My Satellite A series PC laptop does not light

I just bought a new machine and got it home, plugged in, and it won't turn.

I don't think I've missed something.
Battery light flashes orange and there is a white light to the shower entrance.

Any ideas out there?
I hope someone can tell me that it takes a full load... but he said nothing about it in the documentation.

Thank you

Akuma is right.
When you plug in adapter, then the battery leave for awhile and then try to restart the laptop.

Please note: first portable computer startup must be connected to the power supply current while OS will be installed. This first installation must not be interrupted. It is very important and be careful with that.

  • Satellite A300D - 14 P: laptop does not turn on

The sleep of the command was made for windows. After that the PC won't turn on at all. After his button starts to light, drive HARD and CDROM by pushing the power button, turn, but the screen remains black, the CPU fan turns after a few minutes, BIOS and operating system do not start the process. After pressing the power again, the PC is turn off immediately. Formed the impression that the computer is still asleep.
Can you suggest what kind of problem, this could be?

P.S. In the forum, I find this suggestion:
    ' 1. unplug the laptop.
    2. remove the battery
    3. hold the power button for 20 seconds (do this drains any excess power fron the unit)
    4. put battery back in
    5. plug in laptop
    6. try to market"

I try but the computer still does not work :(

    Hello

    I found another workaround solution;
Remove the AC adapter and battery
Leave the laptop disconnected for long periods. I guess you should wait a few hours.
Then reconnect the battery and ac adapter.
Then try to turn on the device

    Sorry for my bad English...
When I start my laptop (push the botton) the screen is black!
I do not see the TOSHIBA logo... and nothing else!
The laptop is turned on (the green light is on) but the disk does not work.it similar to a sleep state.

    Hi Mauro,

your problem is very difficult because you do not see the Toshiba logo. When you push power button, watch closely to your LEDs. There is an opportunity of the NB emits a flashing code. The Toshiba Service partner could help interpret the Code and locate the problem.

  • Satellite L - water damage and the laptop does not light

    Hello

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I was just wondering if someone could give me some advice. My brother spilled some water on my laptop 3 days ago (argh!). He immediately turned off and won't start up again. I stamped it towards the top as long as I could, removed the battery and positioned in a V shape to try to help dry. It is still not started. When I plug in the adapter, the screen remains blank, but there is a very low humming noise and the lights flash:

The power light flashes green very clearly
    Battery green LED flashes weakly
The hard drive LED blinks green VERY weakly

I'm really hoping that the laptop is not dead and I'll at least be able to recover my hard drive, but it seems unlikely. I'd appreciate really any advice that anyone can give me in regard to what could be wrong or how I can fix this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Hello!

I agree with Luke and the best way is to contact you an ASP. They can check the laptop and tell exactly which parts must be Exchange or not.
On the Toshiba site, you can search an ASP:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported downloads & => find an authorized service provider

If the HARD drive is not defective, you can backup your data to another PC or laptop as Luke suggested.

    Good bye

  • Touchpad on Satellite A200-1 body weight does not light when you tapoterez the top right

    Satellite A200-1 body weight.

This has a double Synaptics touchpad mode that switches modes when you press on the upper right corner - at least he used to. Upgraded to Win7 and had to do a clean install as I had Vista Ultimate 32 bit version.
Used the upgrade of Tosh package but the touchpad driver gave me the basic features, no double mode.

Looked around and installed the driver of Luxpad V6.5 9.1.14 dated November 2, 2007. Played a little and everything came out to be almost normal, but the pad does not turn on & change the mode when I press on the upper right corner despite the checkbox for this being checked. It does turn on and work if I check the second option on the external mouse, etc..

All ideas will be considered with gratitude that I tend not to use it. See you soon.

    Hi ple2011,

Where did you downloaded Luxpad V6.5 driver? I can t find it on the Web from Toshiba site

Is that on the Web from Toshiba site, you can download Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad driver and you must install two drivers. You can download them here:

  • Zbook: Laptop does not light

    If it happened today.

My keyboard is not working all of a sudden (never had it before) so I restarted the computer. During the restart my fans have 100% and the screen shows the signs of hp after 2 minutes. Thought that it was taken way too long so I pressed the power button for 10 seconds and the computer is turned off.

Now the power button lights up, but the computer is not turned on. The button does nothing, pressed for 1 minute. Actually, it turned into a brick.

What on earth could cause this? The laptop is not hot at all, and the battery was at 50%, which is usually 2 hours.

Someone has an idea of what I need to do?

Well, I tried a hard reset (battery 30 sec) decoupled and that did the trick. Yet, really weird how that did.

  • HP Pavilion 15-n042se: my laptop does not light

I have HP Pavilion 15-n042se I have connected my laptop to a TV using hdmi, a mouse and an external keyboard... I pushed the power button on the keyboard to hurt and when I tried to put it on again nothing happened all came down... so I searched the internet for this problem and I found that by pushing the power button for 30 seconds and remove the battery and the AC adapter before that could help , but it does not... I noticed that when the AC adapter is plugged in the laptop light refers to the AC adapter on the laptop is also off

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum from HP Support.

If there is no noise from the computer fans, the lights on the computer is on and the screen is black, follow these steps to solve the problem.

    1. check that the computer is powered by the AC adapter.
    2. use another adapter.
    3. remove the battery and boot on power supply only.
    4. remove the AC adapter and the battery start only.

If the laptop is not on even with a power adapter well known, this confirms the hardware failure with the device.

I would ask you contact HP support for more information.

  • Satellite L300 - 1 G 6 does not light

Been asked to examine Satellite L300 a neighbor. The battery is permanently dead - I get 6 orange flashes of the LED battery status, then it must be replaced.

However, even if I remove the battery the laptop lights at all. Is this normal behavior for a L300 Satellite? Most of the other laptops I've experienced the tension very well despite the absence of the battery.

    All comments gratefully received.

    see you soon

    Hi Roger

Each notebook can begin with AC power only, of course if there is no hardware problem.
The flashing of the led is quite strange.
Have you noticed all flashes when you connect the power supply only?

Are what blue light you referring?

    Try a hard reset:

Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
Press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
Plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
    Press the power button

  • My Envy Touchscreen M7-k111dx laptop does not light.

My laptop was working fine. He has been connected as for the charge of the battery. I went to bed, got up the next day to use my laptop. I pushed the power button and nothing happens. I made sure the battery was sitting properly and also plug it into the laptop and the wall. I also tried different outlets in my house and nothing.

The only thing I ca tell you is that when I press the power button / light next to the power input (3) will blink once, then stops. Nothing happens more. This is all the information I can provide.

So can you please help me find a solution? My warranty has expired.

    Visruth,

I went and looked in the end of the power connector where it connects to the computer and found centering on the power adapter pin was bent to such OneSide and this prevented him from seating properly in the laptop.

I used a flat screwdriver to an eye glass repair kit and it curved towards the middle.   VALA!

Everything works, computer turned on and the battery is charging.

I want to thank you for the research and suggestions in my search for answers.

  • My laptop does not light.

I have a HP G61 - 408CA, and it just will activate not more.

The power adapter led is lit and the (lightning bolt) battery light constantly flashes when the battery is connected. This light flashes more quickly for about 1 second when I press the power button. Without the battery, the obviously lights at all.

I tried a hard reset. I tried with and without the battery, and I also tried a different power adapter.

    Any tips or ideas?

I think the motherboard gave and the only way to make it work again is to replace the motherboard. Post back if you have other questions about this.
