My old PC of eight year THAT XP came with the message that says that my copy of Windows must be activated.

My system is 8 years old XP. I installed all the updates that are offered by Microsoft. No new material has been added since more than a year. I now get a message telling me that my copy of Windows must be activated. This happens in normal Mode and safe mode with networking. Is this a ransom trojan or MS did wobbly in the updates as Genuine MS debacle (DIS) advantages of the other? The Messages I have 3 days where activation!

Your tips for solving this would be appreciated.

Dear Noel

Thanks a lot for your information and advice.

Ironically, I did not clean ups for fear of screwing it up.  However, I just bought a helmet camera and plugged into the USB to test its audio and video capabilities.  Perhaps that may be the problem.  Next time I'll just use the SD card reader.

I right click on the Hydroforme icon which has been remember to activate.  Who took me through various routines that finally pointed out that the version of Windows I have is no longer for sale.  He then offered to sell me a current equivalent of Windows 7.  Unwilling to part with the money right away, I did a reboot and followed by the option activate who came.  It's very simple and work very well without fees.

So, I'm now a "happy bunny".  Thanks a lot for your quick help.  Very much appreciated.

Concerning

Pete

you use a key OEM SLP to win 7, which requires a bios compatible win 7 for activation of the auto. 20/06/2008 bios date is well before win 7 is out.

you will need to buy a genuine windows or return to windows, your computer comes with that.

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

  • Just said that my windows 7 in not much authentic after using it for two years. It came with the laptop then why I said this is not true.

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.

Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message. (please do not change the report.)

Please indicate the version and edition of windows from your COA. do not specify the product key from the COA.

  • After 4 years of use my computer without any problems at all, I get a message saying that my copy of Windows Vista is NOT activated.

    Original title: Vista Activation issue

After 4 years of use my computer without any problems at all, I get a message saying that my copy of Windows Vista is NOT activated.

Of course, he was and has been deleted now tile view! I made no changes to anything on the computer, so I did a little research

and found that it could be a virus trying to get 'paid' for a new activation code. I did a complete reinstall of Vista to remove

such viruses or errors and it still say my copy of Vista is not activated. When I try to follow the steps to activate Vista,

I got nowhere! Everything I've read say s do the activation of the phone, but my computer doesn't give me the option of phone!

It gives me only 3 options - "Buy a new online product key", "Enter a different product key", "Contact Hewllet Packard to help solve this problem."

I called HP and of course my warranty has expired and they even want to talk to me about $100! I'm going crazy trying to figure this out! Help someone?

Thanks for the reply, but I tried ALL the links you've posted over and over again until I've already posted my question here! The links you suggested sent me round in circles! They say all "choose the Activate by phone option" but I was not getting the phone option on my computer for some reason any.

I have corrected the problem and HERE IS HOW - 1-800-Microsoft

It was as simple as that! Now, if only they post this number somewhere here on the site it might save people hours or days of research! After calling the number, work your way through the automated system until you get a man! The guys at Microsoft that answered the phone was great and had activated me and up and running in minutes!

    Help, please!

Your relocation was made of a set of recovery discs Dell - which uses a key to Dell and cannot be enabled on any other brand.

It's a Dixons computer odf, then I suspec that the COA sticker on the case is for XP Home edition, while the installation is Pro.

You need to return to this system to its licensed version of Windows by using the recovery media for that PC - or a good disc XP Home OEM System Builder.

  • I've got a massege that my copy of windows is not genuine but mine is orginal

I've got a massege that my copy of windows is not genuine but mine is orginal. I had 4 years, the CD that came with my dell pc

    check your activation status:

Start > right click on computer > properties

You can check under the Windows Activation, it's at the bottom of the screen.

If you believe that you are using a genuine Windows Vista OEM, click activate now. then, enter the product key that is located on the certificate of authenticity.

  • computer turned on today and he said that my copy of windows is not genuine-why?

