My Safari passwords disappeared. Is it possible to recover?

In the Safari preferences - show passwords - only four of my many passwords to websites. They were all here this morning. Does anyone know how this could have happened and if it is possible to recover?

Thank you.

In your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences , and then select the password tab.

Make sure: AutoFill user names and passwords is enabled.

I havef that was already selected, make sure that your OS X software is up to date.

Click on your Apple  top left of your screen.

In the drop-down menu, click on about this Mac

Make sure the " view " tab is selected, and then click software update.

Your Mac may restart several times during the update process. That's ok.

Then see if Safari auto IDs for you.

If there is no update available, you can have an extension Safari or third party plugin installed which is causing a conflict. It is easy to solve the problems.

In the Safari menu, click Safari > Preferences , and select the tab ' Extensions '. If there are installed extensions, one at a time uninstall and exit then restart Safari to test.

If it is not a question of extensions, try troubleshooting third-party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the tab Security Deselect: plug-ins Allow. Quit and restart Safari to test.

If it makes a difference, the instructions of troubleshooting plugins here.

I accidentally restore my iphone6 to an old back upward, and then all my recent photos have disappeared, is it possible to restore? I need help. Please, I beg you. I'm so desperate

    Hi desperateme

Your recent photo (in the last 30 days) should be in the photo stream assuming that you use.

Otherwise you can just clean up the phone (settings > General > reset > erase all & content settings) and restore the phone again to a more recent backup.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

  • Is it possible to recover the password or to reset the password on a system of 7 Windors?

I have a system of windows 7 that we do not have the password. He belonged to a frind who was killés in a motorcycle accident. There is no hint on the password and only one account on the system. Is it possible to recover the password or reset the password. We have not been able to locate a password reset disk. We do not know if it has already created a. ! His wife needs to get and to locate information such as a will or accounting information
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Alfred.

While I'm not the final authority on Windows passwords, I don't think there is a way to reset the password. I think your best bet is to hope he kept important documents on a separate partition. If possible, I would consider doing the following.

    (1) depending on your level of comfort and expertise, remove the hard drive from her computer and hook it up as an external drive to a second computer that already has a functioning Windows 7 operating system. You could then read files on his now "external hard drive' and the search for all relevant documents.

    (2) If you are not comfortable doing this, or it's a phone that you do not have a service manual for, take it to a computer repair shop and ask them to carry out the extraction of hard disk and install as an external drive.

Its hard disk can be configured as an external drive by plugging into an available USB port, either directly by the use of a hard drive to a USB connector cable, or by inserting the drive into an external hard drive enclosure which in turn plugs into the USB port.

In both cases, the reader must be able to be read as its not used as a disk operating system, but rather as a simple data reader, for example, D:\Data disk. Sorry its not better.

    Kind regards

  • Mr President, I put in my window 7 Professional which I totally forgot the admin password, I'm not able to use my computer, is it possible to recover the admin password?

    Mr President.

I got the admin password in my window 7 Professional which I totally forgot, I'm not able to use my computer, is it possible to recover the admin password?

There is no way to retrieve a forgotten password. However, you can do this:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point until you have changed the password.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key.
  • Accordion, correct widget in Safari, but disappears in iOS

I use an Accordion widget, titled '' portfolio '' on my subpages, to reveal a panel stained when you click it, which contains several links. It works fine in Safari, but disappears completely in iOS. Have already searched the web, but am not finding anyone with similar issues.

I'm also having problems of speed with edge animate the points on my home page, but that's for another forum.

Click on the link; http://www.charlescrofton.com/real_media_group_launch_print_design.html to see my problem. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

Worked, after trying several permutations. Stop "Overlap of the following" did the trick. I expected that this would push the other elements on the page, I didn't, but maybe because the widget was sitting on layer 2, in my menu bar, it doesn't push down on the homepage content. Tested in desktop Safari, Chrome, FF and iOS.

  • Is it possible to recover hundreds of mails that have disappeared from my Inbox after it has been quarantined today by Norton Internet Security?

I received an infected email this morning which resulted in Norton Internet Security quarantine inbox. All received emails are gone now from the Inbox (with the exception of two who apparently arrived just before the infected message).
    (1) is it possible to recover the E-mails lost without re-infection of the Inbox?
    (2) how can I avoid this happening again? Until today, the infected emails have simply removed by Norton Internet Security on arrival without all the previous messages being lost in the Inbox.
I would be very grateful for help.

you force Nortons of UN-setting in the file quarantine.
Then, you create an exception for Norton analyzes the folders that contain your Thunderbird profile, so it is not repeated.

Be aware that the infection is not as severe as the cure. Maybe you can find someone to Semantec to explain how an email in Thunderbird can infect anything unless you physically open an infected attachment that Norton should catch when it is written in the temp folder before opening.

I lost a lot of time talking to corporate cretins to Semantec and they charge just "this is another line of defense" when asked for more details. Why, because they can simply justify not e-mail Scanner in any other terms. Enjoy it servers little or not by the challenges of usability and convenience.

This "mail" was written on your drive hard until Semantec has managed to make a mess of things. It's a little late don't you think saying "you have an infection. Do they expect also for stuff in your browser to be written on the disc? You bet they do. Where is the preventive surveillance to data transmissions that prevents infection before it is written on your drive?

  • I went back to a rented iMac Pro two weeks before I bought a new iMac desktop computer so did not migrate my Firefox bookmarks. Is it possible to recover?

Is it possible to recover my favorites to use Firefox without the old computer?

I don't remember my old user name or password, but my email address is the same.

If you have not used the synchronization and you do not have the computer (or less hard drive) has more better would have been to save bookmarks manually before swapping try it with a new iMac.

If you copy to your profile folder, then it would appear that the only way to recover your bookmarks to go on the old computer and retrieve your bookmarks. If you would use Sync, your bookmarks would have been stored on the servers of Mozilla Sync

  • Experts co-operate: is it possible to recover a recovered file closed?

    Hello

My intelligence has led me to this moment of hair-pulling: I realized that I closed the Word document of 16 pages AND the indesign document where I copied the same text and make a design.

It is a large amount of text which I think is lost forever. To be sure: I thought I'd ask you here anyway. Is it possible to recover it?

There are a lot of files in the folder AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\Version recovery 8.0\en_US\Caches\InDesign. These recovery of InDesign files can be opened in some way?

    Here, some interesting ones:

    -InDesign saved data (11,588 KB)

-DBSharingXXXXXXXXX (lots of files - some 'modified' the day I worked on the lost file)

This must have already happened days ago. At wanted to open this document, but realized he disappeared in the two programs.

Thanks a lot for all imput - I figured I try anyway, even if I think that the chances of recovering it are 1 in 1 million.

Sounds like a valuable life lesson, however.
