  I had a problem with my Macbook Air early 2015 since nearly a month. I freeze random OS experience (I'm under OS X El Capitan 10.11.4): the cursor moves and the keyboard is unresponsive, so I can't do anything at all. The only thing I can do to "unlock", it requires the laptop to restart (by turning manually him off and then back on). This problem occurs more or less one or two times a week and I didn't notice a particular task or request that I am running that may cause the gel.   I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro R850-15F who gave me four years in refurbished condition and so it is quite old.
  I have recently installed Windows 10 and things seemed to work very well.

  However, last week, I noticed that at least once a day my laptop freezes randomly and immediately the internal fan accelerates, becomes much stronger and a cold air. Whenever this happens, I turned off the laptop and turn it back on it.

  After that, it works normally again until the next time it freezes. I don't know anything about computer hardware, but I suspect that it is a problem of series and I wanted to get some advice in case my laptop is close to dying.

  If anyone has any help or advice or suggestions to solve the problem, then I would be extremely grateful if you would contact me.

  I bought this MacBook on the Apple store online a year ago, and I must say it has been a very reliable machine up to now. It starts way faster that any laptop I have ever used before.

  However, recently to update my OS on the 10.11.4 version, my screen freezes randomly. The keyboard and trackpad are both unresponsive.  Closing the cover does nothing either, since the macbook won't sleep normally as it would be. The only solution I had was to hold down the power button to force it to close.  This has been extremely frustrating and made me lose valuable data too.  I ran the Diagnostics of Apple and the only error seems to be the battery issue. It has been said, however, that it should not affect the performance of the computer.

  Hey, I bought the same macbook 6 months ago, the macbook had several recurring problems, graphic and audio glitches, what happened was, sometimes (for watching movies, or playing games) the screen went black with a red line on the left side of the screen, then after 2-3 seconds screen is returned to normal, and then there was a glitch-audio distortion that attaches after 10 seconds - 1 min.

  Another thing is, I had a battery problem when running the diagnostics, whenever I gave it to them they said oh "battery is ok, sometimes the tests fail," my argument? If the tests fail how do you rely on them...

• A1107 Power Down/freezing randomly

  Hi all, I have a growing problem with my Tablet A1107 ICS running.  It turns off randomly and it was get worse gradually, first few and far between from past but 30% to 50% and now 80% and more often.  It seems also to freeze randomly, usually while charging but not always. [Edit]  The gel seems to occur more often in other standby mode.

  I'm handy and ingenious with research and have spent countless hours in research that has led to a few helps out.  Here's what I've tried so far.  The first being the cleaning my system resources thinking too much running at the time was draining the system and overload it.  It certainly helped the system as it works much more fluid and effective today, but both problems persist.  I tried a full factory reset via recovery mode and it looked good for a while (perhaps a day at most) but the problem arises again.  The last method, I'm still in the middle of, but I don't have much hope, forever I will present anyway.  It uses airplane mode since I do not use this device on a network, only on Wifi and the intelligence unit was a big eater of enormous resources for this reason.  I read a lot of messages to other devices claiming that this their caused problems so I thought I'd give it a try.

  Anyway, that's my conundrum, and I would greatly appreciate any help.  Thank you!

  [Edit]  Confirmed, flight Mode has absolutely no good.  It turned off this time with more than 90% battery life.  Help please, this problem becomes seriously annoying.

  I bought December ' 07 7742-CTO. It has Nvidia Quadro NVS 140 m, preloaded with XP Pro. Now that it is out of warranty, it has started to freeze randomly.   No one answered, but the problem is solved. The R61 has thermal problems. I installed ThinkPad Fan Control, which is a part of 3rd freeware utility and to keep the Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU in reasonable time. Freeze either. Don't know why Lenovo stock in place was not able to avoid overheating, but the laptop is solid as a rock now.
