I felt it necessary to do a restore on my computer but it is fruitless because my recycle bin is corrupted. How can I fix with doing a reinstall of windows vista
'Restore' as in 'System restore' built into Windows to restore the settings from the registry/return days or the "Restore" method as in OEM (manufacturer) for restoring the computer to the factory settings?
I'll assume former...
If there is ANYTHING you need retsored the trash - can be emptied permanently... You can try this:
1. open an elevated command prompt window. To open a command prompt, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator.
2. type the following command and press ENTER:
RD /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin(This clears the record $Recycle.bin to the C:\ drive.) You may need to do this for each partition in your system).
3. type exit to close the command prompt window.

A message keeps popping up saying my recycle bin is corrupted and I need to remove it. When I try to do, it won't let me.
It won't let you unless you are an administrator. try to go to your my C:\WINDOWS\system32\ computer folder, then right click on cmd.exe and run as administrator
If successful you should see administrator: command prompt
then enter the following lines in the order
CD.
RD /s /q $recycle.binNote that you can type in the first part of $recycle.bin and press the tab key to complete the line reduces the risk of typing error in the folder, the command does not work unless you get the right folder name
for exampleCD.
RD /s /q / $recy [press the TAB key. -

Hi 544Help. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click on start and type cmd in the box "search programs and files". Cmd.exe will appear at the top of the Menu. Right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator". Type the following command in the Code area after the prompt > and press enter (which implies that W7 is installed on your C drive).

Hello
Accidentally, I deleted the Recycle Bin recently deleted, do you know how to get it in the toolbar?
Do you mean the "recently deleted" album in the Photos? In the Photos on El Capitan it will automatically appear in the sidebar for you, if it contains pictures.
in the Yosemite pictures reveal-l don' t remember if the command 'Show recently deleted' is in the file menu or the menu display of Photos on Yosemite.

Hello
Borrow Vista disc a friend if you can - they are not copy protected - it must be a
full commercial copy or real OEM for your computer brand and model.Other options: (run checkdisk first to make sure corruption is not a problem).
How to run the check disk at startup in Vista
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/67612-check-disk-Chkdsk.htmland restart SFC/scannow.
Don't you installed SP1 if not install it.
If you have installed SP1 do you have SP2 installed or install.
If you have installed SP2, and then uninstall - reboot - and then reinstall it.
I hope this helps.

Recycling bin is disabled, how can I get that back!
I use Rainmeter to a clean desk and off my recycling bin, then it would not be displayed on the desktop. I used to access via a shortcut, but I ran CCleaner and it has removed these shortcuts. Now, I have no way of getting to my recycling bin. I tried to click with the right button on the desktop, select Personalize, click on Change desktop icons, but the Recycle Bin checkbox is grayed out. I remember when I originally turned off the tray I used another method (not that one) to turn it off, but I can't for the life of remember me how! Help, please!
Thanks for the link! In fact, I discovered that if I go to windows Explorer and type "basket" in the address bar, it will show me the contents of the cell, which is all I really need in the end. Thank you for your message if I've saved in case I decide to place the icon on my desktop in the future!
