My windows 7 is constantly downloading updateshow speed this up.
Installation time is so long, after 2 hours it signals yet that a sign of 25% completed. ISD this really necessary?
adventurousfoodie,
You can try to boot your PC and then run Windows Update. Also, make sure that there are no other devices using your internet connection (or they take more bandwidth). Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

Svchost.exe - k netsvcs constantly download
I work on a XP Home SP3 computer that constantly downloading using system32\svchost.exe - k netsvcs. It will download as long as the computer is connected. Before realizing the problem, downloading 1.4 GB. I use Netbalancer to observe the process. This is a customers computer.
Things I've tried:> Disable automatic updates of windows. The computer has been updated last week.
> Scan with Malwarebytes, Security Essentials, MFRT, AVG TDDSkiller in windows and safe mode when possible. AVG found 6 google corrupt toolbar.exe in Temp files. Others do nothing are.
> Deactivate restore system and rescan with AVG, while the computer is connected.
> The computer has always had Norton AntiVirus installed. It found and removed 1 virus by setup_lib_srf [1] .exe which contained "Downloader" in 2009.
> Disabled Background Intelligent Transfer service but netsvcs downloads yet and the BITS service back to automatic after a reboot.
> Ran svchost.exe fix from Microsoft which is for high processor use but thought it might help.
> The IP remote netsvcs is in contact with belongs to Akamai Technologies when windows automatic updating is disabled. With the updates automatically on other ip addresses belong to Microsoft.I ran Hijackthis if you want as the journal.

Windows Explorer crashes constantly on the new Asus
I bought a new X53SV-SX288V Asus with windows 7 64 bit on it and after installing some programs Windows Explorer crashes constantly for some reason any...
I have restored the pc to factory a couple of times now, hoping it might fix the problem, but it is persistent...
Windows Explorer crashes often and sometimes it seems that the problem has disappeared, but then it happens randomly. When I restart the Explorer usually just, it freezes again and gives me the same error permanently after each restart of Explorer... it just crashes, restarts, block immediately, restart and so on...
I don't know what to do. I'm not much of a geek...
The thing is, the problem occurs only after you have installed programs. Not directly after the time I restore settings, is probably not a hardware problem (I think).
Still, I installed an antivirus before anything else.
First of all, I tried Comodo several times. Then Avira. And now I'm with AVG. Thus, all the programs I download should be good.Side note: programs Evernote who install are all widely used programs like CCleaner, Skype, iTunes, Chrome,... All of their own websites, so I do not understand how they are the problem.
Is it possible that this is a problem material, even when the problem occurs only after you have installed (well known) programs?
How to fix this problem?
Here is the message that comes up with the error:

Code800F900 'unknown error in windows update' trying to download windows vista service pack 2
try to download windows vista service pack 2. Last update was on May 21, 2010. For a few weeks or months, the computer can be terribly slow. Often a hard drive rattle sound. For this, I tried anti-spyware, last week I installed and ran AdAware from lavasoft. It found nothing except two small cookies. A few weeks earlier, I had done the same thing using windows Defender. Also nothing. Along with a check disk hard I did not find much either. What end of the lifecycle for this computer, now about 3 years? He was one of the first available vista computers. Thank you for your help, Peter

Why did you delete your post where you said that Norton application has been installed at some point in the past?
There is nothing wrong with the guarantee of these forums, but I'd be willing to bet that there is something VERY wrong with the security of your computer!
Let's cut to the Chase. See...

How install us Windows 7 which is download from Microsoft Store on XP Pro
Download Windows 7. ISO file from the download page of the store. Then create a bootable DVD of the file .iso (see the last part of my post).
You need to save your documents (word, excel, photos, music, etc.) to a disk external USB or DVD media before starting the installation. As all applications will need to be reinstalled so look for product keys and media.
Once the DVD has been created the you have to start from it and to proceed with an installation "Custom"and clean. "

How can I reformat laptop which came with the free upgrade to Windows 7. Update download
I have a Hp Pavilion DV4-1430us comes with Windows Vista and had a free upgrade to Windows 7. I have updated successfully in December 2009. Laptop still works fine, but it's certainly time to reformat. Only problem is that I don't have the disc of Windows 7 because it was a download. I believe that the recovery partition will have the older operating system. Can I create a recovery for the OS system disk I use now (windows 7)? I don't have any except the original e-mail that said that I ordered the upgrade with a non-functional link on the HP Windows 7 Upgrade site.
The Vista HP recovery partition may still exist, but, due to the upgrade of the operating system, it may not work. Options to return the computer to a factory State include the marking of the score of "HP Recovery" active using the Windows disk management console or you are ordering and using a set of HP recovery disks.
Before you recover your computer, please check your email for a provided HP Windows 7 key or use the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to retrieve your current Windows 7 product key. Then download the same version of Windows 7, you have HERE or HERE. Now create your installation media of Windows 7 on a DVD or a USB Flash drive. Please download and use Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool to create the installation media.
