Names of the devices connected to the router

How can I tell the names of the devices that are connected to my router E2000? Cisco connect says I have 4 devices but I only have 3. I'm trying to understand source of the 4 device.

Open the Cisco connect software. Go to "Setting up the router" and click "Advanced settings". Who will open the router configuration page.

Click the status tab. Go to the tab "Local network" sub on the button "DHCP Client table". Here is a list of the devices connected to the network.

  • connection printer MG7520 problems with password, and the new name of the router

I had to change my router network name and the password (the actual router is the same, but the network name and password is different). Now my Canon MG7520 won't 'talk' to my lap top, room rvia wired or wireless LAN (that worked before). My guess is that I need to "tell" the printer name and the password are different, but I know dn't how.  I tried to download the software and run it (that is to say, all over again) but when I do I get an "unable to acquire information on the driver and software.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi sdwhite,

Yo are quite right that any time changes to network configuration, the printer must be given new items.  The printer can be connected directly from the operations Panel, and I have included full instructions HERE.

  • How is the ACL name of the router for fleeing?

I want to test running and have a question, the name of the ACL.

I configured the device blocking on the IDM,

    -blocking interface Fastethernet0/0 =

    -direction = in

    -Pre IDS_PRE = ACL name

-Ask the IDS_POST = ACL name

Change a signature "ICMP-echo" to shunhost and update on the router but added new ACL under Fastethernet0/0 as the name IDS_Fastethernet0/0_in_0 and rocking it with IDS_Fastethernet0/0_in_1.

    Q. why the ACL name not follow my name on the IDM?

    Thanks in advance.

I think that there is some confusion about what are PreACl and PostACL.

The PreACL and PostACl entries in IDM do not affect what's name created sensor ACL on the router.

The sensor will always create an ACL that is named with the following format:

    IDS___<0or1>

So for you the configuration it would create the following names of ACL:

    IDS_Fastethernet0/0_in_0 and IDS_Fastethernet0/0_in_1

E he uses 2 ACL because it cannot modify an ACL that is currently applied on the interface. So if ACL 0 is currently applied then it will create 1 ACL and then apply ACLs one (which Désimpute ACL 0).

The sensor can then remove 0 and create a new ACL 0 when a change has to happen.

So, what are the pre and Post ACL names used for?

One of the biggest complaints we had with older versions of the probe was that the user could add no lines to the ACL that created the sensor.

So we came to the top with the pre and Post ACL so that users can add entries to the ACL that creates the sensor.

The user must connect on the router itself and create an ACL with little matter the name they want. Inside of the ACL, they put the entries they finally want to see at the top of the ACL that will create the sensor.

When they set up the sensor, they take the name of the ACL, they created and enter it in the field for the name of PreACL.

The user can do the same for the entries they want at the bottom of the ACL generated by the sensor by creating another ACL on the router. Put it in the Scriptures they want to see at the bottom of the created sensor ACL and then type the name in the name of PostACL field.

If the names of pre and Post ACL aren't going to use to name the ACL created sensor.

But on the contrary these ACL is read out of the router by the sensor, and these ACL entries will be placed inside the ACL, created by the sensor.

  • Number of devices connected to my router

On the start Cisco Connect screen, top left "Computer and other devices" section shows that 1 device is connected. However, there are in the table of client DHCP 12 devices and wireless MAC filter it 7 devices are listed. Can someone explain why a different number of devices appear?

Well to add a different type of device, such as a phone or a game system, open Cisco Connect and select computers and devices and then choose device then it will be displayed in the list. In the table of DHCP client it will show all the devices that work on DHCP, where as in wireless Mac filtering it only prove the computers assigned to them.

  • Ink advantage 2545: changed the name of the wireless router and now ink advantage 2545 does not connect and I'm out of ideas

    I have a Toshiba laptop 64 bit running Windows 10 Home, 8 GB, 1 t hard drive.

Router is a Samsung phone using Android because it was the only router that I could find which would take the wireless signal.

I live very pastoral, no neighbours for miles, so I never saw the need for a password on my router.

Now, some people are installs in less than 400 feet from me, and I think they're piggybacking on my Wifi because my access speed has slowed considerably since they moved in.

So I decided to change the password of the router, unfortunately, I can not put in any password I want.  It gives me the opportunity to have a predefined password.  So I changed the name of the router I could do without problem.

My computer very quickly without any problem, however, my printer which worked great for a year with the old router name does not connect on the new name of the router.

    Here is what I tried:

I had hoped he would ask me for a new name / password, but it did not.

Then I plugged a cable between the printer and the laptop in the hopes that it would produce a different kind of results.  It has not changed anything.  There is no screen menu on what that be like this on the printer.

I pressed the wireless button that has the flashing blue light and nothing happened.

I pressed the button, don't know what it is, but it has a white light, and nothing happened.

I went on the HP site and followed the instructions but he just said do not connect the cable until told to do so.  So I disconnected everything, lights out and turned back on and still no connection and no invite to plug whatever it is.

Y at - it everywhere where I have being a novice could get instructions on how to get this working?

I appreciate any help you can give me.  Thank you.

  • I want to see all the devices that are connected to my router

I have a router E1200 and it is very good, however I have noticed that there are 12 devices connected to my router so infact it should be only 4 devices. I would like to see all the devices that are connected and disconnect those who do not belong to HELP!