When I went today only my computer says that "your copy of windows vista is not genuine" then why say build 6002. Do not understand that I bought the computer with vista installed. It was beautiful last night and I for about 4 years.

Currently, your copy of windows vista is not activated. If you have the product key with you, you can activate your copy of windows.

You can find your product key on your computer or inside the Windows package installer disk-based.

Type SLUI in the search box and press ENTER key

Follow the directions on screen to activate windows

You can activate online or by phone. You need an Internet connection to activate online. Activation by phone requires interacting with an automated phone system.

  • Microsoft keeps tellingmy that my copy of Windows is not genuine!

    Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit

This is the same operation SystemI have had on this computer for the past 6 years, since I bought it all first!  Nothing has changed!  I had no repairs!  There was a Windows Update yesterday and I thought that this could be the problem I did a system restore point before.  That did not help.

I remember at one point, it says that an update today could not get through and that my copy of windows is not genuine.

I'm getting pretty annoyed with Microsoft.  They tried to push Windows 10 discount on me for months now and I refuse continuously.  They tried some devious stuff as if we were trying to tell me again and again that my hard drive is about to fail.  I had the drive hard Sentinel and it shows me that my hard drive is 100% excellent health and performance right now, where a week ago, it is 0% and is about to fail.  He did it again and again for a year now, ready to fail a week, then the other it is still 100% perfect once, this has happened since MS came out with Win 10 and wanted everyone to download it for FREE!

My system information file says I have Win 7 Home premium and it came from Microsoft, so I don't know what to tell them, but they tell ME that I can't get more updates until I install a new Windows OS.

    This is total BS!

How do I stop this and recognize it as the same operating system that it has always been for the last 6 years?

Complain do not solve your problem. This type of problem arises for various reasons including:

    1. Malware infestation.

    2. Changing or adding a device installed.

    3. Corruption of the system.

The easiest way to go is to re - enter the product key, following the instructions of my p [message back.

    Find the COA sticker?

  • I started Windows 7 Windows 10 and told me that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine.

    * Original title: Windows 10-7

I ran Windows 7 for 2 years without any problem. I have upgraded to Windows 10 but he could not recognize my CD/DVD burner, so I started Windows 7. Now, after about 6 weeks, I am told that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks to everyone who responded with helpful advice. I finally solved myself by going back to the shop that originally installed Win7 on my computer. They have removed the "non-genuine" copy that I had run without problem for 2 years and installed a copy of 'authentic '.

    Thanks again.

  • my old motherboard was brockin so I replaced it with a new one and now I carnt activate windows pleae help

my old motherboard was brockin so I replaced it with a new one and now I carnt activate windows pleae help

Something that all OEM computer owners need to understand...

Citing the example of a desktop HP ENVY h8-1419 PC...

It is the motherboard that determines the make and model of a PC OEM, NOT the case.

OEM motherboards contain BIOS custom, in this case HP. Installing OEM key code and recovery disks or partitions will work as long as the Windows installation find a BIOS from HP and the type of motherboard, Windows will validate and remain active.

When replacing the motherboard, for some reason, with a motherboard that does NOT have a custom BIOS HP, the computer is no longer a desktop HP ENVY h8-1419 PC.

If the 'new' motherboard first saw life in a DELL computer, it then becomes a DELL. It is not possible to use custom installation of another brand of OEM OEM.

If she started life in a box of motherboard manufacturer on the set of a major computer parts retailer, is no longer a desktop HP ENVY h8-1419 PC. It's everything that appears as the make and model in the box...

In the first case, you will need the COA, the key code sticker and the DELL machine DELL of origin if original installation media you want together upwards, the drivers and all.

Or, as in the second case, you will need either a retail key code or a code key of system manufacturer which must be purchased.

    Hello

If you are lucky man you will be able to use the tool to clean Windows system restore.
This tool allow you to roll back the State of the OS to the point of beginning.
I think you can use it and try to roll back the OS to the point where you have removed these applications.
