My office has disappeared. When I start my computer boots to Windows and I can connect my profile, but my office just never came up. I can access Task Manager and get online, but no office is gone.

Ideas:

  • You have problems with programs
  • Error messages
  • Recent changes to your computer
  • What you have already tried to solve the problem

I had the same problem:

Maybe this will help you,
1. go in start and type in regedit.exe
2. go in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
3. with the selected Winlogon key, look in the right window for the

"Shell" value.

4. double-click on the Shell. In the value data box.
5. If you see something that looks like this
Explorer.exe "C:\Users\krijgsveld\AppData\Roaming\Isass.exe."

delete the part "C:\Users\krijgsveld\AppData\Roaming\Isass.exe".
6. now, the only thing that is in the value box is Explorer.exe
7. exit the registry editor and restart the computer
hope this is useful

Have renewed my subscription ExportPDF, have the confirmation e-mail, but still up pop with window 'your course has expiré' when will convert via the printer driver window. Comments / help welcome thanks :-)

    Hi azza675,

ExportPDF converts PDF files to Word and Excel formats (and many others). What you describe, sounds like you are trying to convert a file * to * PDF. Have you ever started a trial of Acrobat, maybe? (So that you can create PDFs with Acrobat, ExportPDF don't allow you to convert files to PDF.)

What happens when you connect directly to ExportPDF to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf?

    Best,

  • When I start my computer Windows 7, it starts but nothing appears on the screen.

    Original title: startup problem

    Hello.

When I start my computer win 7, it starts (fan starts, dvd disk drive turns on, lights on the Tower of keys on and even usb ports give power IE can charge my phone by usb cable), but nothing appears on the screen (empty, nothing, does not react)

However, after you restart the computer several times active and computer screen display works fine without problems.

This problem occurs only when I turn on the computer after having completely off but does not happen when I restart using the option restart.

I'd be suspicious of an imminent hard drive failure.  Download and run the program tester for the manufacturer of your hard disk drive.  Give me the model number of your player (Device Manager), and I'll give you the link to download. At least, you have to exclude this possibility before you spend a lot of time trying to re - build.

You can try those Microsoft committed the 'experts' ideas Support Engineer (1, 2, 3) for safe, clean boot Mode, Online Scanner, but I think that most of the people who know how XP would recognize that there is no component 'V protect' in Windows XP and a simple search Google reveals that your problem is with your AVG software and has nothing to do with Windows XP.

You should look in their forums (like me) and here's what they suggest:

Vprotect belongs to AVG Security Toolbar.
Please try to run repair installation using the latest installation package.

If the problem persists, please follow all the steps in the instructions to complete reinstallation .

I think that if I were you, I would follow the instructions on the page AVG to uninstall and reinstall your AVG because there may be other parts of AVG who are afflicted that you have not yet discovered, but in AVG, some people with V forums protect problems find that AVG repair install works.

  • The CPU usage goes up to 50-60% right when I start the computer.

    Original title: high CPU usage

I have a pc with windows 7 64-bit, 4 GB ram, AMD Phenom II x 2 511 processor and a Nvidia Geforce Gtx 260. The CPU usage goes up to 50-60% right when I start the computer. I ran the Task Manager and there is no program using the cpu. It has nothing to do with anny viruses because I scanned the computer with two different programs. We do not have Steam and the EA download manager. What could be the problem?

"Idle" means "doing nothing."  Windows runs the "System Idle" process when the processor has no useful to perform tasks.

Look at the status bar at the bottom of the Task Manager and you will see that the CPU usage does NOT include the percentage for the System Idle process.

What are the processes other than Idle System added up to 50-60%?

I suggest that you run an online scan using antivirus ESET online--> http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

and then download, install, update and run the free MalwareBytes AntiMalware--> https://www.malwarebytes.org/ version

I expect that the MalwareBytes Installer is clean enough, but you should pay attention when installing any software to make sure that you accept all of the pre-selected options to install other bundled applications.

  • The desktop icons and taskbar are at least three minutes to load when I start the computer.

Original title: problem with the desktop icons

All of a sudden when I start my computer, the icons on the desktop and icons at the bottom of the clock of the take at least three minutes to load, and before that time, they used to load in a few seconds.  Also, I have no problem with the computer start.  Any help to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

According to the specifications of your system, hard drives on your system are disks IDE (not the SATA drives).

Sometimes the Interface IDE mode can change from DMA mode to PIO mode and when that happens, things sudden. run very slowly, but it is easy to check and adjust if you need to.

    Here's how:

If you are using IDE drives, use Device Manager to check the channel Transfer Mode IDE is set to something like DMA if available (depends on your hardware) and the slow PIO mode.

Don't forget: PIO is the slowest, DMA is faster.

It is easy to check and usually easy to fix and the mode would not have changed in itself, so if she changed to PIO, change it to DMA, and then understand why it changed and fix it.

To launch the Device Manager console, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\devmgmt.msc

    Click OK.

Expand the section controller IDE / ATA to see your IDE channels. Each right click and choose Properties for each channel that has a tab advanced settings, determine the Transfer Mode. There are usually 4 channels to check in a desktop computer, maybe less for laptops.

Faster selection will always be a kind of selection DMA (usually: DMA DMA5, UDMA, etc.).  If it is PIO, change it to DMA.

If you are unsure of what you see after return of help and advice.

If you make settings, restart and check the settings again to make sure that any change stick.

What may have caused the change?
