From time to time when I come across a malicious website which prevents any action of navigation. If the simplest action is to use the end task on firefox.exe task manager. It works well, however, because firefox has been forced to leave he is trying to restore the tabs, I had open. Previous versions of firefox would give you the ability to restore or to stop trying to restore after a few force leaves. now firefox keeps trying to recover the previous tabs.

How can I set firefox to ASK if I want to restore the previous session?

You can set the integer pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the subject: config page in order to get the about: sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a collision has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.

  • 2004nl Pavilion p6: p6-2004nl restore OK and then nothing...

I had 5 beeps. Something with the video. Bougth a new motherboard (used) solved this problem. For some reason, all restore options end up with eternal windows icon and a message (waiting icon rotation). I have an original 2 TB hard drive.  Also tried a brand new HD 1 TB with the same result.

The motherboard is an AAHD2-HY (Holly?). My question is now a corrupted BIOS. But without an opperatiing running system, it is impossible to restore it. The tools I find are not compatible with a USB bootable DOS.

Someone at - it a sugestion how to solve this problem?

    Thanks for your concern.

This is the solution: it's my fault. The cable between the Mo and the jury of the antenna was in the wrong position on the motherboard. IK removed the connector (and the jury of the antenna, I don't use it) solved the problem! Sorry for all the confusion and thank you for your concern!

  • undo the restore prompt xp pro

    Sys = XP pro SP3

Due to problems with Kodak, I did a restore and ended up with a system that has nothing of all the work the USB and so no mouse.
I tried to start the help and support to cancel the restore, but nothing happens. I then tried the command line with rstrui.exe but I get totally empty restore screen.
I went into the Device Manager and noted that under the USB controllers all 7 items have the yellow flag and that's the reason for the lack of activity of the mouse.
Even if I am able to restore the mouse I can't undo the restore because it that either will not go up in the start menu or from the command prompt in safe mode.
Any suggestions? Does anyone know a command that would RESULT in my previous restore?
Even the %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe did not work.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If your system restore page display only the title bar 'System Restore', or your accounts settings page of users shows that the 'User accounts' title bar and the screen where information needs to be is an empty white box...

System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.  If SR was working before and is now afflicted, run some scans and then fix any problems.

Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.

Your system is currently or has been reached by malicious software.

You can now fix the symptom and scanning for malware later, or you can now find malware and fix the remains later.  I recommend just fixing the symptom of the empty page and forget to do the scans.  The symptom of the problem of fixing and fixing the problem are two different things.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans using own it may also be necessary to re-register some dll (or you can do this part first, but you still have to do the scans).

    Just fix the immediate question:

Looks like your file jscript.dll became somehow not registered so you can re-record it.

There are probably a few other things that do not work you know yet, so fix them all at once.

Re-registration of these DLLs is correct, even if they do not need renewal.  You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.

Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time.

    regsvr32 jscript.dll
    regsvr32 vbscript .dll
    regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (it's a look of slash)

The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.

Now check your timetable for restoration of the system and/or the user account settings page.

I uninstalled Illustrator using the uninstall application in the main folder, then reinstalled Illustrator CC 2014 using the creative cloud icon in my menu bar. Uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

    Hello

I bought this laptop 5 weeks ago and now have problems with the right, click on the mouse does not work. Left click sometimes opens to the left, click on functions and leaves me is impossible to close programs or closed, double clicking in the pavement or enter does not work also.

I tried to do a system restore to the factory, but I can not click on the next to take me through the restoration and end up having to close it via the main power switch.

    Any ideas please?

    Hello

You have the same problems with a mouse external or just the touchpad?

If an external mouse works correctly, you can use it to do a recovery install. This can help you to solve the problem, if this just s software.

Not least have last but you tried to update the driver for the touchpad? You can find it on the official website of Toshiba:

  • copy in iphone to another iphone with icloud

I need to copy my photos, video, music, messages from my old iphone 4s to my new iphone 6 more, is it possible using icloud?

    Yes - it's very simple:

    1. make sure that the iOS on your new phone is the same or higher than the iOS on iPhone 4S that you will be a copy since. If the new phone is running an iOS which is lower than that of your iPhone 4 s. implement the new phone without using a backup, update of iOS, and then clear the new phone by following the instructions in step 2 below before restoration:

    1. backup your current device to iCloud, check that the backup is successful

    2. on your new device, if not on the screen "Hello" (if you see a homescreen instead), go to settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings to clear the unit. Once you see the Hello screen, follow the instructions and when asked, sign in using your iCloud ID and the password.

    3. you will be asked if you want to restore from a backup, select the backup you want to restore from and the kickoff of the restore process.

    4. check every now and then to ensure that it does not ask one password to another code that may have purchases or existing media on your iPhone that try to download to your new device.

    5. the restoration will end while applications complete the download. You can use it once the screen displays home, but don't get not impatient with apps that are download - they can take a long time. If one seems to hold everything up, delete it. You can always re - download later.

    Good luck

  • Why System Volume Information so great and why is it in several files?

Recently, I ran a Disk Defragmenter on my Vista 32 bit. He had several reported System Volume Information folders. I read that it contains vital information in it, but I fear that it is in several folders and that the combined size of the files is 70 GB. 70 GB spread over about 20 cases doesn't seem right. If the size is not a result of a virus or something similar, it is possible to limit the size and recover some of the 70 GB system volume information folders now use?

