Name of the Contact to blackBerry Smartphones don't be displayed not only the locked phone

When someone call me if BB 9700 phone is unlocked, phone number and contact name is displayed and I know who is calling.

If the phone is locked, only the phone number is displayed. Hard to know who is calling.

This problem appears after I upgraded to OS5 OS6.

Could you help me?

Thank you in advance.

1. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no
* If you don't see it here, your device operating system handles this differently. Look at the Options > Security > encryption.

2. go to Options on your device > Security Options > encryption > include contacts the value 'No '.

  • HELP - MY BRAND NEW BLACKBERRY TORCH 9860 JUST blackBerry smartphones DON'T have LOAD not

    I did the battery pull

The charge im using is a USB/adapter supplied with the phone

I need support which can be maintained - I can do which will ensure that the problem does not happen again?

I lost contact with everyone for the entire day by phone because of this problem

I am now very angry and disappointed because my 8520 gave me a much better service

    What should I do?

    Hi Kitz2,

Put your device connected to the charger taken wall, not the PC USB charger.
Leave it connected for 24 hours or more and every 3 hours check your device, press and hold power only for about 20 seconds. He will seize time boot, but first must reach a certain level of support.

You can see the flashing red and maybe yellowish and perhaps a symbol on screen "no battery". This means that the battery is discharged, but she needs to reach a certain load before you turn.

If it is a new device and still warranty then you can consider to return the unit to the retailer.

  • 9810 blackBerry smartphones don't have load not

Hello, I had trouble loading my 9810. When I plug my phone into the charger bolt does not show up on top of the battery, instead I get the usb on the battery symbol. I have to keep unplugging and then plugging my phone and after several tries the bolt comes and it starts to charge my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like the USB port is damaged, and that's why it does not load. It is possible, it can be temporarily fixed by bending down to where it is supposed to be, but it is definitely damaged. It may be a good idea to talk to your carrier and see if they will cover under warranty.

  • 9790 blackBerry smartphones don't have load not (new unpacking)

Tried to read all the forums. But it will not load. No laptop or the wall charger. No red light no lights, nothing. It has been 2 hours up to now, can I have a problem with the battery of the phone? I've never had this problem with my Curve 8520 when it was brand new, I just plugged into the wall, and allume turned on at the same time, then let it charge overnight.

Is this a fault with all the bold, I saw this question posted many times, but usually for a phone that has been used quite a bit.

HMM. SOLVED. For the time being?

    WHAT I DID:

Took the cover on the back, put my nail between the bottom of the phone and battery and battery pushed up so that the top of the stack was closer to the top of the phone/the battery connector terminals. There his work, lit so far and its load. I hope this isn't a design defect where this problem will be back often. Design defect being that there are too many game/room where the battery in the phone that it loses its close connection to the terminals. Will transfer if anything else develops. For now, I'll turn off let it load for the day before I turned again to continue setting up and move my 8520 to it.

  • BROWSER blackBerry smartphones don't DO NOT WORK

This is getting quite frustrating. I get that cannot connect to the server, please try again error and it takes forever to get even the google home page to load. What should I do?

OK thanks... you came very close to what I need... except just saying 'mistake' in regard to music downloads... but, any...

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you need to get in touch with your service provider and insist that they honor the formal support that they are contractually required to provide you with. Do not let you fob before having 100% solved the situation. If they tell you to contact RIM, don't let them not on the hook, then either... insist that they tell you exactly how you should contact RIM. If they say anything OTHER that they will increase you rim (for example, if they tell you to independently seek the support of the RIM), and then accept it. Only through an escalation of your service provider can you receive all official support from RIM.

Looks like they have made significant changes to their network... and they must ensure that their paying customers will continue to receive the services that they pay.

    Good luck!

    Dear all,

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

It could be one of the four solutions... Try these, (the path to the settings may vary on your torch):

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I display my name during the SENDING of SMS on 9300?

It seems to have ticked all the boxes, I can find regarding 'Full name' but my 9300 3 still insists on sending messages just text using the text number and displays NOT my name as the sender of the text - why?  My friends need to know that the text is of me!

I have no problem with email - which contains my e-mail address, what has my name in it.

Grateful for any help here because I am a new user.

This is not possible - your friends need to have your number in their address book with your name to show him from you, when they receive a text.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

    1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
    2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
      • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

    Good luck!

  • Problem of restore contacts backup blackBerry Smartphones

I recently changed jobs and so Exchange Microsoft Outlook facilities, servers, etc..  I had a number of personal contacts in my Blackberry "BOLD" I wanted to keep in this transition period.  I used the Blackberry Desktop software on my Windows 7 PC to create a number of backup files in my Blackberry.  Then I reset the Blackberry and set up to talk to my new employer's e-mail server.  The new email works fine, but I can't restore my old contacts (I want to bring into my phone and the new perspective).

I tried using the option 'Restore data from a Backup file' in the menu select device in the Blackberry Desktop Software, then using the data device and settings (I only attempt to restore the option "Address Book - All").  When I do that, I get a dialog box with the warning, "your current data will be overwritten."  I click Yes to continue.  Then, I get a message of restoration (it shows the file name and the path for my backup that points to my old backup file).  However, when I check my contacts, they aren't there.  It was only the only contact I entered my new installation of Outlook (I think it must be sync to Outlook).

Does anyone have a solution to restore my contacts?  Failiing this, is there a utiility that will allow me to see the contact information stored in the backup file?  I can re - key it (ugh), if I can get a no binary version to read.

go to the options - advanced options-, then service book, find where it says desktop [sync] and delete it, now go and try to restore your contacts once you have done this, go to see if it worked if she did so great back the book location service support that the menu button and tap on restore to bring the desktop [sync].

  • Contacts of blackBerry Smartphones will not fully Synch

Just replace my steam-Office Outlook 2007 to Outlook Express 2000 w that I would send contacts compatible with my new Smartphone 9700 Bold (my 1st blackberry, replacing a really ancient mobile). The names and in some cases e-mail addresses of my Outlook contacts migrate to the handset very well - but nothing else: no phone numbers, nothing. And when I try to do the reverse - manually enter the address/phone no., etc., in the handset, the new information does NOT migrate in Outlook Contacts my laptop - even if it shows there during the synchronization process.  I use the Desktop Manager 4.3.0.17, as the other posts on this forum suggest that supports Outlook 2007.

No other problems with this - emails making the handset very well.

The only other variable I can think of, is that when I installed the new Outlook I imported my old contacts in a pst file - but most of these contacts were really rudimentary, mostly only have addresses e-mail. I've been updated manual my files from my old filofax, scraps of paper stuffed in shoe boxes - you get the idea...

I am a UK user, btw.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

DTM 4.3.0.17 while reports compatible with Outlook 2007, you would be wise to update DTM to the latest version (5.0.1.28), especially if you have a BB much newer than your version of DTM. Indeed, given what you have described, I would advise a clean boot above. Here is a procedure:

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, under Vista/Win7, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

    (3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

    • KB17022 How to configure applications to Organizer for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!
