My toshiba laptop will not connect to my HP Envy 4500 printer

Recently, I tried to connect my Toshiba laptop running Windows 8, wireless on my HP Envy 4500 printer. I am trying to scan something on my laptop, I did with the printer before. I have the remote app, and I have connected to the network the printer wireless displays in the wifi of my computer. However, when you try to get the printer to scan, using the option on the printer screen, it says that no device is connected, and to ensure that the software has been installed and this scan to pc has been activated. I opened the application on my laptop, in hopes of getting better results using what it was, but he told me that the printer is offline, if it was obviously on. I'm not entirely sure why the printer doesn't recognize my laptop, even if my laptop recognizes. I spent nearly two hours, disconnection and reconnection, as well as the printer off about three times. I'm about to uninstall the application and try to reinstall, but I'm questioning that results will be better.

I don't see any other way to solve this problem, because there is no USB port to connect a USB cable don't, like myprevious printer and wonder if it is my laptop, not the printer, which is faulty. It works for printing, when it comes to other devices in my house, but I had problems same impression with my Toshiba before. I tried only with another scanning device: a desktop HP Pavilion Media Center TV PC computer. I'm starting to think that the scanner is broken to only other reognizing products HP and ask any advice to fix this problem.

I can connect with ethernet, but not with this new situation of the House, do I have the wireless. WHAT ME MISS? I did this for weeks and even now, it says I'm connected, the signal strength is very good, often great, but Explorer cannot display this webpage. Can someone tell me what to do? Thank you!  Allie

Your old Toshiba equipped with an adapter wireless which is likely to be used for Wireless-a, b, wireless and wireless-g (the project).   Your employer has a newer version (not the last and larger, but much more recent than your equipment) router Linksys that is capable of wireless-b, wireless-g and wireless - n.

Your most likely problem is that your employer has set up his router to "N-only.  Wireless n uses the same radio frequency as wireless-g (this is why detect you the "excellent" signal strength), but uses a different protocol (this is why you can't connect).

Politely ask your employer to change the mode 'network' from the back of the default router of "mixed".

The router manual is here: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/WRT160N see p. 13 ' Basic Wireless Settings.

Looking for a certificate message was probably bound to have the box 802.11 x checked.  This box should NOT be checked for home wireless networks.

my new hp laptop windows 8 will not connect to my wireless internet. It will be after I restart, but after a few minutes, it goes with limited access. How can I fix?

    Hello erobb14,

We will try to remove your Wi - Fi card and let Windows to install it again. This will reset any options or configuration errors that may have been applied.

Press and hold the Windows key and press W.
In the search bar, type "Device Manager" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.

Once inside the Device Manager, please find and unfold the group named "network adapters".
From there, to identify your wireless card (it will very probably include the word "wireless" or "802.11".

Now, right click on the wireless network device and click "Uninstall".
If you're facing a check box asking if you want to remove the driver as well, please let it be empty.

After the device has been uninstalled, restart your device and try to connect to the wireless again.

I would like to know how that works for you.

    Hello

This is a security feature of each wireless router I've ever seen, although I wouldn't be surprised to discover that some router didn't do it. You need to check your router admin pages to see if mac address filtering is in effect. Address filtering Mac prohibits access to the router by any unauthorized network device. All network devices have a unique mac address which you can find through opening a command prompt (click Start, then type cmd and press enter) and then typing ipconfig/all. The output refers to your device Wireless 'physical address' (mac address) and will be in the format hh-hh-hh-hh-hh-hh, where hh is a hexadecimal number (A - F and numbers 0-9), dashes are not important and may not be required when you enter your mac address in the router configuration.

    Thank you

    Mark

Your HP laptop to work with WEP security on your router, you must create a profile on your HP laptop to your wireless network. As on your HP laptop IEEE of authentication is turned on, which is why its asking you additional connection information. Follow the steps to add a profile on your HP laptop wireless.

This settings are for Windows Vista:

Click Start - Control Panel - Network Center and sharing - on Sid left Click on 'Manage Wireless Network' - click on Add - then click Manully Create a network profile - typed the name of your network - security or password Type your security key - click Next - and click on "Connect To" and once you are able to see your network connected to your wireless network , Close all windows an try to go online.

    This settings for Windows XP:

Click Start - Control Panel - card WIRELESS - make a right click on the "Wireless network connection" icon and click on properties - next to the general tab, click "Wireless network" tab and under "Preferred networks" - click on the Add button - name of sub network - Type the name of your wireless network - and under authentication of network Open, under Date of WEP encryption select - below you must uncheck "the key is provided for me automatically" and under network key and the type of key network confirm your security key and click Ok and click Ok. Once done Click right on your wireless network connection icon and click on view available wireless network - select your network and click on Connect.

