My power button is normal?

I just upgraded to the Razr Maxx from old droid device and power button on my old unit was pretty solid. However, the power button on my Maxx has a few odd wiggle abilities. (It oscillates up and down). I'm just afraid that he could jump off when I go to the for out of my pocket or something. Is this normal for each Razr out there?

The wiggles on two of my maxx power button. But I keep my defenders to otterbox, so I know that I do not lose my buttons lol.

I keep my office earlier this morning with the entry of the normal shutdown process. When I went to reactivate tonight all I get is a set of 5 beep with a yellow light flashing above the power switch. Repeat this five times then beeps stop and only yellow continuous flashing. I can hear and feel the hard drive running. I tried to unplug the power supply and then plugging, but the same thing happens. If I push and hold the power button on, it sounds like the hard drive stops and restarts. The normal blue light comes on for a few seconds then turns off and is replaced by the yellow flashing light. All you have no idea as to what may be the issue?

    Hello:

Normally 5 beeps means there is a problem with the memory.

I suggest that you remove and reinstall the memory modules and blow up if this doesn't fix the problem, if your PC has two memory modules, an and see if the beep disappears.

If this is the case, remove this module and specify the first condition in you removed and if the beep begins once again find the defective memory chip.

If it is not, remove the module and put the other in you deleted and if the ringing stops, you have found the faulty memory chip.

Then replace the faulty memory module by one with the same specifications.

If the ringing continues despite trying these steps, and then either the two chips of memory are bad (unlikely), or the motherboard has a problem.

  • Power button on Satellite A300 turn computer automatically.

    Hello.

I recently removed the carcass on my Toshiba Satellite A300 and when I put back it together I have a problem with the power being real button delicate in some cases, turn off the PC itself.

When I start the PC or put in mode "sleep" by pressing the power button sometimes all I have to do is touch the button and the PC turns or sleeping and strangely sometimes the button work normally by pressing it down until it snaps.

I couldn't find the problem, I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be and how could I solve this problem?

    > I recently removed the carcass on my Toshiba Satellite A300 and when I put back it together I have a problem with the power being real button delicate in some cases, turn off the PC itself.

It seems you damaged or done something wrong during the disassembly procedure may be a connection problem?
I guess the power button has worked correctly until you have removed the case and disassembled the laptop. Right?

  • Problem intermittent boot Tecra S2 after pressing the power button

    Hi all
I have a Tecra S2 with the 6600go GFX card.
The machine is large but presents the following problem.

After that the machine was interrupted for a while it will start not reliable.
You press the power button. Either as soon as you release the power button or a second later (changes every time) the green power light comes on. The fan spins at high speed then slows down to a crawl a few seconds later (as usual) but LCD does not illuminate.
Also when it does not start USB devices are not initialized (I have a product key dongle which will flash if it is not initialized - when you start the laptop properly this dongle on continuous - a normal start, it is initialized before the ramtest BIOS)

I've updated the bios a couple of times - it is now 2.4 (I noticed the power button timings were changed in the V1.9) but this has not solved the problem.

I tried to start on the current with battery removed, ca battery & battery only - the result is the same.

I can start later button power until the laptop off, wait a few seconds and then try to get back to work.
After several of these cycles, it will begin eventually to the top. Recently, it seems that it took several attempts before start-up.

If I have used the laptop for an hour or two and then turn it off it will start almost always a first time.

If I put the laptop to sleep (orange slow flashing power LED) then half the time that it will continue when you press the power button - the other half of the power LED will switch to the green but the LCD display remains inactive & I switch the power button.

Any help or advice would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,
    Robin

    Hello

    This seems very odd.
First of all: you can boot from USB only if the floppy drive is attached.
You can boot from these devices USB-drive floppy/disk HARD/ODD/LAN.

In my opinion the other unit starts the sound not as issues not a software problem.
I think there could be something wrong with the hardware. But it is not easy to say what it could be exactly.
You know, the look on the material is necessary.
I recommend you contact Toshiba service partner in your country.
They have much more experience in such cases. Guys can run tests and then can give you correct information about the failure.

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).
The same thing happen on my Satellite A300.

  • Satellite Pro A200 freeze, including the power button

Had a complete system freeze last night - first tabs of Firefox, then, when I tried to call the Manager of tasks, CTRL + ALT + DELETE does not either. I pressed the off button several times, but couldn't turn off the laptop.

After disconnecting the power cable, the power led is stayed blue and he was always running on battery, even if the battery led was off. I left the laptop (what can I do) until the battery has been emptied and it closes.

This morning, it came normally, followed by this error message:

"the exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred at the location 0x7c812a5b.

Followed by a screen of windows update updates have been made and the computer will restart soon (just in case where which can be connected - the night before, the symbol of "updates available" was in the shortcut bar too, and when it froze, I ran my virus check Spyware Doctor daily in the background).