You use software to see all the devices that are supposed to be connected to your router? You can reset and start over with your router.  Make sure you have security enabled on it as WPA Personal. You can try a DHCP reservation so to ensure that devices that will have access to your router are those you have included on the list.

  • New router = the name of the new network, how can I get my wireless Dell 966 printer to recognize the new network?

I got everything set up on my new network, but have not been able to set up my Dell 966 Wireless printer.  It worked fine with the old router.  The name of the network on the printer is still my old network name, not a new one.  I can't find the printer when I search for wireless.  Printer sharing is on, and the port is set for the printer.  I have reset the desktop computer and the printer.  I checked and double checked all connections.     9

    Hello

Configure the printer with a static IP address to connect directly to the router (read the manual).

Next, configure the computers on the network to print to the static IP address.

The network name or the name of the router would be important.

Cisco COnnect allows me to change the password for the network comments, but not the name.

How can I change the name of the connection of comments?

    Alberto smell, MD

As dalime said, you must set the name of the router and then the guest account is generated on that basis.  But it's a bit stupid.  If you have configured your router from the web panel name or after you set up your guest account, it will generate a generic name of Cisco.

    Solution:

    (1) disable comments

    (2) change the name of the router (as dalime has shown)

    (3) (cancel) the stupid usb key exchange request

    (4) change the name of the router to what it should be

    (5) (cancel) the stupid usb key exchange request

    (6) turn on comments and now he will recognize the name of the OK to add router "-guest" at the end of

  • Reset the router - questions

    Hello

My family and I use the Linksys E1000 router for some time and just yesterday my laptop began to have some problems. I don't know where to start, so I guess I'll just start from the beginning.

I was at my local college library using the Internet. I closed the lid of my laptop, put on the mode 'sleep', knowing that the class I had then would be not long. However, events conspired to made me forget that I even had my laptop until later in the night, when I was home around 6:30 a. After opening the lid, I found that while my computer has recognized the Cisco wireless network, he was not identified. I stopped, tried again. Disconnected. Stop. Turn it back on. All of these variables on the laptop. Finally I went out to the living room where our router and restart it, unconsciously it rest for too long - and the entire router decided to restart.

With this, our wireless set came down, and none of the computers were able to connect to the Internet. After a few hours of troubleshooting (my knowledge of comes down to I have a sneaking suspicion about how do to reboot a router so I apologize for the apparent inability), I was able to get through Cisco Connect and launch a new wireless - our network name network thus changing NiceTiger for the original name of the router, then the use of CC - FancyPenguin. I was (and am) able to type the IP address in the bar of my browser, connect, change settings and all that good stuff, but I can't always connect to the Internet. It shows on my network card that I am connected to the router (on my laptop), but it shows that the router cannot connect to the Internet. I tried turning it off modem, turn off the router, thing 2 minutes and nothing worked. The wireless router is connected to the PC out in the living room, and now does not work even on the Internet for this.

I don't know yet where to start on how to solve it. I tried the fact to unplug cables and waiting. I tried fiddling with the settings, but nothing helped. Honestly, I don't know yet what DNS or none of this means. But I am at a loss to know what to do.

To resolve this issue is extremely important. I have an online class that I take at the College and without Internet, I can not completed by missions. My grandmother needs pay its bills and my mother runs its business online, so if someone could help, I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much. If you need details or card or anything, just ask and I'll do my best to help you. As I said earlier, however, I'm a total noob and absolute when it comes to this sort of thing.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Ok.

    1. try to disconnect the ethernet cable from the modem to the PC, unplug the power supply and the battery pack inside the modem for about 30 seconds or more.

    2. always disconnect power to the router until you are finished with step 3.

    3. connect the batteries of the modem and power and wait for it to start. Once that is complete, connect the ethernet cable to the Port on the router 'Internet '.

  • Airport Express. Connect to a router home without another device from the airport.

Looking to buy an AirPort Express station. Plan to connect it to my home router to boost connecting devices and to create the network or guests. This work if I just plug my Express in the router with a cable Ethernet or you will take another product I.e. time capsule to work? The router can also activate "Modem Mode"

    What model is the modem?

Comments wireless is disabled in all apple routers when they are used in bridge mode... This will mess up your idea to connect to main router... the express (or any wireless router) should then be in bridge.

If you can fill the main modem... It is pure modem and run the express as a wireless router, then it can produce a network of comments as well... However, Express is slow and far from adequate as a main network router... unless you talk real slow ADSL etc.

  • Wireless devices cannot connect to each other using the router EA6900

I use the 2.4 Ghz network and none of my wireless devices are able to communicate with each other...  I could not connect to a wireless printer to my laptop wireless (through the router) and thought it was unusual.  I tried ping does not work either.  I then plugged a cable ethernet to the laptop and could ping the printer wireless without a problem.   I tried other devices (wired and wireless connections) and it seems that no wireless device can ping any other wireless device.  If, however, one of the devices is connected, it works fine...  All wireless devices to connect to the router and internet without problem... It's just when they try to communicate with each other.  I have experimented with the desktop using the ethernet adapter, then the wireless adapter... same results.  My wireless using my previous router devices could communicate with each other.  It's almost as if this device has insulated AP running if this so-called it doesn't support that.

Customer service said: I'm the only one with this problem.  Does anyone else have this problem?

I have an ea6900 and it works fine for me. Sounds almost like you are connected to the guest network which would be sort of this way. Did you do a power reset? It has never worked? Try to remove the power and back to see if it clears up it.
