Name of wrong version in Blackberry World

Hi all

I use blackberry-apkpackager for packaging apk-> bar.

Original manifest.XML has two fields defined for the version:

(example)

Android: versionCode = "14".
Android: versionName = "1.30.0.

After conditioning the "manifest. MF' has two meanings:

Package version: 1.0.14.0

Application version: 1.0.14.0

Of course, after the signing and deployment of Blackberry World, the application (using the sandbox) shows

Version: 1.0.14.0

Question 1: How can I show him 1.30.0?

I am using only using tools BB10 (Beta) and therefore cannot rely on eclipse although eclipse has not helped

I've seen people mention .lsv files but I can't get these. Where is the documentation for that?

My last resort is to decompress the .bar after conditioning, change the "manifest. MF", compress the return .bar file, by signing and pushing into the world of Blackberry.  Someone has an idea better?

What about android.cfg? Cannot find documentation for this one also

I am also happy to use m or - my swithces to the blackberry apkpackager but don't have the docs for this too RIM please give us some documents...

I found the solution.

Thanks to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18646464/new-blackberry-app-world-error-bar-manifest-file-package...

Quote:

"Obviously something has changed in the BlackBerry tools. Try to set the application android:versionName attribute to a value of 4 parts (like 3.1.0.1 ). BlackBerry has always used this format (major.minor.micro.build) for native applications. It seems that, at least that your Android manifest has the same format, creation of BlackBerry tools fail to analyze the versionName attribute and use a downturn"

That's exactly what happened in my case. The android: versionName used major.minor.micro and bbtools then returned to android: versionCode to produce something completely useless

Still, I'd like to see some documents on this...

  • Impossible to see relies on BlackBerry World

We downloaded a version in the BlackBerry world a few nights ago and can't seem to download it to a device. We did the following:

    (1) signed the file bar. According to the "blackberry-sign-check tool" it is signed.
    (2) downloaded the version on the portal provider in draft mode.
    (3) set the mode of development on the device and consulted the menu BBW app developer.

We do not see our application listed when you enter the name of the product or the Product ID in the search box.

Y at - it a step that we might miss?

Some research on the forums suggested that this is a period of 24 hours before versions becomes visible. Anyone can shed some light on that for us?

We have followed these steps exactly and are unable to see our product.

    http://devBlog.BlackBerry.com/2013/01/BlackBerry-payment-services-sandbox/

I don't know if that makes a difference, but this UI has a button called 'Content Test' instead of 'Charge' as in the screenshots of the blog post. We run OS 10.2 beta on our devices.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Another technician helped us in the meantime. The fix was to create a new ID BB, add it to our sandbox, and we were good to go.

    Thank you all.

  • No Skype app in the Blackberry world

I can't the Skype app in the Blackberry world. Not even when you use the search option. I get other applications that contain the word Skype, but not the official Skype app.

When I try to install it from the Skype website, it brings me to a page of the application, but the download is not possible. The error tells me something on my connection, but is not the real cause. When I followed the link on my laptop, I get an error that there is no app id.

Hi, SkyBerry, and welcome to the Skype community,

Skype for BlackBerry OS 10.x is now available for download from the BlackBerry of the Amazon AppStore version.

    Kind regards

  • BlackBerry Q10 Q10 of Blackberry and Blackberry World

    Good afternoon

A little problem and I hope someone could help please.

Currently, I have a BB Q10, a recent purchase to complete my BB9900, but seem to have problems with the BB world. When I enter the world of BB, then My World it appears under the heading my Apps and games 11 updates available. When I enter this show only 5 and on the choice of installation, they install correctly. This is identified that the update matches the installed version. Once installed, the number preceding 11 remains and increases every time there is an update as indicated updates 5!

Is there anyway to clear updates five illustrated both the eleven pages available updates please?

I tried settings, general, update Blackberry World all to nothing does not.

    Thank you.

