• Photosmart HP 6510 does not copy in black

  last week, I bought a photosmart 6510. install via the cd under windows 7 64-bit, after installation I downloaded an installed all updates. This morning I tried to copy some documents, but nothing on the page to black. managed diagnosed programms, doctor of hp, cleaned cartridges to level 2. just nothing works. When I touch the button to copy in color, it copies the colors, but the black part is unreadable. so, does anyone have a solution? Thank you

  If the steps in the document are unable to resolve the problem, then I suggest call HP for Technical Support on this printer. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out.   Thanks for the reply.  I would like to reset the printing system, run software update and reinstall the printer with a USB cable.  If we are able to solve the problem effectively, we can then convert the wireless connection to test this type of communication. Follow the steps below and let me know the results.

  A. reset the operating system printing system:

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
  2. Choose Print & Fax on the menu display .
  3. Hold down the Option key while clicking on the "-" (deletion of printer). If no printer currently not added, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on the button that appears above the button of "+" (add printer), and then choose reset printing... from the context menu.

  B. perform the software update:

  1. In the Apple menu, choose software update.

     
     Menu Apple in Mac OS X 10.6.6

  2. Software update checks the available updates. In the software update window, select the items you want to install, then click on install. Usually, you should install all available updates.
  3. Enter an administrator account name and password.
  4. Once the installation is complete, restart the computer if necessary.

  C. Reinstall printer with USB cable

  1. turn the printer and the computer

  2. connect the USB cable for printer

  3. USB connection to computer

  Note: this should automatically add the printer, if it does not manually add the TI-see below *.

  4. open system preferences, and then click Print & Fax

  5. click on the sign under component printer +.

  6. click on the name of the printer

  7. click on add

  8. test the functionality

  I can't find a way of scanning and printing of photo 4 x 6. He uses paper 8 x 10. I am using Windows 7 and it works in all other aspects of the program. What Miss me?

• How can I print on legal paper with a Photosmart HP 6510?

  I have the opportunity to print on legal size paper.  The status bar for my Photosmart HP 6510 does not develop to take into account the length of the paper (at least not that I can find).

  I found I can load a page in the tray, close the tray and it will print.  But it might mean loading of a page of a long document at a time.

  Is it possible to extend the trial of paper?

  I could not find a bin for paper for legal communication on the accessories page: have I missed?

  Is there another solution for loading several pages at a time?

  Alternatively, I'm stuck with a single page at a time?

  There is an element if you swipe up will drop the lip on the inside of the lips of the paper, on the left side tray, front of the tray and you can load the legal document.  Hope that helps.

  I have a HP all in one Photosmart B211a 6510, which worked like a dream, since I had last winter. We had an unexpected outage yesterday however and once the power came back, the printer insists on the fact that there is no ink in the system.   I have two of your ink cartridges replaced last week with genuine HP ones and everything was fine. My ink level is almost low on the other two, but I have not replaced these yet because it is not necessary.

  I replaced the cartridge magenta yesterday and my printer works successfully again! Woohoo!

  My father, an electrician, so between us we have come to the conclusion that when the power came back after the crash there was an electric pick or insufficient tension than normal and this has damaged the chip of the nearest power - the magenta cartridge ink.

  All is well again in any case.

  My photosmart 6510 does not print in black. I presume that it was the cartridge but I replaced the cartridge and it still does not print. I cleaned the print heads and the cartridge ink levels are full.

• Photosmart HP 6510 will only print black light gray text

  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem.  Been thro all the habit change the cartridges, clean the heads (several times), align the cartridges.

  Problem started after the low ink warning and then change cartridges.

  Need to BEST print mode to get the light gray black text only printer and printing grayscale value must be set to OFF, otherwise no visible impression is reached.

  Colurs look OK on the Test print but once again no sharp black, light not gray see the upward.

  Help please!

  I have a HP photosmart premium c309g-m all-in-one that I'm trying to use wireless with my HP laptop running windows 7.  I can print fine wireless but I can't scan to my computer, I tried to use the controls on the printer as well as windows fax and scan.  It will allow me to scan from the printer to a memory card (although when I try to load the jpeg scanned on my memory card on my computer, it shows) also infected but I can't scan to my computer.

  Technical support said there Firewall Norton 360 but when I contacted Norton they disabled the firewall and it still does not, and now tech support said I'm a month out of warranty and will not help me unless I pay and I am reluctant to pay to get the same answers I receive for 9 months now so I thought that maybe someone here could save me money and help me.  I'm also tired of the pass the blame game of: oh, it's for lack of qwest, now it's the fault of windows 7, then it's lack of norton, I even had a tech tell me it was my fault that this printer can not scan wireless but it worked before on my old network.

  When I ran the diagnostic scan it says no scanner installed so we re-installed the software, the updated drivers, but it still says the scan driver is corrupted or missing and it cannot update the driver.  When I run the diagnostic utility that he says no printer not found on the network, but still the printer says no problems found and the network is configured correctly and I still have no problem of wireless network printing I just can't scan.  Please help me!

  If anyone has this problem I finally solved it, (no thanks to HP technical support) here's how:

  I disabled my firewall, I reinstalled the software from the Web site (once again) then I found this download for a software fix http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-77751-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4063&product=3793676&sw_lang= (even if I've never had Vista on this computer only windows 7 so I have not upgraded) after that I went on the start menu to HP , HP photosmart premium c309g and finished install the software then restarted and it worked.  Since then the only time where I had a problem was when my computer is closing because of low battery and when I'm back from fashion 'sleep' my printer has been disconnected and the scanner n "t work so I rebooted and the printer and the scanner worked perfectly!
