my windows xp does not start and it only shows the arrow and a black screen in the Middle, what can I do to solve this problem.

Try to restart your machine and pressing F8 before the spash screen Windows appears.  Choose the option "last last known good configuration".

If this fails, you can try to repair your installation of starting for the original CD-ROM for Windows XP installation and choosing the option 'Fix' when prompted.

  • Windows Vista does not start upward, with success since the closure complete

    Hello world

I actually had this problem for a long time, but I'm just now to a point where I'm ready to take a lead in fixing it.

I can't identify when it started, but Windows Vista does not start upward, with success of a full stop. He gets to the screen where, in general, the green bars will travel across the screen, but the green bars will not come. The screen looks dim and sits there, with the text of the copyright of Microsoft Corporation. So, after not having on the mound, I have to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button. When I try to start again, told me to go through the Startup Repair tool. If I jump the repair, I just have to meet the same problem - a computer that will not go beyond the screen "green bar".

So, I do the Startup Repair, and told me what I do for the restoration of the system. Windows starts normally after the restoration.

Don't forget, this happens from a full stop. To remedy this, I just never completely shut down my computer. I left running and back just at the beginning of the day. The computer may start restart, it just may not start with a full stop.

Given the start of repair takes, literally, around 4 or 5 hours of full stops complete, accidental or power outages are a nightmare, I am obliged to wait 5 hours to get access to the computer. Fortunately, I have my laptop.

If someone has encountered this? I saw people talking about the loop of startup repair, but that's not the point, I have. I have yet to see any discussion of my specific problem.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Wil Windows 7 does not start and is not able to solve the problem

    Hello

I tried several things at this stage. I have a Toshiba that windows is not able to solve the problem on its own when starting. InsydeH20 BIOS, I have ensured that the system must start using the HARD disc as shown.

When the problem started he said that the problem could have been caused due to a media device may have been connected to the computer and that Windows could not fix the problem automatically. I was then able to enter the menu to try to do a system restore; It did not work. From that moment, I opened windows to use the F8 key and was able to start using the corrupted files, but now after a update tried to install all I get is a black screen with a white line of underscore flashing in the top left of my screen.

I downloaded an ISO file for Windows 7 from my other laptop and was able to boot from there to get to the point where I would be able to try a system restore, use the prompt, etc., but even once it is not solved the problem.
At some point, the screen showed that there is a cable that is not connected or something, I don't not entered all of this, but I do not know how to check this part of it. Could someone please give me direction from here to what I can do?

    Thank you

    > However now after a tried update install all I get is a black screen with a white flashing line of underscores in the upper left corner of my screen.

This is a typical symptom for a faulty HARD drive.
I had the same cursor blinking in the upper left corner and finally I could solve this problem using the new HARD disk.

This happens if the portable computer is trying to boot from LAN. This happens because the OS on the HARD drive is not bootable, and this happens especially if the HARD drive is malfunctioning

  • Designjet 111 does not start prinring or stops in the Middle

    Hello

I recently bought a designjet 111. The first page I printed (linedrawings) came out perfectly, the second page, I tried (linedrawings + a few pictures) the printer no longer starts.

Now, I have the same problem: the printer just will not start. I tried to turn my laptop and printer, changed USB ports, off the sign 'offline',... nothing seems to work.

Then all of a sudden it started printing (not sure what I did differently), but stopped after 5 centimeters, drove from the page and cut it. I tried again and then print 30 centimetres and stopped. Now, it does not print at all.

    What can I do?

OK, problem solved by changing the usb cable to the laptop.

Have you removed any spyware or Trojans?

Question you is really, really strange, and I guess that the 'bad' software causes such problems...

  • Installed new module memory for laptop, found original was bad, while windows Vista does not start by going blank after the "status bar".

I have a Windows Vista running on a Sony VIAO laptop and has been updated with level 3 to 4 GB of memory. During the memory test, I found that 2 GB of original module was bad and replace it with the new 2 GB module end back where I started with 3 GB. However, Windows starts only at a little past the rectangle with 3 points moving ("State Bar"?) and them it goes to black and the desktop never appears. I tried to roll back to the last working version of Windows settings, but always the same results.

What can I do now? Is there a way to check and fix disk errors?  Is it possible to install Windows XP Pro or I have to go to Windows 7.  I even has System Mechanic Pro running on this laptop and it did help some casued the problem. It's as if the disc is damaged for some reason any.  Only with Vista felt this helpless.

It seems to me that the new memory you have installed is bad or incompatible with the system.  First, remove all chips and reinstall them and then try to make sure that they are correct and secure again - don't just press them in place, effectively remove and the replacement and make sure they are in the right direction.

Boot from the Installation of Windows Vista genuine disc (or you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc with recovery options included in this topic. If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD (perhaps made on another computer, or perhaps in SafeMode with network if it does not - that would be a good sign if it is true). You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.  Select recovery options and follow the instructions until you see the menu.  Once there, select the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and run it and see what it says.  If it detects problems (and I suspect it might), you may need to replace the new chip memory.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try other options.

    Good luck!

  • Partition Windows 10 does not start after you have created the new internal drive

    I'm running OS X 10.11.2.

I have set up a training camp 10 Windows on my Macbook Pro sometime ago, but today I realized that I need more storage. I watched how do so online and came across this thread:How to resize my bootcamp partition without deleting chtol. I followed the instructions, but could not know how do I find my Windows partition.

So I think that I have the problem described here: repair Boot Camp after having created the new partition. I did what Christopher Murphy described on the first page and this error message appeared when I pressed "w ":

"Failed to open device ' / dev/disk0 ' for writing! Errno is 1! Writing of abandonment! »

I deleted from the extra without internal hard drive name in the hope that he'll fix it, but it didn't.

I would like to enlarge my Windows partition, but at this point, as long as I can access my Windows Bootcamp partition, that would be great!

EDIT: I unfortunately do not back to the time Machine.

Resizing Windows partitions is not officially supported by Apple - Boot Camp: resize the Windows partition .

When I connect to windows update, the page becomes white and everything continues to load.  I can't start in safe mode to run all the patches.  I also have an annoying problem of svchost that takes more than 90% of my memory.  I ran every virus known to man program... MalwareBytes, Kaspersky, ESET, to name a few and they all say that my computer is clean.  I am running windows xp pro service pack 3.

    Hi Bopatop,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
