My wireless Microsoft of the ergonomic 7000 keyboard does not receive a good signal.

I used the Microsoft Natural Wireless ergonomic keyboard 7000 a few years ago. Several months ago, I noticed that it ws become numb sometimes. As if the receiver was not picking up anything. I would be typing away and notice that nothing appeared on the screen. Then suddenly, a messy confusion of what I typed would seem all at once. With some missing characters, some repeated several times and strange spacing.

I ran all kinds of virus and malware checks that some thing was not slow down my system up to the point where the receiver could ' t keep up. But everything went well. And I have MS Security Essentials run continuously. Finally, I realized just the keyboard was old and bad functioning. So, although I preferred, I went to the MS Wireless Laser Kayboard 6000. That worked fine but I've always preferred ergonomic one.

Recently, I was given another keyboard ergonomic 7000 I had actually given to a family member when I got mine, but she never used. So even if it is the age of the SME, it has never been used. And immediately the problems returned when I started to use this one instead. I tried to use it with the old man and the receiver, the one that came with the other. This isn't a specific hardware problem.

I use Windows 7 64-bit and for the record, the mouse seems to have no problems. Just the keyboard.

Whatt could be the cause? It seems he MAY have started when Windows Update has installed the latest driver for it (the same driver who replaced programs where you may affect both the special keys on the keyboard and the mouse and change the speed of scrolling, etc. with the TERRIBLE new program that is not as easy to use.) So is it possible to go back to the previous driver IntelliType?

Upgrade from Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit window Ult 64 bit. Line of keyboard under func keys works not just if online using Windows Explorer, Firefox Safari n - numbers don't work - some type; other type letter k; with the SHIFT key, signs and symbols, type anything. I can get the numbers of t using my keypad and numlock. I have tried 3 keyboards.  One was a Microsoft USB 4000 ergonomic keyboard brand new and it had the same problems.  My keyboard USB wireless transmitter had the problem too.  All have the same problem. The keys are correct by using Word, Wordpad, etc.. Quick test repetition key online as well as the keys were all ok then.

This started happening immediately after I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate.  I use a desktop HP Pavilion a6667c with 8 GB of RAM and the latest updates available for windows ultimate.   The problem occurred before and after the upgrade to service pack 1.   I noticed other people on the web posting on this problem too.    I got no error message when using Vista Home Premium 64-bit version and had installed all the latest updates him as well.

The only solution I found to this problem is to build me a small table of characters and symbols, I can't do it, and sticking them in when I am online using one of the three browsers I use most often.   I looked at my keyboard settings and changed back and forth between American and British English British without any result.

I'll post my problem of keyboard on HP forums as well.   Thanks for any help anyone can give me or leads.   Somewhere, I think that it is a simple problem to solve, but I searched and searched and browsed and traveled for several days to find a lot of people who have this type of keyboard problem, but no solution yet.

I was able to solve the problem on my computer Microsoft Vista but uninstalling constant guard I had downloaded and installed with free Norton from Comcast. I got this tip on another thread and after followinging their advice, I was free to use my line of numbers/symbols of the keys even once! I was able to close my copy of the email and the character or symbol and the last sheet in Word.

  • Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless n and the F8 function key does not show

Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless works sometimes, but mostly not. Wired connection is ok. When does not not Fn 8 does not appear and the wireless card does not appear in the devices.
    Pilot was handed in place.

Have tried reset default and many other things - yesterday was working - light today and not...

    Help!

    Hello

If the wireless network adapter does not work or its lack in the device, the FN + F8 key combination Manager would not work.
So the problem is your wireless network card.

The WLan card driver is missing or malfunctioning of the WiFi chip.
The device uses the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
Have you installed the chip RTL8188CE WLan driver?
    Make sure what you've done!

Otherwise, if the WLan card is not listed in the Manager (no unknown device or Ethernet controller) devices marked with yellow exclamation point I guess that the module is faulty.

