My windows aero theme disappeared on my dell inspiron 1545.

I put my computer in mode 'sleep' last night, and after a few hours I turned back on it. much to my annoyance, available to windows on usual measure was nowhere to seen, and he was replaced by a gray opaque which I don't like so much. I realized to my horror that my beloved theme Aero, which I had used for 2 years, was absent, and instead the computer has been set by default at the base of Vista. I was not uncomfortable with its primitive features, so I decided to find out how to get Aero.

The first thing I did was click on personalize, then window color and appearance. This didn't work at all, as long as the option was not among the choices of Windows Aero. So that's all for the Plan.

I raised the questions of other users who have had the same problem. Among solutions prohibited for them was that graphic drive should be upgraded. I know that my drive has been already updated a few months before this problem, he didn't need.

Then, I heard to reconfigure a certain place in the register, namely HKEY_CURRENT_USER, in order for Aero back, so I thought I would try it out. I walked into the registry "regedit", scrolled down to find this place, and would you believe, I could NOT EVEN FIND the!

Either it is nowhere in the registry or it hides like ninja among the masses in there. (If anyone can tell me how to locate in the registry, I would be happy).

Now I'm not sure what to do. My computer will be like a stranger to me without the Aero theme and I want the good old, friendly computer back I've had for two years. If anyone, no matter WHO, he knows the ultomate solution, I will deal with my best friend of the internet worldwide (not literally, just a figure of goodwill). So please, give me an answer!

HOLY (insert moderately vulgar expletive)!

MY WINDOWS AERO THEME SUDDENLY APPEARED FROM nowhere SHARE, zigzag3143x

OK, HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED:

IN WHAT I THOUGHT, IT WAS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (AND LESS IMPORTANTLY), I NOTICED THAT THE RESOLUTION OF THE SCREEN WAS TOO WIDE FOR MY TASTE SO I RIGHTCLICKED ON THE DESK AND WENT TO CUSTOMIZE AND THEN CLICK DISPLAY SETTINGS.

I CHANGED THE RESOLUTION, AND NOT ONLY CHANGED THE SIZE, HE BROUGHT BACK THE AERO! IT IS ACTUALLY RETURNED, FEATURES, COLORS AND ALL! I PUT THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP AND IT WAS RESTARTED TWICE, AS I DID WHEN AERO DISAPPEARED. NOTHING HAPPENED, THE NA NO AERO IS IN GO

IM SURPRISED. I MEAN, THE RESOLUTION WAS A WORLD AWAY FROM THE AERO QUESTION, AND NOW THESE TWO ARE NOW LINKED IN SOME WAY.

zigzag3143x, I'M STUNNED AND HAPPY AT the SAME TIME, BUT ALSO WOOLLEY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GRAPHICS DRIVER, ALTHOUGH I WAS DUBIOUS, BUT I NEVER THINK THAT A SIMPLE SCREEN RESOLUTION CHANGE WOULD BRING BACK MY BELOVED WINDOWS AERO.

I'M GOING TO INSTALL A NEW DRIVER BECAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU THAT IT MIGHT BE DAMAGED, BUT CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP MAN! YOU ARE A BROTHER FOR LIFE

  • Of Windows Aero theme disappeared!

(I know this has been posted many times before but none of the solutions seem to help my problem.)

So I was using my computer tonight and all of a sudden I noticed that my Aero theme had disappeared.
I tried to put it back but when I click on the Aero theme and okay, it loads properly, but once it's finished, it still isn't here. And when I check my settings, it is automatically back to Windows Vista Basic.
This happened to me once before on my old laptop which was a Dell, and I have never fixed. Now, I have the same problem on my Acer. I searched and found a page of troubleshooting Aero here, but nothing helps. I downloaded the thing Microsoft Fix It it me and through that process, but it did not work.
I looked in my settings and I seem to have all the basic requirements for it and I had it before, but now he just disappeared.
If I remember well, when this happened to my old laptop, it gave me an error when I chose the Aero theme. This time it just won't load.

Can I recover? I'll have to redownload it completely?
If so, can someone link me to a safe download?
Or something like a system restore does not work? (Which does not affect my personal files, right?)

Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  • Of Windows Aero theme does not

I know there are a lot of other posts on this subject online, but their solutions have yet to help me.  My windows Aero theme has suddenly stopped working.  I ran the store and he tells me that it is a problem of graphics, but I can still run games like 2 Troubleshooting and Minecraft very well.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6 with an AMD Radeon HD 7600 M Series and AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + double HD 7600 M graphics card.  I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the cards, but without success.  If there is anything else I can try, please let me know.  Thanks for the help.

Thank you very much for the help.  I will try your solution, but my windows eventually break I guess.  I decided just to format the hard drive and reinstall windows because it wouldn't start even in the first place.  Everything works fine now, but.  Thanks for the help.  If the problem happens again, I know where to go for help!

  • Windows 7 OS disk for the Dell Inspiron new bought at Staples?

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 1545 at Staples this weekend.  Instructions and several responses from forum help, see using my drive operating system in the event of serious misconduct.  I note, however, that none of the disks that came with the computer seem to be my drive of the Windows 7 operating system.  He has been excluded erroneously, or is my Windows 7 operating system that is included in one of the following discs, & I didn't it?

Here is what WAS in the box:

    * Dell Application - already installed on your computer: to reinstall the Dell Webcam Central software

    * Dell Application - already installed on your computer: to reinstall the software Cyberlink PowerDVD 8.2

    * Dell Drivers and Utilities - already installed on your computer: to reinstall Dell Inspiron and Dell Studio laptops software (content: device, Diagnostics and utilities drivers)

    * Dell Microsoft Works 9.0

Is my Windows 7 (emergency) software anywhere on any of these discs?

  • Blutooth 365 is not found on Dell Inspiron 1545 with upgrade to Windows 7

I had a 365 blutooth on my Dell Inspiron 1545 running in Windows Vista. I've upgraded to Windows 7, and now Windows 7 can not find it. It is activated when I pass by the system put in place... How can I find it on windows 7? When I push the button on my keyboard it turn on and off, I see the symbol but the symbol does not appear in the taskbar.

    Hi Andieb102,

Check if your bluetooth is listed in Device Manager .
If it is not, you see any exclaimation mark on this subject?
The first step I would have you to do is to run the Hardware Troubleshooter .

    Step 2:
Because the Dell 365 bluetooth adapter requires no additional software after the upgrade to Windows 7 (it should do this automatically). In the event that it fails to update itself automatically, I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth card.

Uninstall the bluetooth device manager card drivers and reinstall the same.

    To uninstall the Device Manager,

    1. click on start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
2 locate the device and expand the same.
    3. Select the bluetooth adapter, right click and select uninstall.
4 restart the computer, if prompted.

Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.

Note: Before uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager, make sure that you have a backup installation files.
    Step 3:

Sometimes, once you upgrade your operating system, some services will be disabled automatically. I would like to you can check if ' Bluetooth Support Service ' is disabled. If it is disabled, enable it.

You can find this service by going to:

    1. start
    2 Control Panel
    3. Administrative Tools
    4 services
    5. Select 'Bluetooth Support Service' and set it to automatic.

  • Problem with Dell Inspiron 1545 integrated Webcam

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with a built-in webcam. It came with Vista but I upgraded to a Windows 7 64-bit. The webcam used to work at the beginning. I don't know why but one day it stopped working and never worked more. I looked everywhere on the internet means and tried a lot of ways, and it still does not work. Device Manager identifies as "Unknown device" and identifies it as a USB Bus controller. I tried to uninstall it and always allow to detect, but it detects as unknown device. I also tried to reinstall the driver, the vista one because it doesn't have a windows 7 one. What this did was uninstall the old and tried to install a new one (which is the same). But the thing is, it does not work. He'll try to install it and then a message saying "an error has occurred in the installation of the driver" or something like that and then it does not work. I ended up having to run the system restore to recover the pilot. I tried many ways and still does not work. Even the average USB cable. I have been using a USB mouse. I even plugged the USB cable in all my USB ports and it did not work. I tried to connect is not in what either too and it does not work either. I can't even ask Dell to help cause there is nothing to support that I can get. And my drivers are all up to date. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Hi Kakikala,

    Thank you for posting.

At this point, I suggest you to contact Dell to see if the compatible device in Windows 7.

If this is the case, they must provide you with a driver that will correctly identify and install the unit.

You can also ask them if another device, like a USB joystick, needs a driver to be able to identify the material of the webcam and install it correctly.
