My Satellite laptop has been freezing randomly

Hello

I've seen a lot of posts on the subject, but no solution. So my laptop has been freezing at random the day I bought it. Today it happens much more often, this becomes ridiculously boring.

Is there a way to fix this?

> Once again, there was a notification that emerged after one of those who freeze soemthing mean in the sense of "there was a problem with amd (graphics card)?"but it was resovled."" It's all updated however.

This notification comes from the graphics card driver. It might be possible that there is a problem with the graphics driver or with the graphics chip.
Try to install the latest driver for Toshiba page. In case this doesn't help, recommend you to contact the service agents to check the hardware parts

But the previous user's right, its really hard to talk about issues that put t always appear or are difficult to reproduce

    Hello

    Thanks for the above information.

    1. what type of recovery you try using the recovery discs?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

Method 2: If the problem does not exist in Mode without failure, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

  • My PC has been freezing on me. I am running 32-bit Vista Home Premium.

My PC has been freezing on me. Everything just hangs and I have to use the reset button. I don't know why its happening, but its very predictable and only occurs under very specific conditions.

It happens ONLY when I have "Shut Down", leave my computer off for at least a few hours and then turn it back on. It does not matter if I leave the power on or off. It will freeze in a few minutes to turn on my PC.

Once I use the reset button, it freezes more until I have stop and wait for a few hours yet.

If I stopped and turn it back on in a few minutes, it does not freeze. I haven't checked if pre-empting the gel by stopping before the Frost occurs prevents occur, I'll probably test the next time I have to leave my PC turned off for an extended period of time.

If I use "Restart", it does not freeze. Although an old problem with very a decrease in performance after using "Restart" is still there. (Note: it is a very old problem that I've never been able to fix,.) I took several technology experts, and may not understand what is the cause either, but I found a temporary solution. Using Shut Down and then turn the PC back returns performance back to normal. Occurs when a reboot occurs as a result of the update of Windows too, so I just avoid using any form of "Restart" whenever possible, but I have always been updated Windows. I think that its not related to this problem of gel.)

If I put it on sleep mode and come back after many hours, it does not seem to freeze. Recently, it froze once after that, but it didn't happen since then, so it might be a fluke.

I don't know what is happening. It happened very rarely over the past 2 years but only started happening every time in the last 3 months. Windows told me recently that he recovered from a blue screen when it happened, but this message appeared only once so far.

Whenever it freezes, I mean a period of activity of the HDD for about 2 seconds. And then read/write rhythmic sounds half lasting one second time per second, which continues for about 10 seconds. After that, the hard drive noise settle in a low kind of drone. I can barely hear the hard disk read or write something, but its much softer. It doesn't seem to change this State no matter how long I leave it.

I think its some sort of hardware failure that only happens when the PC components are 'cold', if that's even possible, but I can't be sure.

Speculation as to what is the cause of software or hardware? If it's a hardware problem, is there a particular part of the PC which would cause it to freeze predictable in such a specific circumstance?

I use mode sees as a temporary solution instead of closing my PC, but I fear that the problem will be extended later.

My motherboard is old enough that my CMOS battery is dying, it became apparent a month ago. I'll soon change the battery. I don't know if the problem might be related.

    Hello

Start by making sure that the software is running properly and change this battery CMOS ASAP.

And always make sure that the latest hardware drivers are downloaded and installed on your computer manufacturer's Web site.

  • The serial number on the bottom of my laptop has been rubbed off. I can find it somewhere in the system?

    Original title: my serial number

The serial number on the bottom of my laptop has been rubbed off.  I can find it somewhere in the system?

    Hello

If the operating system is preinstalled, as it appears as the product key sticker was on the bottom of the laptop, NO, you will not find a product key that you can use for any purpose useful in your system.

The only product key you would find in your system is the manufacturer factory Installation product key that is used for multiple facilities only during the original production.

If you want to reinstall the operating system, contact the manufacturer and ask him either send you recovery disks to reinstall the operating system, what they should do for a small cost and also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your laptop to do the same thing, which is to reinstall the operating system.

None of these methods relocation normally requires that you insert a product key when reinstalling.

    See you soon.

p.s., serial number (SN: xxxxx) is to do with the identification number to the manufacturer if you ever contact them so that they can search for details of your laptop and there's nothing to do with the product key.

  • Satellite Pro R850-15F - freezing randomly and the fan speeds up

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro R850-15F who gave me four years in refurbished condition and so it is quite old.
I have recently installed Windows 10 and things seemed to work very well.

However, last week, I noticed that at least once a day my laptop freezes randomly and immediately the internal fan accelerates, becomes much stronger and a cold air. Whenever this happens, I turned off the laptop and turn it back on it.

After that, it works normally again until the next time it freezes. I don't know anything about computer hardware, but I suspect that it is a problem of series and I wanted to get some advice in case my laptop is close to dying.

If anyone has any help or advice or suggestions to solve the problem, then I would be extremely grateful if you would contact me.

Hope to hear from someone soon,

    Flashback

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. To me, it looks like problem with some background process that as a result of extremely high CPU usage that locks the phone whole.
High CPU usage means more heat in such situation the fan starts to run a lot faster.

Have you noticed this behavior with a specific action or the use of certain applications?

  • 5CD4493G70: my laptop has been compromised by a hacker. How can I save and store my data recovery later?

I got this HP laptop about 3 years ago. I don't know the model because the stickers have been removed and I can not access to the.

A few months after I got it, code windows would randomly appear on the screen and then disappear.

Later, after having blocked a Facebook stalker, the device has been hacked and the hacker took control of one of my social media accounts. Since the device has acted as if it had a mind of its own:

-say there is no available network connection, even when other devices are connected to the network

-l' screen goes black when I turn it on

-reboot or turn off his own even when the battery is charged

-whenever I try to manually reboot the device, the two programs temporarily prevents shutdown. I forgot the name of one, but the other has 'Window of broadcast events' in there.

-Quit applications such as wordpad while I use them

-Research of control panel are disabled; Search crashes just before the result may appear

Recently, after having frustrated, I messaged the person I thought to be the culprit behind the attack. Literally a few seconds later the device froze, and only by pressing the power button could turn it off. Subsequently whenever I tried to unlock the computer, a black or blue screen. In addition, the laptop had shown no recent sign of suspicious activity until the message has been sent.

I'm not a big fan of technology, I can't live without my cell phone, but I will just buy a new one. However, I would like to back up and recover data from it. Is it possible that I can have help to do this?

You don't have to pay the money - as I have already said to parade in front of the lines of the contribution click the link to download the file.

I just checked the page, and it again IS there...

You click on the download button.

You get another screen with a bunch of lines of the Contribution.

Down at the bottom, there's the drawing of the face of a monkey and a link to click a Paypal button.

You click on the link that says not now, "take me to the download.

It should then start downloading the ISO file.

If there is no HP sticker on the laptop (it may be in the Bay of battery or under the protection of the memory-hard drive according to the model), then is is not rehabilitated by HP.

If you place the HP sticker then product number (p/n) will reflect an R in the string just before the #.
