  I think I've cracked it. This cannot br yhe complete answer because I followed the advice given on the forum. I also deleted an app that was annoying me (London tube map) and the phone will reset. Then I noticed that I could send a picture again, but not all. I checked the properties of some of my photos and some were geotagged and some were not. I can send a picture if it's not geotagged. I can't send a geotagged photo. I disabled the GPS (which sometimes delays the camera anyway). I can live with no GPS, but it is essential for me to be able to send pictures.
