Navigation in my music on Apple TV: is there a better way?

On my Apple TV (4th gen), if I want to listen to a particular band in my collection of music, using the remote control of the ATV, I go to my music > artists and then scroll down to the band I want. They are classified in alphabetical order. The problem is that I have a lot of music, and using the ATV remote to scroll manually to the last part of the alphabet is unwieldy. It took me literally 55 slides on the remote to scroll down alphabetically by Parliament Funkadelic, for example. I have not found any command of Siri that will navigate directly to a band in my collection of music and show me the albums I own.

I now tend to AirPlay of my iPhone or MacBook Pro because the music is easier to navigate, but if the Apple TV had an easier way, I would use that.

Is there an easier way to navigate and play my music from the Apple TV?

Thank you!

-Anth

You can use Siri to play songs by < artist > or < Album > Play, but it would be great if the content navigation has been easier. A presentation of the grid with several items on each line would be an obvious way to speed things up.

  • Music from Apple on Apple TV

Updated everything. Went to watch the Festival of music from Apple on my 3rd Gen Apple TV has discovered that she has been attributed to the Apple's music. Then, to get the subscription (ugh, that you need). Went to broadcast videos of my iPhone 6s by AirPlay (after having to learn about changes in airtime) to my Apple TV. The video plays for a few seconds and then it goes black and you get only sound. Really? Anyone find a solve? May be the time to find something else to use against Apple TV.

    Hi an_ita,

I have a Hyundai Elantra (the equivalent American i30) 2013 and when connecting my phone to the car with USB port, the flying track controls do not work in the ios 10. I used to be able to change the path of a song in ios 9 very well. The music app Apple and others like Google Play, Spotify, etc. were very well in ios 9. In ios 10, if I change the track, it causes the phone to disconnect from the car. It seems that Apple has some work to do to correct the compatibility with cars when you connect to them with the USB port.

I don't think that Apple music is supported on the 2nd GEN Think its only a 4th Gen and maybe the 3rd:

  • Music library Apple messed up my songs

Hello. I hardly ever have anything to complain about Apple's music, but today I noticed something really weird. I got about 60 GB of songs in my computer when I signed firstly for the Apple's music and has my synchronized library. Well, it happened last year and since then I had no problems with it.

But I just did a clean install of El Capitan on my macbook and so lost all the file of songs I had stored. 'No problem', I have thought, "they are still all in my music library apple, as long as I have access to the internet, I can listen to all". It so happened I had some songs very special and unique, like an instrumental version of sadness Summertime Lana Del Rey. Boy was I surprised when I tried to play and played the version of iTunes is in fact identical to the album version.

So I ask you, Apple: where is my instrumental song by Lana Del Rey? If it's in the cloud, how can I listen to it?

So I went and looked for other similar songs, and they are all screwed up. My set of The Killers live album is not powered, each song is the version of the album, even with the (live) song in it.

I can't help thinking that apple music spread a kind of false when propaganda advertising that we were able to listen to our songs from any device. It turns out that this is not always the case. I ask you once again: where are my files of original songs? How can I listen to them?

    I expect an honest answer.

    Hello

Inadequacy of live versions of studio music is a common problem. http://www.mcelhearn.com/apple-music-matches-files-with-metadata-only-not-acoust ic-fingerprints /

In any case, the music you download from Apple will have music DRM and you will only be able to play them as long as you subscribe to the Apple's music.

Your solution is to restore your original music of your back ups

  • "The object you requested is not currently available in the music of Apple to the Canada."

I get this error "the object you requested is not currently available in the music of Apple in Canada." every time I try to open a shared playlist of music apple link.

    Help!

    Hello tommy.ly,

Thank you for being part of the community of Apple!

As I understand it, you can't play an Apple shared music playlist. Being able to listen to shared playlists is a great way to discover new music.

When music is allowed for music from Apple, the license States that the countries that the song can be played in.  Most likely, some of the music on these playlists simply are not available through Apple music to the Canada.

  • Why can't get my music on Apple music?

I believe that this question was asked here several times but I do not see that it has been answered.

I have music from Apple, and I have a lot of songs on my 6 iPhone through Apple music.  However, it is a fair bit of stuff that I have on my MacBook, which is not on the Apple's music.  Why can't I just put these albums on my iPhone via iTunes as I used to?

All I get when I try to sync is "iCloud Music Library Is On" but if I try turn off voltage, it tells me I'm losing every album that I saved my music Apple, which is hundreds and hundreds... and something I don't want to do.

    Can someone help me please?

You cannot synchronize manually if you use Apple music disco iCloud.

Apple music works such that if the songs in your library iTunes on your computer is not found in the iTunes Store music library, it will download the unmatched songs so you can still access it if the music to iCloud service.

To do this, iTunes must analyze your library on your computer and download these songs.

If you turn off iCloud music library, then everything that is in iTunes on your computer will replace the content of the music on your iPhone app. This is why he warns you.

Your iPhone and your library of music from iTunes on your computer must contain the same elements. The iPhone can also contain a subset of the items in your iTunes library, but essentially, it's all on the music from your iPhone app must already exist on your computer in order to avoid the deletion of things on the iPhone.