I should have named do nothing as one of the paths forward. And it's a perfectly valid decision. If you can tolerate the question and wait and see if it corrects itself, it's what I would do.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry world carousel

    Dear BlackBerry,

First of all, you have published a how-to 'get you the App on the BlackBerry World carousel'.

Then you submitted an application flashlight:

During the last weeks, you have been endowed with a game called 'AA '. In fact, it is listed twice, the freedom and the paid version.

A few days ago, you featured a paid app 'search for Google' with obviously fake reviews of a single word.

Today, you have a 'Lock & Go' section in the carousel.

There are Android ports (LastPass, SplashID), 2 stars, applications (Citrix Receiver), a few abandoned applications in 2013 (uPass, KeePass for BlackBerry), and even a joke app (lock of finger scanning).

My app, KeePassB, used to be in this list too - when he was an Android port. Now, it is a native Built for BlackBerry app with excellent reviews and companies asking for volume licenses.

Guess what? It is not listed.

I guess I'm missing the point here.

    Are you featuring only crapps?

    WTF, BlackBerry?

P.S. This diatribe is made public since no one at BB seem to read/answer emails more...

    @anmipo

Sorry to hear about your frustrations about this.

However, please note that some lists are automated based on downloads etc and is not the result of us 'featuring' some applications.

As for the banner, it is certainly controlled on our end. Please send me a PM with more details about your request and we will look to featuring it as well.

  • BlackBerry World

    Hi guys,.

I already have an app in the Blackberry world created for previous versions of BB devices.

I just finished the blackberry 10 version of the same application - developed to support the blackberry 10 only unit. I don't want to support the previous version more. I want only supported blackberry 10 devices. I create the version of the app.

    My question is?

    1. How can I download my application in the world of Blackberry to support only 10 blackberry devices.

    2. I developed my application using Webworks 2.0... Do I have to download only the .bar file found in the App zip the entire folder OR folder and upload it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there, so...

#1: when you download your new version, alias "file Bundle, you will be able to select the operating system that is available for. For BB10, you simply choose "QNX". This will be only the BB10 target devices.

#2: you still want to download the .bar file packed and the store signs.

  • Q10 issue: call BlackBerry World

I'm trying to make a link to our page of Blackberry World of Q10 application vendor. It works on Z10 correctly but Q10 begins the World of Blackberry app and shows a black screen.

    I invoke with: appworld://vendor/

    Any idea?

You have applications that are supported currently Dev Alpha C or Q10, out in the world of BlackBerry? I imagine that the Alpha C and Q10 Dev will filter applications that are not built/released for them.

In my app, I see my name of the seller and a back (with a black screen between the 2) button when I open my page of the seller in the world of BlackBerry on the Dev C Alpha, but I see all my apps when I open on the Z10.  My applications do not yet support the Dev C or Q10 Alpha.

  • Is it possible to load the specific libraries about the version of BlackBerry model (NOT the software)?

    Hello world

I know it's possible to load specific libraries about the version of the BlackBerry host software (using files .alx and .jad files), but it is also possible to do the same thing about the version of BlackBerry model?

I know you can find something with download OTA by designing a specific download servlet that will check the version of the device model (using the HTTP for ie user agent) but how could you do the same thing with the files .alx file? Is it still possible?

In regards to as you can only check the device software version, but you can't do it with the version of the device model... Is there a workaround here?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I recalled an old article that I came across a couple of months:

  • Submit a WebWorks for BlackBerry World app

    Hello

I did the following steps to prepare my first communication of the app:

    • generated file bar
    • Bar the file in the folder with the folder named all in line with the compatible software version
    • generated a devices.txt
    • generated a release.xml

Is there something else that I missed?  I sign the app?  I can't tell if it's for native only.

Take a look at our developer site for all the info you need publish your app on BlackBerry World: http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/signing_landing_page.html

In short, Yes, you must sign the application.  All that is necessary, as screenshots, icons, etc. for the real storefront will be listed in the supplier portal, you pass by the submission process.