I recently had a few separate issues with my computer and technology at Geek Squad did some work cleaning on my PC for best performance and to get rid of a bad program.  I am running Vista SP2.

On my keyboard, there are a series of buttons on the top which opens to different folders, or programs.  I had to open Excel and open Word.  The others are default Media Player, email, IE 8, My Documents and my pictures.  Everything worked correctly and opened the program folder / to, before cleaning.  Now mail, IE 8, and Media Player buttons still work, but others did not.  However if I open the Microsoft Keyboard program buttons become functional and remain so until I restart the computer. The keyboard works fine otherwise.  Y at - it a boot option which can have been withdrawn inadvertently during the cleaning process, which is the cause and if so how can I have reconstitute?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi BCfromKY,

To test the response of the keys on the keyboard, use the Microsoft keyboard Diagnostics (MS Key), a utility program that is included with the Microsoft IntelliType software. To use MS Key, follow these steps.

Note the MS key utility is only supplied with the version of the Microsoft IntelliType 1.1 and later versions. If you do not have Microsoft IntelliType installed, you can visit the following Microsoft Web site to install this software:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK)

Start Microsoft Keyboard Diagnostics. To do this, use one of the following methods:

    a. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories and then click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type mskey and then click OK.

    c. If you get no response in MS Key on your keyboard, test the keyboard on another computer. If the keyboard does not work on another computer, see the "Références" section for more information on how to contact Microsoft Supplemental parts to get a replacement.

  • my wireless keyboard does not work on the letter and number keys.

It seems to be connected to the computer, because it does not work on the control button and snooze sound

    Hello

-Have you made any recent hardware / software changes prior to this question?

-What is the brand and model of wireless keyboard?

Method 1: run the hardware troubleshooter.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2: update a hardware driver that is not working properly

    (a) open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and security, and then, under system, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    (b) in the list of hardware categories, find the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
    (c) click on the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3: resynchronize your device with the receiver

To resynchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, follow these steps.

Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard le clavier with the receiver, place the device near the receiver and store other keyboards and wireless mouse at least 6 feet.
    1. press the button on the receiver and check that the light on the receiver starts flashing.
Note Some newer devices from Microsoft are subject to their receiver and cannot be reset. If your device has a button, go to method 2.
    2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
    3. press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
    4. check the green light on the receiver. A continuous green light means that the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 to 4.
    5. for the Wireless Notebook Mouse: this issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a PIN or pen to try to release the button, if it is pressed.

    Hope this information helps.

Keyboard does not work.  Does not enter any data.  Battery is good, the wireless signal is good.  Tested on another computer and does not work there either.  Tried to uninstall, reinstall and checked for driver updates. Original installation disk is incompatible with Windows 7.  Message says device is working, but the keyboard is "dead."

    Appreciate the suggestions, pls.  TX

Not a good sign that it does not work on another computer. Go to control panel > devices and printers. If the keyboard doesn't appear as an installed device, think of it as dead and buried.

Windows identifies devices of small IC boards inside the devices and guess they are ok. Windows cannot do is determine if the keyboard membrane makes contact with the small IC Board...

  • HP Pavilion g7-1365dx: wireless keyboard does not work.

I have a combination and connected mouse microsoft wireless keyboard to my laptop.  The mouse recently 'died' and replace the batteries with new Energizer batteries did not help.  I bought a new Logitech mouse and installed the new USB connector and the mouse worked flawlessly.  However, the wireless keyboard does not work now.  If I reinstall the 'old' or the original USB, the wireless keyboard connector works fine.  The new mouse does not work with the original USB connector.  So now I have two USB connectors that are connected to the computer to make the functional keyboard and mouse.  Is there a solution to eliminate one of the USB connectors?  I realize that the brand of the mouse and keyboard are different.  This is the problem and if so can it be fixed?

    Hi ECJ-10,

Well, you answered your question yourself. They are different products, so you need 2 USB receivers.

The alternative is to get a replacement of microsoft mouse if it is still under warranty, they usually do.

    Hope this helps.