I rebooted the computer without other error messages and it has been fine until now, but I have no idea what caused it, and if it happens again. Any advice?

    > I left the laptop (what can I do) until the battery has been emptied and it closes.
    What else could do you?
First of all, you could hold the power button for about 4 seconds and it would help tp close Notepad. Then you could reboot the laptop to check if the system is running correctly. However, it seems that it s running again.

    > I rebooted the computer without other error messages and it has been fine until now, but I have no idea what caused it, and if it happens again. Any advice?
Believe me, it's really not easy to say what caused this problem system and I guess nobody here will be able to answer EXCATLY.
In my view, there was a software problem that was solved by new reboot and a new update to Vista
Strange things still occur and are not rare for me.

  • Pro 3 yoga and Hibernation power button

    Hello

I have a problem with turn on the laptop after that it goes the way standby mode Hibernate (no doubt).

Since the beginning, I installed Win clean 10 with the latest drivers of Yoga.

Now when I put the Yoga sleep (power button flashes) and after an hour or so later Yoga switch to hibernation (power button stops flashing) I cannot wake it up by pressing the power button. Instead, it shows the Lenovo logo and turns off by itself. After that it works in a normal way - by pressing the power button / stop lights but don't relax after previous hibernation.

Can someone help me with this problem? It is quite annoyng. This means that I always have to save all my work before Yoga put to sleep.

    Thanks for any help.

Finally, I managed to solve the problem with the power button. I had disabled setting Fast Boot under windows, and everything works as it should.

  • my ipod 5 does not light, I am of the view the home and power button down for 10 to 30 seconds, but my home button is stuck or at least does not, what should I do?

so I have my button home broken for some time, not only does not respond as broken in the iPod so I couldn't press it or anything. It is only today that my iPod will not turn back. I normally would just hold the home button and the power button for some and things would turn out right away but now I can't use my home button so I'm stuck without options. I left that he plugged for a while but still nothing. I tried to clean the home button. So what should I? get a new home button or just get an upgrade anyway.

You could bring to the Apple store and let them to evaluate it. If an upgrade is financially feasible, I would recommend that you're not just fixing the home button will help. Also note that if you do any repairs on the iPod it will void your warranty (if you have one.)

  • Two Macbook Pro, both does not start up, when I press the power button, I hear two disc bit Caryl, I see little light on the front on the displasy release button, black screen, no edge

It was weird because I've NEVER had two computers have the same problem before. They are the model 2008 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 6 g of RAM, models of 128 GB of hard drive, the two Yosemite running, both had new hard drives, cables, batteries and RAM installed OWC (Apple approved reseller) and I use Macs for at least 20 years. In about a week, one just blacked out while sitting on my desk doing nothing, the other does the same on a week later. When I press the power button, I hear the drive hard hum twice, then all I get is the little light on the screen release button, that's all. Black screen. fails, nothing. I can press the power button and it will fit off the coast. Is it possible that some of them have infected somehow, or possibly send me the malware that has infected my system? I would not normally only, but for all of them to go down to one right after the other with the same problem just made me think, it must be the same cause, but what?  I had been in a war of fire recently with very ugly people, and I've never seen two Macs have the same exact problem in a row like that right.

I took readers on the Macbook Pro, put them on sleds and threw them in my PowerMac, and both seemed fine, no problem, started well upward, ran utility disk on them, no problem, so I started to the checklist. Reset the PRAM. Nothing. SHIFT key at startup. Nothing. D at the start. Nothing. V order at startup. nothing. I wouldn't mind even their evisceration and making a portable useful with the parts of the two, but until I find out what the problem is, what can I do?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it, I've supported every button I can think at the start, tried an inch USB key, boot and disk, this is the same Caryl bit both of the car, no chime, black screen, that's all.

    Thanks for your help.

no chime, black screen, that's all.

I don't think they are infected.

The startup chime indicates that the Mac has made the initial diagnostic tests and there is no hardware problems or fundamental software.

No edge in your case is a problem.  I think it's the luck of the draw to have 2 failures.

  • Can you have SMU 1062 q turn on without using the power button

I use a q SMU-1062 for a test project that will take place inside a protective case.  The power button on the chassis will be covered by a plate on the protective case that make it boring and difficult to switch on using the power button on the chassis.  The chassis will be plugged into a power strip of travel - lite which is mounted in the case.  Is it possible that I can have the power to frame on when I turn on the power strip?

I found another route.  In the controller BIOS, I changed the parameters of loss of AC power to TURN on after that AC is returned.  This allows me to use the power strip in my configuration to control the electric network distributed to the controller.  The following steps will describe how I got this.

