  Your friends drive is most likely a "Retail" XP version which has its own product key. In most cases, you can reinstall XP using 'Reticular' media and then activate with your OEM. Is that what you did?

  I managed as well to recover my product key OEM Windows 8.1 :)

  Now, I've left two questions:

  (1) why the F8 key does not work as it should!

  (2) where the recovery partition? I mean I say I format the C: / drive, I'll still be able to save the factory OS or this partition is located in another hidden partition?

  I have a Satellite A105-S4094 running Vista Ultimate. I looked everywhere, but nobody has solved my problem.

  When I try to use the FN functions, it does nothing. Correction - It does nothing different than when I do not press the FN key. If I press FN + F7 or just of F7, does not toggle the keyboard navigation rather than increase the brightness.

  It might also be useful to know that none of the multimedia hot keys on its left and the touchpad scrolling is not working.

  AFAIK all series of laptops with the 5 at the end of the model number are designed for the American market.

  You will be able to all the things that you said except the approval workflow. Approval is something that comes by default with vCAC but its not available with standard edition. You will be able to add infrastructure, create a reserve on it, creating plans and machines.

  vCAC has a self-service portal that comes along with other features, so you can reach the last point.

  I have currently problems try to activate the connection Wireless on my laptop. My laptop model is a satellite A500 PSAR9A O2J001. My laptop's physical wireless switch does not work and neither my Fn keys don't work (none of my function keys work not at all).   Your description is OK but rather general isn't easy to say with certainty what the problem is here.
  Is the card properly installed wireless (Device Manager)?
  FN keys work in general? You can use other keys FN + Fx? You see flash cards when you press the FN key? If so what options you see when you use FN + F8 (WLAN I think)?

  When you move position WLAN communication works and use the FN + F8 to what exactly happens?

  Games that does not work in the console include Far Cry and Far Cry 2 (steam), Fallout New Vegas. • License key does not accept the installation of Acrobat 9

  We recently moved and in the process acquired new computers.  I'm trying to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro and several other tools using the AcroPro90_efg Installer (which is the only one who seems to be available on Internet).  All of our tools Adobe have the form 1234-1234-1234-1234-1234-1234 license keys.

  When I try to install Acrobat 9 Pro, it prompts to enter the license key with a single text box (unlike other tools such as CS4, which provide 6 smaller text boxes, which each accept 4 digits).  I tried to enter the key of license with and without hyphens, but Acrobat does not accept it, responded that it is an invalid key.

  Note that I did this on machines that CS4 was installed and also on machines where nothing had yet been installed and I get the same error every time: "incorrect serial number.  This isn't a valid serial number. Please go back and re-enter your serial number. »

  Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.

  After the upgrade of Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows did you download the installation drivers Toshiba and such software mentioned in the installation instructions located on the Toshiba UE driver page?

  Its very important to install and update the Toshiba Utilities to get a good Win 8.1 working system.

  You upgraded to Windows 8, but did not have an earlier version of Windows Installer (error 0xC004F061)

  If you see error 0xC004F061 when you try to activate Windows 8, this means that you are using a product key for an upgrade of Windows 8 version and a previous version of Windows wasn't on your PC when Windows 8 was installed. To install a Windows 8 upgrade version, you must already have Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed on your PC.

  If you have formatted the drive until the upgrade of Windows 8 version has been installed, you will not be able to use your upgrade product key to activate Windows 8. To activate Windows 8, you will need to install your previous version of Windows, and then reinstall Windows 8. Help with the activation process, contact technical support.
