NB 305 & broadcom crystal hd card

Hello.

Looking to buy one of the NB305 netbooks but I wanted to check if there is anyway that these can play H.264 encoded mkv files. I know that the pinetrail CPU would probably hurt, but I read that the broadcom crystal hd card can work around this problem. Would the NB305 screed with this card because it requires a free PCIe slot? Guessing there is no possibility to buy the card with the netbook as you can do with the dell mini 10 and the hp mini 311?

See you soon.

Hi mate

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to watch and play H.264 encoded mkv files.
The files may be slightly larger because of the high resolution definition but and simply VLC player (small tool to release) should be able to read this file

> Would be the NB305 screed with this card because it requires a free PCIe slot?
. No.. You cannot insert, upgrade this laptop with any other PCI cards
It is not possible.

    Hello

I have the HP T5740 Thin Client, and I want to install Broadcom Crystal HD BCM970015 a half height mini PCIe card.

question is do I have PCI Expansion Module AZ551AA Express4x or it can be installed without it?

can not find documentation on the motherboard, which slots are available, where to install the Broadcom Crystal HD etc...

    Thank you

Just open it and see.  There is a Mini PCIe location to downtown, which was originally scheduled for a WiFi inside card.  With the t5740 worm 1.04 BIOS update, the Mini PCIe slot was authorized to accept cards like the Broadcom Crystal HD.  The older BCM970012 is a card full height and does not.  The BCM970015 is a half-height card normally but Amazon sells a Variant that is full height.  Don't buy that.  You want the card half height card support with full height.  Simply remove the stand so it will be good in the t5740.

  • XPS 8300 nine connects to the Broadcom Netlink Communication card only after restarting 3 - 4 times at cold start.

    Hello

    I just bought a new XPS 8300.

After woeking OK a few days, now it connects to the Broadcom Netlink Communication card only after restarting 3 - 4 times at cold start.

    Someone has the same problem?

All other computers in the House connect from the first shot. (two cell phones and another office.) They have much slower computers.

In the beginning, I have re-installed the driver (DVD and downloaded), but not that's the problem.

The computer must have a little hot.

When it does connect, Test the Dell tool DOES NOT SHOW (does not appear in the list of tests) Broadcom NetLink Gigabite Ethernet card.

I'm a little disappointed, it's a brand new computer, I was expecting more problems from the beginning.

    Thanks, Cristian, Montreal, Canada

    All,

According to the received update, please call Support technical and would take appropriate action.

The fix is based on case to case, so I would ask all those who face this problem to call tech support for your region.

The technical team sent details to the technical team and the TS process for this issue should go smoothly.

FYI: I was not provided with a patch, please contact Dell Technical Support for more details.

  • Broadcom netlink gigabit card does not connect to 1 Gbit/s, auto negotiate connects to 10 Mbps

    Hello

I am very satisfied with my purchase Alienware Aurora ALX and happy to be part of this community.  However, I have this problem:

Does not connect to 1 Gbps Ethernet adapter; Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) confirmed that my router is able to support Gigabit Ethernet.  I have two other devices connected to the same speed (an old PC and NAS).

    (2) when I set the speed and duplex of the adapter auto negotiate, it will connect to 10 Mbps

    (3) I noticed that there is no setting for 1000 Mbps in speed and duplex options.

    (4) I tried 100 full duplex MB, it will connect, but my Internet connection slows down less than 1 Mbps (I'm on a 15Mbps connection and test the other PC it could reach around 14Mbps).

    (5) I then tried 100 MB half duplex, it will also link and my overall network performance is good.

    (6) I have confirmed that I have the current driver from Dell. I've had the computer for 3 days (using windows 7 by the way).

    (7) I tried all ports on my router and confirmed that the side of the router has also been on auto negotiate and not trying to force a specific speed.

I hope someone has a solution or suggestion for this problem.

    Kind regards

    Jason

    * SOLUTION * thanks in part to the previous article.

Here is the Giga speed solution that worked for my new Dell Studio 1458.  I've read a lot about speeds slow xfer using the Broadcom NetLink LAN connection.

There were two things I did not initially, but were in fact true.

    (1) you must use a CAT 6 line on ALL your machines capable of gigabit.  I though that a good line of Cat5e support giga speeds.  This isn't.

Card Dell NetLink is apparently, some initial negotiations with your router (a bit ' as a fax machine), then after seeing all of your connections.

    It will drop the xfer rate down to the lowest common component (i.e. the Cat5e cable).  And;

    (2) map of NetLink won't give you giga speeds in automatic selection (advanced ethernet properties, speed & duplex).  The speed and the duplex window will never

view 1000 MB!  You can check if your is10/100/1000 connection by double clicking on the icon of your connection to the Local network.

I checked the speed of my connection giga via a test utility and transferring a 200meg file.  The results indicate an increase in the speed of 12 MB/s to 26 MB/s.

