My Windows Mail will not stop sending old emails. Every time I hit send/receive, it sends thousands of old emails years ago. Someone at - he never meet this.

I called my internet provider, checked all the settings.  I have spend days trying to figure this.  Have thousands of emails coming and nothing out.  I think it's to be something with Windows Mail.  Can anyone help.  Thank you

Your topic and your statement is not suitable.  Send emails and do not receive them, or is that host them and sends them not?  You say in the subject, he sends thousands, but in the statement, you say nothing and thousands coming out.

Try to go to shipping and the view box. Current view | Show all messages and remove all what it.  Then delete your account e-mail, then compact and repair the database (using www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and then see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to rule out the possibility of interference antivirus.  Then open Winmail again and add your return e-mail account and then see if it works.

If not, please describe the problem more clearly.

I have Windows Mail and put it in place to check for new messages every 10 minutes - but it does not automatically download all emails.  I have to do it manually and when I click the icon send/receive, it will not download my mail - said errors occurred, but does not list errors.  I have to use the menu drop-down and click on receive all or send all the, and the downloads of my mail. Under accounts, I have an email ACCT - pop.windstream .net, two new Accts - Microsoft Communities, and to the title of the Directory Service, there are two accounts each NULL of Active Directory and the Directory Service Internet Verisign.  Are these multiple Accts screwing things up?  They are similar, but do not know if they are, so do not know if it's okay to remove duplicates.

  • Windows Mail - does not get answers to emails

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 32-bit.

I use Windows Mail for years.  Recently when I send an email to 2 or 3 people, and one of them says to me, I do not get the answer.  I also have a Blackberry, and the answers are not there either.  By my server, I was told that the problem is Windows Mail, not them.  The provider is Cox Communications.  I was told by them do not use Windows Mail for awhile and just use the Webmail which provides the provider.  I seem to be getting all the emails there.  So it seems that Windows Mail is not attracting all the emails on the server.  When I recently sent an email to 12 people, I had answers to this email.  So it seems to be the No. 2 beneficiary or 3 it's a problem, and it is not always the same 2 or 3 recipients and each has a different server!  Yikes!  How the difficulties push it?

    Thanks for your help!

I read a little in this forum about Windows Live.  Think I'll wait a few days and maybe try that, unless someone here comes up with another fix.

BTW, I have for some time had an gmail account.  I had that when I got my first smart phone a few months ago.  I had the worst problems with it with my email.  So I switched to the BlackBerry, and this problem came.  Think I'll go back to the cans and a string.

Thanks for the answers and the help!

  • Windows Mail will not export Emails my folder

Hello. I am trying to export my emails from Windows Mail, so I can import them to another program. I did, however when I looked the imported emails, I realized Windows Mail did not export the folder 'My email'. It has exported all other standard folders such as Inbox, deleted items etc. I tried just to export the folder 'My email', however I just had an empty folder. Any ideas? Thank you.

Can I assume that the "My email" folder is the one you created? What is the other email program you want to move them in? If it's an another e-mail client, try this.

To create a Windows folder on the desktop from the old machine.
    * Open a file in WinMail and drag the messages into the folder on the desktop. (They will remain in WinMail.)
To copy this folder on the desktop on the new machine.
Open the folder and drag the messages to a folder in the new e-mail program.

  • Windows Mail is not properly all my email collection

Windows Mail is not properly collecting all my email - some messages show only an empty folder. I can identify the messages affected through my ISP and send them to myself, but it's really annoying and doesn't always work.  I was hoping it was a temparary glitch, but it happened for weeks. Can someone tell me how to prevent it. Thank you very much in anticipation.

  • Windows Mail will not import files from old account OE DBX, all patches?

Hi, I looked at other issues here but they don't seem to work as I have more access to OE.

Basically, the computer crashed and OE does not open. No problems with the e-mail address that I opened Outlook and organized the emails to come by here.

However, having identified the OE store folder (now saved on the desktop), I can't raise the old emails.

Tried to import via Outlook in a different folder, however no joy because it only allows me to select the folder.

Tried to import in Thunderbird - no joy.

Found that Windows Live Mail allows you to import the DBX and had little joy with it, but not much. WLM import only new emails that had not been read could be read. Tried to make individual DBX files and each of them at the same time, but do not show them.

When WLM downloads the file it indicates how many e-mail are in there, (258 sent items) but never present themselves.

    Any suggestions please?

    David

Most of the problems with OE not starting not not are due to corruption of (hidden) folders.dbx.  Try to delete this (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#7) and then see if OE will start.  If this isn't the case, then move all the message store dbx files and then must start OK.  Then you can try to use file | Import | Messages, point to the directory to which you moved your dbx files, but if folders.dbx is corrupt they won't import.  Yes, you can try the method described here: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1 to manually import dbx files into OE.  Then you can get them in Outlook or WLM after having done this.  If dbx files will not even import, you can extract what content they maintain with my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/).

  • Windows mail will not 'send' why not?

I use windows mail (delivery non-living) as a back-up for Hotmail (as 'things' will not send via Hotmail).

until recently, it worked ok, now - nothing (I can compose emails, look at what's already there etc, but sending, nope).

This seems to have become a problem since I installed ie9 (last weekend) which, in itself, was a problem that caused a breakdawn Ebay, so I had to go back to ie8 via system restore, and then upgrade ie9 in (Ebay is happy now!)

I'm not a 'grumpy' but have just released / back in my gmail ADDRESS in the little 'account' of W.mail still no-go

    -am now TOTALLY stuck! Help

  • Windows mail will not send mail

I haven't had any problem send and receive emails with Windows mail up to what a few days ago.

I get the error message is 0x800CCC0F.

It's a simple mail without an attachment file.

I even downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail, but it's the same thing, cannot send emails.

    I get emails OK.

I move in [send] mail [project] and click on [send all] and it goes all right, but when I have something in the Outbox, and then it crashes and receive the same error 0x800CCC0F.

Because Windows Live Mail application has failed, I guess that even if I overwright install the OS, which is Vista, it probably does not work...

    Have a question there?

    Your help is very grateful

Disable the anti-virus software and check if that helps.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Windows XP will not stop with service pack 3

Several months ago I installed service pack 3 for Windows XP.  From as soon as possible, the system would block when I'm going to stop it.  The only cure (for a novice like me) was to put the computer manually.  Sometimes, maybe once every 15 - 20 times, the system shuts down normally.

I lived with it, but it's very boring, so I went to remove the program from the service pack 3 today, and the system does not allow deletion.  So my question is:
    1. is there a way for me to solve this problem when windows will not be stopped?  , or,
    2. is there a way for me to remove service pack 3?

    Thanks for your help!

At some point, this computer had McAfee and Norton.

The foregoing notwithstanding, Norton and McAfee applications are notorious for not to uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. "Leftovers" can be the cause of your problems:

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

1B. download the tool McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. double-click on the file that you saved in # 1 a above, to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    4. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    5. double-click on the file that you saved in # 1 b above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then reboot once again.

=> Did you get SP3 installed again and is the computer fully patched to Windows Update (including the most recent update root certificates)?

Extended support for WinXP SP2 ends July 10, 2010. After this date, the computers running under that WinXP SP2 will NOT be offered for additional updates of critical security, automatic updates do not work, and site Web Windows Update won't be available until SP3 is installed.
