If you decide to try one last thing, here are a few general tips:

When you have a problem with a particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clear your browser cache and delete your cookies for the site.

    (1) delete the Cache of Firefox

See: How to clear the cache of Firefox. If you have a large hard drive, this may take a few minutes.

    (2) remove the cookies from the site (waiting for work save first). While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try to reload the page and sign in again. Who help me?

  • Address-home page/search bar will not save

    Hi people!

I tried to change my homepage and my search from the address bar of the SmartPage, but whenever I restart Firefox, won't save the settings and I'm back to my old home page. I have tried several strategies:

    (1) I first tried to set the home page under 'Options', but would not save the homepage.

    (2) I then tried to change under "subject: config ' and changing the lines"browser.startup.homepage"both"keyword.url ". The changes worked for this session, but restart Firefox would return lines to their previous settings

    (3) I then tried to directly edit the lines "browser.startup.homepage" & "keyword.url" from the prefs.js file and resave. Once Firefox is closed, however, the prefs.js file would go back.

    (4) I then tried to change the file prefs.js with the new settings, save on my desktop and after closing Firefox, replace the prefs.js file in the Mozilla folder with that on the desktop. The strange thing was when I copy & paste the file prefs.js Office to the Mozilla folder and opened then the file was rewritten for the old settings, even if the file on the desktop still had the new settings.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I went online to get suggestions and tried to open the computer in Mode safe to look for a second file with the same name, but it does not appear. The malware Taskeng.exe turn away from my Firefox at Yahoo homepage which slows down Firefox when opening and it slows the opening of other sites as well. Suggestions?

  • Firefox home page search and click right options does not.

After updating Firefox hoping to increase the speed of response, I have found that a right click on a web page address does a menu appear much longer than before, which is correct, but now none of these options seem to work. 'Open the link in a new tab' does not work, nothing happens. Similarly, 'Copy link location' does not work, or 'copy image' for the photos. Also my Firefox home page, which is a search for Firefox, not working, when a search item is entered and 'Search' clicked, the entry disappears and nothing else happens. To get here to ask for help, I had to enter www.google.com on the FF browser address line and then use Google search to access these pages in support of Mozilla. I since started Firefox in safe mode without success by allowing these features disabled. I've also updated Firefox once more without success, no change except my Menu bar disappeared. What can I do to revive these features disabled? I don't want to not risk losing my bookmarks.

    Thank you!

Uninstall it and reinstall brought the right click functions with the original, much smaller and fortunately preserved inscription my favorites.

  • Why firefox changed yahoo home page. Now different from IE

For some reason any Yahoo homepage which I always use has been changed on Firefox. On IE, it's the good old home page that I not only like but was used to. I prefer Firefox as my browser but want to the Yahoo homepage back regular. Any ideas?

The left one looks like a 'mobile' simplified layout. It could be that one of your Yahoo cookies that Firefox is sending to the site has a preference for this layout. Private Windows having a separate set of cookies, which would be consistent with the results of your test.

You want to try to clear all cookies from your Yahoo to see if that fixes it? First, save all work in progress such as the draft e-mail messages. While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Menu Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, yahoo.com should show at the top. You can delete cookies from the site individually, without affecting other sites.

Then try to reload the page. Who help me?

  • Home page search is not working / not Possible to restore the previous Session

After the last update (version 29), the home page of default Firefox search bar has been completely non-functional. If I hit enter or press search, nothing happens. Another (possibly related) problem is that the button 'Restore previous Session' is never present. I can also restore the previous session by clicking on the option of history (it is always grayed out).

When you look to the top How to start safe mode, I discovered how to reset Firefox to its default value of the plant. I did it and Voila! Problem solved.

  • Since the restart of Firefox, I get advertisements on my Yahoo home page, that I didn't have before.

I restarted Firefox, because my Yahoo mail did not work well. He refused to let me pick up the mail. Restart fixes this problem, but now I have annoying ads on my homepage from Yahoo that I didn't have before.

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