    1. Power of the SMU-8115 controller.

    2. A message will appear on your screen, press to enter SETUP

    3. Select 'Remove' (quickly, because you don't have a lot of time before the window disappears and the controller continues to load normally.)

    4. This will open the main Menu of the BIOS

    5. Select the Advanced tab (use the arrow keys to highlight the selections and the different tabs, select a setting change with 'enter'

    6. Select > Configuration power and rest

    7. Change the configuration to power on when power is restored.

The controller can be normally close by using the start menu, and "shut down".

Start button / stop of the chassis is still capable of turning the power on to the controller, but now when I shut off the AC power strip and then return power, get the controller chassis.

  • M7470n power button flashing

This PC has worked flawlessly for some time without problem.  I have installed a licensed version of Windows 7 from MS Technet and everything seemed to be good.  Actively during the use of the PC, it went completely dark.  The power button started alternating blue and yellow flashing. The LED on the back of the PSU is lit.

I found that if I unplugged the power cord & then pressed & held the power button for 5-10 seconds, it would stop flashing.  When I reconnect the power cord, it starts again normally, but the PC turns off again everything using it as before.  The CPU & case as expected fans function when the PC is running.

Is finally - the power LED flashes (not the one on the power supply to the back of the PC) as described above an indication of sleep / standby or something else?  I remember that when the PC is on and used, this would indicate blue - and when, in a form of Eve, there amber glow.  I can't find a definitive answer about the State of amber blue alternating.

I had the same problem. When you press the power button, the blue power led for half a second and started to blink orange/blue. The only way to reset this behavior was to remove the power cord for one minute. The problem started intermittently and as time passed, it was worse. Until today where I have never been able to start. I finally found the problem. It was a power supply problem. I opened the power supply to find 5 capacitors were bulging. I'd say it's probably normal because this PC was purshased in verse 2005 (8 years). I replaced 5 capacitors (total $ 5) and it works like new. Hope this helps other people with the same problem.

  • Compaq 6710 b: my HP Compaq power on only when I plug in power. Don't turn on with the power button / stop!

I have a laptop HP Compaq 6710 b... Its more than 6 years...

The problem is really annoying... The laptop powers on only when I force taken into the spindle of the charger and the laptop works very well after that...
But the laptop never turns on when I try to power by pressing the power button!
I did not understand the reason why...

Any thoughts on this problem?  Help!

There are no settings in the BIOS that affect the use of the power button.

The power button works at the level of the material (firmware).

By pressing the button translates the action of the Commission of the conditions of the logic system.  There must be voltage at specific points in the power circuit. If the voltages are not present, then the power button does not work. This can be caused by a failure resistance, mlcc capacitor or a bad solder joint, if the power button has been tested and shown to work normally. Fluff even could cause this to happen. This can help out-performed by Visual inspection and using a multimeter.

  • flashing screen, power button fails (error of hard disk startup, seen many posts have this)

I thought it would be the best forum page to post, but in any case I had trouble with these two things. The first is this random/flicker flashing, screen tapping the top of the screen could delay, but this is very random and makes sometimes standby extended or even restart more rare. I don't think overheatiing is because it looks cool enough. Very random though sometimes it happens not every day or a few days.

The power button is very recent, it turns that if I do something such as unplug it or open/close the screen as I've seen, really don't know where these two could come, but this laptop is second-hand on ebay with a new OS installed.

The HARD drive error is common so I saw, so I can deal with it. The usual startup error, a reboot solves this problem and it starts to load normally, have not seen all the patches, in addition to a clean wipe I don't want nessiserally to do.

A few things you might want to know:

OS: Windows 7 Edition home premium

    Quad core i5

graphics card intel integrated (use an ATI mobility Radeon HD 5650)

Just ask if something else should be, thank you.

I suggest to retrieve what you saved on your laptop and replace the HARD drive, you now have. It seems that the HARD drive, you may be out of any day. Make sure the replacement HARD drive is not too big.

  • When my computer goes into sleep mode, I have to press the power button to turn it back on.

    original title: sleep/hibernation

When my computer goes into sleep mode, I have to press the power button to turn it back on.  I used only having to press a key on the keyboard.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, as if it was before?

Well, on the theory that your computer is awkward, try to change the settings to another thing and OK your way out the control panel.  Then go back and put them in the way they were and OK your way out.  Occasionally, it will reset the internal parameters and things can return to normal.

  • bad power button

Hello, I just got the Z3c and the power button is a little loose, is - this normal or if it portends problems?

    see you soon

    Hi George237,

Welcome to the community! Since you are new, please make sure that you have checked our Forum.

The button is not completely yet, so he moves a little, but this is quite normal. If you think, however, that he is a coward, you can return the unit to the place of purchase.

    I hope this helps.
