    I just bought the Toshiba 2.5 "Stor.E Canvio 1 TB on a Windows 7 Thoshiba laptop.

    Theoretically, it could be a HARD drive problem.
    Would be interesting to know if the other HARD drive does the same thing

    However Stor.E Canvio is a HARD USB 3.0 drive and it takes min 900mA to operate correctly.
    It might be possible that not enough power provided by the USB port.
    You can try to plug an external USB hub between the laptop and the HARD drive to verify functionality.

    Hi, my problem is that my audio goes off after a few minutes, then if I want it back I have to restart the PC and it seems in good condition, but imagine having to restart your computer after you have initially fed up whenever you want to use the PC.     On the audio issue, try the following.

    Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

    Locate the update of KB2962407, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

    If the pesists of the problem, right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select playback devices.  Right click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP), and then select Properties.  Select the Advanced tab, and then remove the check box "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."  Click apply and then click Ok to save this change.

    Restart the laptop.

    I have buyed a Toshiba Dynadock U3 (and I'm very angry about this, to play the beta tester for this s * product!)
    It works... a few minutes... that the monitor is suspended until..., reconnect power and that works too.

    on usb 2.0 port, it works very well, without any error... but on usb graphics 3.0.it lost after 10-30 min... I installed the latest usb 3.0 driver and the latest displaylink software... I have reported the error by displaylink with aid there but they find no solution...
    It is now time for toshiba to make me happy and to find a solution for this product... This isn't a finished product. It's a betaDock... no more...

    Do you mean that you have no problem using the Dynadock U3 if you connect it to the USB 2.0 USB of your Vaio laptop?

    Have you checked whether its a cell phone number? Have you tested this with other computers laptops/computers?

    Saving is disabled in your portable USB 3.0? Usually, this can be done in Win 7 power options.
