my music disappeared

I got a new phone for Christmas, and I noticed that not all of my music is on my new phone. In fact some of my songs are gone. Ive tried plugging my phone on my mac and research through iTunes, but I don't see them there either. This makes me really made because I spent money on these songs and I want them back. So, how can I get back them on my phone / where are they?

If they do not appear on your mac, you need to understand where you buy them at the origin.  If you purchased them through iTunes, make sure you are in the good Apple ID, then follow: download your purchases past - Apple Support if they are from another Web site, go to this site for re - download, then just drop them into iTunes.  If they are old records, you need to import CD form again.  Once they are once again in iTunes, you will be able to place them on your new iPhone.

I recently signed Apple music and shortly after, a part of my music disappeared from my iPhone 6 s.  He still appears in my iTunes library on my macbook.

I re - configure my phone and did a manual synchronization with my macbook.  The music which has not synchronized has not purchased from iTunes so I suspect that it is not recognized as music.  They were records that were downloaded from hightail and have been on my iPhone to listen to for years.

Any ideas on how to get all my songs on my iPhone?

    Hi Becky2868,

I understand that after the signing of Apple's music, music that has not purchased disappeared from unit. No worries, since you have songs in your iTunes library, you can use iCloud music library to keep all the tracks safe and secure place and then access it on all your devices you are using with Apple music. • My music disappeared from iTunes

I have all my music on my iMac, but I also have music selected in iTunes on my Macbook.  All of a sudden, the music of the Macbook disappeared and has been replaced by a reference to everything I've ever bought from iTunes.  All this will have to be downloaded on iCloud to play, there is essentially no music on my Macbook now.

If I go to the Finder and search for original music, that's all that's left in the folder, but just not appearing in iTunes.  Why is this and what happened to make my music to disappear from the interface of iTunes?

Furthermore, I don't want these other files referenced in music I've purchased previously on my Macbook at all.  I want only what I put here, so, how can I make it go away?

  • Windows media player music disappears reappears does not recognize files

Can someone help me?  I have a problem with the recognition of music files (MP3, WMA, etc.) in Windows Media Player 12 (version 12.0.7601.17514).  I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit, on my computer tower to my main hard drive. I store my media (mainly), MS Office, PDF, and other various files on disc 2 of the secondary, internal size TB.  I have an external USB hard drive enclosure I can insert my player with internal 2 TB.  This allows me to take my multimedia files with me on vacation at home.  I can use this external box to read the media on other people's computers files, when I go on vacation.  When I put the internal drive in the external case in media players, the files appear, but do not work.  Their Player Windows Media displays a red "X" next to a lot of music album files and, when these red "Xs" appear, they appear in a cluster through the album of music together.  On my home computer, these Reds 'Xs' do not appear!  Another thing, some of the albums mysteriously disappear and reappear weeks later.  However, some of the files, when I play, his corrupt and static as in some places.  Sometimes the music files will play at Midway until it cuts and a red 'X' appears.  What happens here?

  • The music disappeared from my library

A few months ago, I bought an album and today, I noticed that most of the songs on the album had disappeared. I went to the store and saw that it was as if I had never even bought the album.

    What can I do?

If it does not show in the section bought for redownloading you have checked to see if you have the hidden cloud: hide and expose the purchases made on the iBooks Store - Apple Support, App Store or iTunes Store ?

If the version of the album you bought is no longer in the store, or if you have moved since the purchase, you can re-download if you no longer have it on your phone, or your library computer iTunes, you will need to copy backup your computer back.

  • My music disappeared after update to 12.5.1.21

Updated and the new version is completely empty. Why? Where's my music? How can I get it back?

    Hi Paul,.

To make sure that we are on the same page, update you iTunes and now can not see your music. Back on what to do when that happens.

During the upgrade, your iTunes database file is saved whenever you update iTunes. If you do not see the content, you can always return to the iTunes database file backup. Take a look at the article below and it will guide you step by step on how go you upward and running with your files.

  • all my music disappeared from itunes

    Hello world

I'm not computer friendly so hope someone can help me. I spent hours and hours putting CD on my itunes, I updated my iphone and everything came from music, and when I got a new laptop and downloaded itunes to put everything on the phone, I signed in and only Itunes purchases were there... someone has any ideas on what happened on earth or how to retrieve all the?

    Bravo guys!

Music copied from CDs, or bought other stores, will appear in the computer's iTunes library a new step (unless you had subscribed to Match iTunes and transferred to it) - they will show if show if copy you them into it.

You can copy your library over your old computer, for example, How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support

You can also use home sharing to copy content between computers (if they are connected to the same wifi network): use home sharing to share content with other devices - Apple iTunes Support

Or from your backup to your library of downloads / and add it via file > add to library

  • Drop music disappeared in iMovie

I use iMovie 8.0.6 and OSX 10.10.5. I just "upgraded" to iTunes 12.4 and now I am unable to choose the music from the iTunes library with my video. It allows the use of files in a folder of iLife .caf, that I didn't know existed. No menu drop-down. I leave, restarted, reloaded, opened iTunes prior to iMovie - nothing works. I used this same process hundreds of times with the previous version of iTunes without any problems. I am very frustrated.

I saw another post with this problem in iMovie 9 and I have the same problem with iTunes 12 and iMovie 9.0.9. Everything in iMovie 10.1.2 works fine, so I think that iTunes 12 is not compatible with versions of iMovie earlier than 10.1.x. One solution might be to export the music you want on the desktop and drag in iMovie.

  • In the Vista library, stored music disappears

Media Player suddenly clears stored music when a different CD is simply played.

    Hello

Follow these methods and check if that helps:

    Method 1

Clear the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then click OK.

(c), select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note: you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    (d) restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Method 2 If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.

    (c) select the folder Media Player, and then click delete on the file menu.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  • Apple's music has disappeared

My library of Apple's music disappeared after I reconnect to my Apple account. In the preference I turn on "ICloud Music Library", but the music appears.

I have IPhone 5s with iOS 9.3.4 and active subscribe Apple music.

    Hey there guar47,

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! I see in your post that you have disconnected (e) your Apple ID in settings > iTunes and App Store, then signed back. After doing this, you have noticed that you are missing your music library on your device. I can see why this would be a concern, so I'm happy to provide tips that can help.

This is an expected behavior for the music that you have made available offline to remove after signing out and back in to your account in the settings > iTunes and App Store. That said, you should always be able to see the songs and albums you have added music from Apple. These songs should have an icon of little cloud next to them to indicate that they are part of your library, but not stored locally on the device.

As a first step, I recommend simply restarting your iPhone to see if the problem persists. If your content is still missing after restarting your device, I would open the music application and make sure that you have selected ' Show All Music'. To make sure that this option is enabled, you'll need to operate any of the different views (artists, Albums, etc.), then choose 'Show All Music '.

You have any other device that you use Apple music with? This should also help you narrow the issue further.

    See you soon!

  • All content has disappeared from my computer.  The only way I can see or access my music is to plug in my iPod.

All my content music disappeared.  When I open iTunes, I get the generic home page & no library.  I have a third (I think) generation iPod Nano and Iphone 3GS (which I use as an iPod Touch) and iPhone 4S (soon to be replaced).  The content of my phone (s) is not the same as on my iPod.  I want to update the libraries of phone but cannot because my base library (who used to live in iTunes) is no longer there.  I recently updated my PC software for 10 windows operating.