These figures do not show a factor of ten speeds increase, we'd all have (so much), but they are in line with transfer rates of others.

    I hope this helps!

  • Pavilion 15-p262nf: network card driver Broadcom emits

Hello guys! I need assistance with a recently purchased HP Pavilion running on windows 10 15. While trying to update my Broadcom Wi - Fi card via the HP support assistant, the installation has failed and left me no Wi - Fi. Could you point me to the correct driver, I need (hardware ID: PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C & REV_01) as well as help on how to install it properly, as the automatic and manual installation have the unfortunate habit of neglect and delay...
    Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

At this point, you can back up files that you do not lose and perform a system recovery.

You have the key wireless under correct voltage?

  • Satellite Pro A100-622: Impossible to activate the card PCI-E BT

    Hello

so, I have this laptop and it doesn't have the internal Bluetooth module or no connections to install one.
So I bought a combo wifi/Bluetooth Broadcom pci-e card and WiFi part works fine but the Bluetooth part is not recognized,

When you install the Bluetooth driver that I get "turn on Bluetooth", the fn + f8 does nothing so I was wondering if the pci-e connector is limited in the connections of the pins or there may be another question.

Is there any software for Toshiba to throw the switch on the pci-e card?

What is the exact brand and model of your handset device name?

I guess the part Bluetooth is also a USB device as any device Bluetooth standard of our days.
Nevertheless, the ID of the material seems to be unknown to the Bluetooth stack.
So you could check the VID/PID string in your Bluetooth device device manager and
Add it to the file 'tosrfusb.inf '. This file is used by Toshiba Bluetooth stack to identify the
Bluetooth hardware. Maybe a new hardware detection will work now.

  • New Wifi card on 4101sl Pavilion DV3

    Hi all!
I have a new router, with Cabinet WiFi frequency: 2.4 and 5 ghz...
My laptop supports only 2.4 ghz. It is possible to replace my wireless card with a new wifi card supporting 5 ghz?
BIOS restricts the types of cards to use, or can be used to any Mini PCI Express?

For example, I buy Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN?

It is a useful update? There is a clear difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz?

    Thank you for attention

5 ghz provides wireless performance you are right to want to use it. You also reason ask if BIOS limits your choice in wireless for the laptop adapters, because there is a limit. The manual says it can use an Intel Ultimate-N 6300 which can operate in the 5 ghz band:

    Manual

But the manual does not give the part number for this map. Here's a 6300 card that is known to work in HPs and should work in your:

And here's a Broadcom who IS in your manual of the card and works at the frequency of 5 GHz:

You must use a HP card or BIOS allows you to block the computer from starting.

  • Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN disappeared

Compaq Presario F700 with a card Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN internal running Vista 32 bit.  After two years of trouble-free operation, after a MS-update, all of a sudden my PC does not see the internal WIRELESS card.  After having consulted the web, I tried two solutions.  I replaced the WLAN card.  No results.  I got a USB WLAN and that works very well.  After a few MS Update, the internal WLAN card has been recognized, Self installed and everything has been corrected... until I put the machine to sleep.  When he's awake, without WLAN.  Back to the dongle.  Some time later, I installed some other SW and the wireless card was recognized with the same result, he worked up a sleep and then was lost.  This product seems NOT hidden in Device Manager.  CANNOT install this product as material heritage because it does not exist in this list.  Here is a screenshot of Device Mgr: http://flash412pix.home.comcast.net/~flash412pix/DeviceMgr-NO-WIFI-Card.JPG

Yet the system information clearly show the machine 'sees' the card.  But the MAC is missing as well as other important information. http://flash412pix.home.Comcast.NET/~flash412pix/SystemInfoWIFI-card.jpg

I downloaded the Broadcom drivers and reinstalled them but the machine refuses to see the internal LAN card.  I have no usable restore point.  What will restore the RECOGNITION and operation of my Broadcom BCM43xx WLAN card?

    Hi Flash412,

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    1. click on Start, type Device Manager in the start search, then press on Enter.

    2. in the left pane of Device Manager, open the node that represents the network adapter , and then right click on the input of the unit.

    3. Select Properties , then check the option allow this device to wake the computer.

    4. click on OK.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • A fabric mismatch detected C mezzanine card

    Hello

We have chassis blade M1000e with modules passthru "DELL 10GbE XAUI PTM" and several blades work M710 with 'Intel 10GbE/FCoE double X-520 KR' NIC in fabric C.

Now two new knives M620 with NIC 'BOUZHAM 10GbE 2 p 57810S - k Mezz' fabric C have been installed in the chassis, and I am unable to turn on, get the error:

HWC2008: A tissue mismatch is detected for C mezzanine card.

    Detailed description:

The fabric for the cards of the IOM and the mezzanine type must match. Once a card IOM or mezzanine is inserted into the chassis, the type of tissue is then set to the MCC and CMC will ensure the continuation of IOM and mezzanine cards match.

