  HP Laserjet P1102w worked very well connected my device to the airport.  I uninstalled the printer software by mistake.  Downloaded the latest driver to reinstall.  "Resettlement"successfully"complete but the printer is not found on the ' printer & Fax" system preferences or if I invite with "Add printer".  The HP Firmware Upgrade utility also cannot find my printer via the network connection, gives me the error "device is inaccessible."  The network address entered is not valid or your device is not supported or is not available. If please correct the problem and try again. "There is no problem with my network or surf the internet.

  Looks like it's working now. I had made many stops and restarts my iMac yesterday but the printer 4620 figura in Preferences system or hp utility. • Wireless printer is not found on the XP PC. Why?

  • HP printer stopped working on XP PC over a wireless network.
  • I can still print to the printer from two differnet Vista PC on the wireless network.
  • So, I checked the printer properties in Control Panel.  Somehow or other the IP address was bad:-S.
  • I was not given access to "configure port" tab in properties of printer ports, even as an admin user.
  • Added a new port.  Still no joy!
  • Remove the printer from the control panel.
  • Tried to add the printer back in the Panel.
  • The Add Printer Wizard indicates the name of the printer has been correctly entered (was included in the list of courses as

    printer has lost its connection to the server.
  • Judge again.  Now the printer no longer appears in the list of course! :-(

  I do not know why you can not configure the port.  What happened when you tried?

  In all cases, the following procedure should work.

  Before you begin, check if the printer driver is still installed.  It is probably.  In the windows printers and faxes, click file > server properties > drivers tab for a list of all the currently installed printer drivers.

  Preferably, the printer must be a static IP address assigned.  The reason for this is that if the printer is turned off for long periods, it is possible that when it is turned on again that your router assigns a different IP address.  'HP Standard TCP/IP Port' has an option on the configuration page to 'Always print to this device, even if its IP address changes', but this box is unchecked by default, (b) box is not available in the standard Windows TCP/IP protocol port, and (c) I do not know what is reliability, is the Port.

  You can set the IP address of the printer using the control panel of the printer or through its built-in web server.  However, if you use the printer embedded web server, you lose the connection to the printer as soon as you 'applies' change.  You should take a static IP outside the range of addresses assigned by your router.

  You assigned a static IP address or use the default to let the router assign one IP address automatically, determine the IP address of the printer by printing a Network Setup page.

  • In printers and faxes, click Add a printer.
  • In the Add Printer Wizard, select "Local printer attached to this computer" but do NOT check the box "automatically detect and install my plug and play printer."
  • Select "Create a new port."  If 'HP Standard TCP/IP Port' is in the drop-down list, use it; Otherwise, use "Standard TCP/IP Port."
  • In the "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" wizard type the IP address of the printer in the top box, and type a descriptive name in the lower area (for example, HP7200).  If you add a TCP/IP Standard HP port, check the box to keep connectivity, especially if you do not use a static IP address.
  • Complete the wizard.

  If this does not work, thanks for posting back with as much detail as possible explaining where things have gone wrong.  Don't paraphrase error messages.

When I click on the windows icon the message says: cannot find the printer that takes care of my printer. I went all programs and the printer tab says empty. I checked the programs and features in the control panel and the program shows to be there. The fix for microsoft as well, he stopped. It indicates that the hotfix from microsoft Customer Center application has stopped working. I think that it is a windows problem, but I'm not sure.   Try to remove the printer and then add it again by opening the Preferences tab and then selecting «printers & scanners»

  From there, click on the sign less under the printer icon to remove the printer and then add again using the sign.

  This is often useful if you are currently outside experienceing printer issues regularly.

  If you still can't find the printer, I would try the steps with connected usb and if a connection is established, delete it.

  If the problem persists, restart your mac and try again, and if this does not help, then restart your router also.

  To find ePrint printer address from the main screen of the printer click web services icon in the upper left corner of the display screen.

  I used to have a photosmart HP and it worked fine, but after a period of non-use, it is not found by my computer. There are 4 icons in the upper part, the wireless is the second from the left. In the Menu arrow until settings wireless advanced. I would like to disable IPV6, arrow down to IPV6, and then select OFF.

  I saw the IPV6 interferes with the Hello Protocol several times, often time turning off this feature will solve the problem and allow the Mac to see the printer on the network. Once IPV6 is disabled try to add the printer again.
