  I use a laptop Dell XPS M1330, under Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. The laptop froze, I tried to do a system restore, which did not work. Now the laptop goes into startup each time put on repair.   Ø are you using the correct version of the Vista disc to run Startup Repair?

  I suggest to run the diagnostic tool memory WINRE mode and check if the memory (RAM) installed on the computer works fine.

  Follow the steps below to start the computer using the WINRE and run the memory diagnostic tool.

  A. Insert the Windows Vista installation disc.

  B. restart your computer.

  C. Si you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

  Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

  D. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

  E. click on repair your computer.

  F. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

  G. in the menu system, SelectMemory diagnostic tool Recovery Options.

  Once scanning is complete, check to see if the problem is resolved.

  If you have several sticks of RAM installed on the computer, you can try to remove one of the RAM stick and check if it works very well. Also, you try to exchange the RAM sticks and check if one of the RAM is originally this issue and if it needs to be replaced.

  If you do not have the Windows XP installation disk, I recommend you to make arrangements for a disc that is the same edition as it is installed on your machine.

  We have updated the essbase.cfg and define the TRUE ENABLESWITCHTOBACKUPFILE but that didn't work.

  Also, we have renamed the file essbase.sec in essbase_bak.sec and restarted the service. still no luck.

  Essbase Server is now running

  I assume that Exchange of HARD drive has been successfully. What you can do is to open the BIOS settings and check if the HARD drive is recognized correctly.
  Now, you must install the operating system. If you n t have original recovery media, you can install the OS using the Microsoft installation disc. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  I can't get the service to start on my winxp sp3 pc event log. I have tried everything I know:

  • Running sfc/scannow
  • Reset permissions
  • Search for malware and viruses
  • Rebuild the WMI
  • Create a new account
  Nothing seems to work, I think that this is related to an error in hardware/device, but I see no problem in Device Manager. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this resolved? I don't really want to have to format or restore my PC...
