecessary.

The Dell Support program help hard locks - the PC every time I launch...

After a little violin, I was able to adjust the settings for PCI Express Link State Power Management from the command line with:

    powercfg 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e 501a4d13-42af-4429-9fd1-a8218c268e20 ee12f906-d277-404b-b6da-e5fa1a576df5 0

Will test the sleep options and report.

  • 6500 a doesn't wake up

If I leave my Officejet 6500 a + for a day or two, with the pc off, but the printer fed up, when I then try to print either wireless or via the USB port the printer won't wake up «» There is no answer to the power button and I have to unplug the printer, then reconnect again in order to use it. This means waste on another game to the top and of course doesn't stop print jobs sent to it by you internet.

    Help please

    Nice day

The problem of 'deep sleep' seems to have been resolved. The technician took me to a hidden menu that is accessed by a touch area not visible to the left of the homescreen on the printer. From there, he had me wipe the firmware, and then reinstall the latest version. Then I had to reset the printer on my network, etc (as if it were a first installation). This has given some difficulties as somehow my computer and then connected to and the unknown network without net access. A rstore for the previous day which set and now everything is OK.

  • Latitude E6410 doesn't wake from sleep

I recently got an E6410 used for my wife. I installed Windows 7 above. All is well except that he awakens from his sleep. When she is done with her, she must remember to do a shutdown or Hibernate. If she is simply closed the lid, put it to sleep, he never wakes up, and she must pull the battery to restart.

    Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with my Latitude E6510 (under Win 7 x 64). Tried a bunch of suggestions, and solved... I think so.

My theory is that the computer has been the difficulty to restart sleep - internal and/or external hard drives (at home, I use several hard drives via a Dell docking station; to work I use not all except residents).

I went to options / advanced settings of power and sleep mode / connected forever changed the option "when to stop the drives'. (I left the default setting - 10 minutes I think - for battery operation.) It was there a week and so far so good (vs ancestral almost everytime the awakening from the sleep problem previously).

Advice from the previous poster re re - install Dell drivers is probably a good, but it doesn't seem to work for me (I recently did a clean Win 7 re - install). In fact, my next troubleshooting is to try to understand why the video driver hangs on a regular basis (if the recommended Dell or a more recent version of the Board manufacturer driver.)

    Good luck.

I pulled out as it is out of warranty and isolate the problem. But the same symptom.

Dell monitor and computer says benq mobile is in economy mode and move the mouse. I checked and another laptop in the same 2 screens says switch on computer rather than the power save the message.

This makes me think that this laptop is blocked in mode 'sleep'.

Disconnect your laptop external display, power supply and remove the battery.
Leave it for a while, just connect the power and try to start the laptop.

  • Satellite M40 - monitor doesn't show anything

    Hi all

I need help. My laptop is Toshiba Satellite M - 40 model psm40c-jm800e. I don't know what the problem is, but when I turn it on the screen does not display anything. I have the monitor external, but still had the same problem. The new motherboard, I bought on Ebay and it has the same problem. Nothing appears on the screen. Everything seems to work as the LCD is on, fan is running, when I press the function key to switch between an external and internal screen LCD on the keyboard was responding but nothing appears on internal or external monitor. Please let me know what could go wrong with it possible.

    Thank you
    Alan

    Hello

It is s a serious hardware malfunction and that could be another part, as well as the modules of RAM, motherboard, etc.. Should not be the motherboard or LCD internal.

You must contact an authorized professional assistance services provider. They can make an accurate diagnosis of what is wrong and sort this out for you. :)

  • Qosmio X 770 doesn't wake up

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio X 770-116, part.nr PSBYSE-01N013BT, a serial no 8B088257K.
Windows 7 Home Prem is installed.

Usually, when I stop working, I have closed or I use normal sleep.
The option was there to also choose a deep sleep, I wanted to try.
Unfortunately my laptop won't wake up more.

When I push the power button, I can see the (red) power button light and hear the fan.
    In addition to that: nothing.

I read on the internet that there are many problems with the deep sleep.
One of the things was to remove the battery and RAM memory for 30 minutes, but that did not help for me.

Can someone help me with some advice?

    Thank you

You mean with deep sleep, hibernation mode, right?