After that, you will be connected to your network and check if you are online.

  • Laptop will NOT connect wireless, my drivers ARE up to date

My Windows Vista laptop, USED to connect to my router wireless very well. Now it won't, it doesn't even recognize that a network is available. I looked for answers and have updated all my drivers on windows suggested and still not connect wireless. My blackberry to connect to my router very well... Help, please!

    Hello

Turn off the router and the Modem - wait 3 minutes and reverse. Restart the computer.

Some systems have a power switch on the front or side. If a laptp or a PC that uses embedded
WiFi check/configuration settings (BIOS/CMOS) as you start - often F2 then warning screen - select-
boar without wireless/WiFi. If the PC of a kitchen separated and system maps turned OFF and try to remove and
replacement of the card - in fact remove - do not just tight.

A manual update or re - stall your drivers by using these methods, do not use only the driver update as
You must refresh the batteries of any driver.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon. Use a wire or download drivers
on another computer and use removable media to transfer to your system.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Computer Toshiba laptop will not collect CD/DVD player

Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5897. All of a sudden my laptop had some problems to stay connected with my CD/DVD drive. Its a Matshita dvd ram uj 850 s. sometimes, he disappears on the no hand, unexpected. I played a game yesterday and the game comes close to the top on its own, not even an error note or anything like that - it lacked the drive. I already tried Microsoft fix - it program and it usually solves the problem, but after a few minutes or something, his party once again. And then the register, there was only a higher filter, not a lower filter, and I deleted it. I restarted my computer, and I saw the disc written twice in my computer, then they both disappeared. And finally, I deleted iTunes because of what I read about it affecting the status of the drive. Helped for maybe an hour or two, then he disappeared. Are there other ways to solve this problem? I hope this is enough information.

    Hello

iTunes and others, especially when there are several, CD/DVD programs will compete
for resources that can lead to strange problems with readers. You have more than a couple
other than the features included in Windows?

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Run DiskCleanup - start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

Start - type in the search box - find command top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

How to run the check disk at startup in Vista
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/67612-check-disk-Chkdsk.html

    ==========================================================

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

  • Laptop will not connect to Deskjet3070A

    Hello

    Can someone help me please?

I'm trying to set up my printer wireless to parents.

It used to work fine until they have had a few problems with the wifi and their provider changed something in their router.

Now, the computer more connects to the printer.

I tried everything, everything solve the programs, but nothing does.

The printer indicates that it is connected (to the same network as the laptop), but when I want to change the USB of the computer Wi - Fi says it does not find the printer.

I tried to change the SSID password, MAC filtering, disable antivirus, firewall... nothing works...

I'm getting desperate here, please help!

    Thank you!

    Martine

Thanks to you two, but I managed to fix it myself.

I discovered that the internet provider enabled AP isolation in the router settings.

When I have that turned off the laptop was able to see the printer.

    Thanks again!

  • Had to go to the WPA to get connection Nook. Now the laptop will not connect.

Newly acquired Nook Color would not recognize connection WEP. So I spent the Bureau for the WPA. Now laptop said little or no connectivity. Can the corners as well and portable live in this environment? If so, how?

It's a good thing.  WEP is near useless for what is security is these days.

Connect to a router, or using ad hoc wireless to share the Internet connection belonging to the office?

Most wireless routers require that all devices use the same encryption level.  Some newer routers can allow a mixture of WPA and WPA2, but as far as I know, none allow the WEP and WPA at the same time.  If you use a wireless adapter in the Office for an ad hoc wireless network, I'm sure that without these adapters allow the WEP and WPA.

Change your laptop in WPA too.

You may need to remove the connection recorded first in order to make this change. Assuming you use Windows to configure the adapter to the laptop wireless (and more far assuming that the laptop is running XP sp2 or greater), the procedure is as follows:

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right click on the wireless adapter icon and select Properties
    • Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
    • Select your network wireless from the list of "Preferred networks", then click on the button Delete
    • OK your way out

Now find your wireless network in the list of available wireless networks, click connection and enter the WPA password when you are prompted.

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

Then, he goes in the wizard and asks the printer... It does not appear in the list, and I try to go in the C\drivers\folder. (ect.) where the new download is installed. Always get the .inf file cannot find... I still see that the printer in the network-it just keeps giving me the error...