    Recommended action:

Check the chassis type of fabric in the GUI of CMC and compare the type of card the IOM or mezzanine.

Does this mean the Broadcom 10 GB NIC are not compatible with the passthru module?

    Thank you!

    Hello

According to the matrix of support only the support10GbE cards listed XAUI PTM.

Since it is a different protocol 2 XAUI vs KR, broadcom could not establish the link due to the backward compatibility.

Dell 10 Gbit Ethernet cross II supports XAUI following cards:
    Broadcom 57710 mezzanine card

  • Broadcom Teaming 5709C emits in Win2008 R2

    Hi all

We currently have a Dell R710 which is used for a SQL Server database. It's a future production system that will be widely used, so we want to allow the grouping on the 5709 4 network adapters that are present on the R710. But we have serious problems with the grouping. As for the present time, all network adapters are connected to the same Cisco 2960 G switch. They are all on the same VLAN. In the near future, we plan to buy another switch for redundancy, but it is not relevant here.

I downloaded and installed the latest firmware of the NETWORK adapter from the Dell website (link)

I downloaded the latest Broadcom and BINS of Broadcom drivers web site ( link )

Then, I decided to give it a try to team up. I fire up to 3 TRAYS, create a team with all my 4 cards in without LiveLink enabled.

BINS he does things and a new card NETWORK load balance is created in Windows. This new NETWORK adapter is DHCP so I open the properties, edit and enter a static IPv4. Everything works smoothly for a few hours and then no responses from the server over the network. I use IPMI to go on the server, it will not connect, the server seems to be crashed. I hard it reboot and everything is back online, including NIC load balancing.

It remains very well for about a day and then again down. I then decide to disable the grouping and executed on 1 NETWORK card at the moment. According to the web sites of Dell and Broadcom, I have all the latest drivers, firmware and software. Windows Update.

Any ideas why our server blocks randomely like that? There is nothing in the Windows event log and no BSOD to analyze. I can confirm that gels are due to the team, because the server was stable for 2 months before I activated 2 days ago from grouping. Should I have turned something off before activating the grouping?

    Thanks for any help,

    Guillaume.

To resolve this problem, we made the following

    1. Uninstall older versions of the Broadcom software
    2. Update Firmware - Network_Firmware_THCKX_WN_7.4.8.exe is the Firmware.  (it takes 10 minutes)  http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/product/PowerEdge-2950?driverId=THCKX&osCode=WNET&FILEID=3176151152&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=NI
    3. Driver is Bcom_LAN_17.4.0_Windows_64_17.4.0.9.exe - unzip and run the Setup program, include the option of BASF.  http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/product/PowerEdge-2950?driverId=7WFK2&osCode=LHS64&FILEID=3176150992&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=NI
    4. Uninstall both Broadcom network interface cards using Device Manager to remove all links, research material and it will be re - detect the.
    5. Configure a new team using the new tool of Broadcom (BASC). Then set up the new card of the ASSOCIATION with the necessary parameters.

Now, we made team too. Hope you have similar success TTIME1

  • Satellite A660 3rd party WLAN does not work

    Hello

I had a problem with my WLAN adapter so I used to replace.
Currently, I have installed card Broadcom Dell Wireless 1397.
It has been defined by Device Manager and drivers have been installed.
But it is impossible to turn on the WLAN.
When I click the buttons activate WLAN, it just back to the OFF position.
    I also use Windows 10.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I own Satellite A660 - 16 M. Initially, it was equipped with Broadcom BCM4318 WLAN card. I decided to replace it with an Intel Centrino N-6230 dual band with 3.1 Bluetooth card. Replacement process was fairly easy, the problem was to make the new card working group. I use Windows 10 as an upgrade to Windows 7 Home. As you can imagine that the utility flash cards stopped working after the upgrade of the system, but Windows 10 has managed to cope with BCM4318 since the original drivers and Windows 7 registry entries have been always working in the background. The WLAN button above the keyboard worked, was so orange the LED in the front of the laptop.

Situation changed completely with the new Intel Centrino 6230 N WLAN card. Despite he properly recognized by device with all the necessary drivers automatically responsible manager, I was unable to have the WLAN button and the LED orange work which is to turn on the radio (the card WLAN itself, its possibilities of wifi). The weird part is that the Bluetooth worked without any problems.

The solution was to put a small piece of electrical tape on the 20 PIN of the new WLAN card to prevent WLAN DISABLE State presented to the motherboard. So RADIO WLAN is always on, so Windows 10 own wifi tools were able to switch on the WIFI network and... I see now all (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) wireless networks. Of course the WLAN button and the orange LED still haven't work (it seems that it is somehow hardcoded to support only the original BCM4318) but I don't love about it. The most important is that I'm now a lot more capable wireless network inside my laptop card.

I hope that the solution above works in your case, 8stack. Watch the attached files to see what she looked like, as in my case.

    Best
