My Windows Live Mail won't send/receive.

I get the following message is displayed:

Can't send or receive messages on behalf of mail.btinternet.com. An incorrect password was entered. The next time that you send or receive messages, you will be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server error: 0x800CCC90
Server response:-ERR [SYS/TEMP] Server error internal (#OCF013)
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure (SSL): No.

This may be due to having some settings incorrectly set for the account, check if all people.

BTs support page - !-mail-problems%3A-error-code-0x800ccc90---client-response-invalid http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/800/~/bt-yahoo that this code (a bit old so it may be a patch somewhere) gives at least to double check.

Several parameters of BT - http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44917/~/bt-email%3A-what-are-the-settings-for-outgoing-and-incoming-mail-servers%3F

If you go to the BTs Web page for his email in your browser, can connect to your email it using the same user name and password? It will prove that BT always considers your name and password is the same as you think it is i.e. someones not hacked into and changed it.

NOTE: make note of what you change, so you can reset properly IF it does not help.

My old email BT used to sometimes fail like this, and after a while he came back. Unless this happened already for a day or two, it is best to wait until tomorrow to see if its fixed as if by magic (server problem to maybe BT?), and if its still not to ask BT on their forum as well - https://community.bt.com/t5/Email-and-Apps/ct-p/EmailandApps

  • Windows Live Mail with Googlemail - can receive but not send

    Hello

We try to access our emails from work (all transferred to googlemail) using Windows Live Mail.  I followed various tutorials and have set up new accounts on IMAP, port entering with the port 993 out 465. I made sure the right boxes are checked. Messages download fine but just won't send... I have a number now sitting in my Outbox.

I get the error message is Windows Live Mail error 0x800CCC0D, 11003 socket error

Can someone help on this please, I tried everything and am now ready to throw my computer out the window.

    Thank you

    Chrissie

Not sure if anyone is still looking for an answer to this question, but I thought I got this post just in case.

First of all... Microsoft had it wrong. You need not configure GMail as an IMAP. It is a misunderstanding that began with the introduction of Windows Mail (who said laughingly in the help files it would not work with gmail at all) the settings that I used successfully with Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail are the following.

If implemented the first use manual configuration to pop. If an already existing account setting just right click on the account name and choose Properties.

    Incoming settings:

    Name of the server: pop.gmail.com

    Port: 995

    Select: SSL

    Use clear text authentication

    The outgoing settings:

    Name of the server: smtp.gmail.com

    Port: 465

    Select: SSL

    Letter: My server requires authentication.

Note: Select SSL before you enter the port number, because by default it automatically by default (inbound/outbound of 995 25) port number.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows Live Mail - Can't send or receive

Hi, I have Windows several live accounts and it gives me problems.  I can't send or receive mail, the error message is.

Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Maureens cakes. Windows Live Mail could not open a session secure e-mail server using password authentication. Contact your e-mail provider and verify that it supports secure password authentication. To change the connection setting, in the folder list, right-click on the account name, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu. In the Properties dialog box, click on the servers tab, and then under incoming mail server, select a logon option.

    The response from the server:.
    Server: 'mail.btinternet.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC18
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 110
    Secure (SSL): No.

I checked the properties of other accounts and they are all identical as secure password authentication is unchecked, but is clear text authentication. Any ideas?  Thank you very much

  • Windows live mail will not send any photo in the library

In the Live Mail has not been able to send photos to the photo gallery for some reason any when you send a photo of the last week, he continues to try and upload the photo to locks and onedrive live mail.  Most of the time I got out of the lock by using the Task Manager, yesterday, it doesn't work either.  Had to go to my email provider and change my password and then re connect to live mail.  Same problem today so I have created a Gmail and live mail-related so I could send pictures.  I also downloaded picasa3 to manage my photos.  I'm the only one having this problem and if not what have others done.  Apparently, Microsoft does not make something to solve the problem.  Thank you

  • Windows Live Mail - Unable to send (from Windows7 64-bit machine)

Hello, I am computer technology in our office.  I have four new desktops Windows7 Pro 64-bit at the office, I try to get Windows Live Mail works on.  I can receive messages but not send mail.  I use the standard port 25 SMTP outgoing; port 110 POP3 for incoming.  The e-mail account is fine (accesscomm.ca) and have used it for years.  I get the error on the attempt to send TCP.  Just for something else to try, I used the same account settings on an HP that has Windows7 32 bit laptop and it worked fine!  So is there something specific to the 64-bit version, or is there anything else to check?  I have disabled the Windows Firewall and UAC.

Well, well, well.  I removed McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.7.0i worm and can send very well now.

  • Windows Live Mail does not send e-mail

  • Windows Live Mail will not send e-mail

How can I get my Windows Live Mail to begin to send emails again? He had been working well for years until yesterday. I get this error message:
The connection to the server has failed.

    Subject 'Test '.
    Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 10060

Thanks for your help. I found the solution on the Comcast Xfinity support page. It was just a question of the evolution of port 25 to port 465.

Apparently, they have sent messages to customers, but most of us have seen as SPAM and ignored.

Windows Live Mail error ID: 0 x 80070057
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25

I've been using Windows Live Mail for some time with Windows 7, but can rarely sort email in my "SENT" by the following folder: it works generally in the Inbox.  Today, all of a sudden I can set this column in my Inbox, but a few moments ago, I was able to sort this column in my "SENT" folder.  What is happening and how to fix it?  When I sort by TO, usually the OBJECT column gets sorted.