System Restore is a very useful feature of Windows Vista, but it has a drawback. After running for a few weeks, it can use a lot of space on your hard drive. With the default settings enabled, System Restore can use up to 15 percent of the space on each disk. For example, if you have a 250 GB hard drive, System Restore may end up using 37, 5 GB of it.

  • How can I fix it which takes 20 times or more to start completely?

Hello, I have a Compaq Presario SR5510F PC, Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Athlon x 2 Edition, I believe. Lately, I've been having problems with starting that make me half an hour to turn on the computer. So, need me around 20 or if sometimes it starts. And there are a lot of situations, different points during the startup process where the computer to hang on and not to continue with the process.

    • It sometimes stuck on the Compaq screen, sometimes with a 'shock' graphic glitch that requires him to go wrong.
    • Occasionally, the Compaq screen would be able to disappear, only to make it appear again, without any logical reason.
    • And when it gets there, it can get stuck on the cursor flashing in the corner.
    • Or there is a NVIDIA Drivers of detection screen, and it is never over, causing the reboot.
    • When he gets through, there may be a white screen where would be showing the scroll bar to start on the bottom.
    • Sometimes it appears and loop and loop and not finished.
    • Sometimes, when he eventually through, there will be a blue screen with an explanation of the random error that could revive the whole darn process! And sometimes, he would show only for a fraction of a second.

  • Has anyone recently had an experience with the help of MS which seemed inappropriate in the way it was handled?

I talked about what I thought, it was the 'answer Desk' many x since 2/2013. The first time, I agreed to pay a fee of $99.95 for their support of prem. My space available on my C: drve (my primary internal HD) had suddenly disappeared from aprx 30 GB less than 7 GB and I was getting warnings in order to free up more space for the OS to work (Win 7 Hm Prem). I was unable to do a restore and ended up opting for the help I thought may be some kind of malware... I sat down and typed chat w the tech until the store has been w / I 10 minutes from closing. He said to go ahead and that it would update me when I got home. When I got home, he said that I had nearly 200 cases to be a site where a virus or something like that. He also had somehow freed more than 80 GB on my C: drive. I was exhausted and overwhelmed by the upheavals which went down while I was gone for 15 min. I made the mistake of thinking I could get additional clarification of all cela the next day when I had little sleep. I've never been able to get a detailed account of what he wanted by 200 close to infections or how he had gotten me 7 GB when I left at more than 90 GB, when I got home fr store. I found w / I a few days I still had serious w problems my free space on the drive internal dissapating too low levels and still not the ability to do a restore. I tried a recovery when the restore has failed twice. I had to do several laps when I got a computer laptop w Vista as a model of HP for my 1st purchase computer - a laptop given to nine (w. XP). As we know, Vista was raided in MS * until they came out SP1 SP2 for the confused, tired of the masses. In any case, I haven't had any apprehension on the restorations - bk to the top of your list of files, the software U wanted to reinstall. When I tried it on Windows 7 in 2/2013, I learned, I was given a key to sting that was incorrect because of sm. I bought 7 online after that Vista would not even restart files en lost because the registry (where they went are beyond me, maybe Costa Rica). Forgive my black humor, but it's what has kept me sane while devoting my life to constantly face w Windows for 1 reason or another. Fast forward to February. I was assigned 6 diff cases impossible since then because after I received a regenerated prod key and the reciovery, I had lost my CD burning ability. The last 2 times I called 'Office of response', literally, I spent 5 -7 w h. Tech that didn't charge me but also left me w no solution after having exhausted me while they were just travelling. All this has a cumulative effect and they play you w. that to mind. Following the last was a guy named Alex who swore that he would call me the next afternoon at 16:00 and I never heard from him again, haven't had no case, said that no Alex was there, etc... Finally, yesterday I called and when I unbalanced young woman in its attempts to prelim to guide the conversation, she got her suervisor, a type of very vigorous hyperconfident, which all of my history w recent them and resolutely focused on sell me either one another session extraordinary $ 99.95 w simply ignored another tech or an extended warranty program to cover me for mos how. I do not know. After refusing not to recognize my recent w purchase offers even no follow-up, no help to solve the problem at all - I said that, although it was of course polite to its mandate - closest high-power, he ignored the very relevant inconsistencies that I did clearly too many times and with a less-than-slick method called simply ignore the objection and try to talk me into submission. I have rfealize many of you in the forum must have had some formal w MS Assoc. and I am not condemning the whole anything. I don't get what support degenerated. The guy went yesterday to a few administrative event viewer screen and "showed me where I had turned off many vital MS service components, including 1 thatr makes no sense whatsoever - I told my update of Windows (which is set to auto-install every day without any special authorization) DO NOT to INSTALL ALL the DRIVERS...". Who does not at all any H2O. Why I set the update I have described and then send it to not do very well the tasks he would have apparently if necessary to update? If anone can begin in any sense of the madness, I really see how it was me that I screwed up over and over again. Thanks to all of you who have really tried to help me. At this point, I decided to save my $ for a refurbished MacBook Pro and pretend this never happened. SLO

What you're missing is in the hands of the manufacturer of computers, OEM, not Microsoft Windows OEM support.

Microsoft support is more oriented to businesses, not individuals, and $99 fees to home users...

Forum support is much better than Microsoft or any other company could never muster anyway.
