NB100 and graphics issues in Vista and Windows 7
Hi all.
I have two NB100s and I wanted to upgrade to Windows 7. Everything went well until what the graphics driver has been loaded. Responses of the screen were as refresh once per second 5, then also the system froze for a few seconds - impossible to work on it. The case even on the two NB100s and even with the new drivers from Windows update. I'm curious to know what is the problem, because a lot of guys have written that they are running windows 7 and everyting is ok right after installation. I tried Windows Vista and the same situation has occurred. The only way I can use it with Windows 7 is to use the XP drivers. But then the aero glass does not. I just got idea if there is no problem with the new bios 1.6. It seems that other older guys NB100 and use Windows 7. Could someone help me? Has anyone tried Windows 7 with bios 1.6? THX.
Hello!
I think the problem is that you are using a beta version of the operating system and not a final version and these errors are normal because nobody can say that Windows 7 beta runs perfectly and without problems on all laptops or computers.
However, see the Intel Web site for the latest drivers. Perhaps there is a newer version than on the Windows Update Web site.
Good bye

PS CS6 and Windows 8 graphics issues
Hello!
I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8 Pro and I've noticed a few graphic problems in CS6. The flickering background, the image turns black, etc. After a little searching I found others who also had the issue. ( and ). I also read the blog post byHi Linda,.
Yes this is all related to driver problems with the fall of ATI 12.10 and impacts Psalm in opting for the basic mode, color management is managed on the CPU, and you may see an impact on performance with OpenGL rendering (3D on-screen interaction, I think requires the Normal parameter or advanced).

On my installation of Vista, all windows updates no longer work. If I try and run them from Windows Update in Control Panel one starts to run but then it just hangs. At the same time, I get a message "Windows install Module has stopped working and closes". If you look in the services, it is crushed, but restarts. The update remains always hung. It doesn't matter what update I try and run, I always get the same result.
When the computer is shut down, it also tries to automatically install updates. These also hang on the first, which means that I have to force power off the computer.
Don't know if this is related, but I don't think that SP2 already installed - it kept if crush (don't remember what was the error message). When I restart in safe mode it tells me that I'm still on SP1. I followed all the suggestions on how to get SP2 installed for the error I received, but nothing has worked.
Do not really understand what I have really installed a lot of "_" on the PC, it is a "clean" installation (about 1 year now).
Any ideas? Really, I don't want to have to do a re-install, but I suspect that is where I'm heading unfortunately.
Hi AndrewInNZ,
Thanks for visiting the site of the community of Microsoft Windows!
I would like to ask you some questions for a better understanding of the issue:
(a) did you try to temporarily disable the security software and check if updates are smooth?
(b) you are using a firewall in addition in instead of the windows firewall? If so disable (temporarily) of the third party firewall and look for updates.
It is usually caused by a 3rd party firewall that it blocks the internal ports.
Check out WERCON for more information-
1) Click START | wercon.exe type in the search box start and click on enter.
(2) select "View problem history", under 'Windows identified problems' with the right button on a problem, and then select "view problem details. Click "Copy to Clipboard" export to text document
Also reset the Firewall setting:
1) Click START | type FirewallSettings.exe into the start search box | Click on FirewallSettings.exe above | Select the Advanced Settings tab. Click 'Restore Defaults ' | Click on apply (if Hi-lighted) | Click OKCheck the status of the service as well:
Log in as administrator-
Start button | Control Panel | System and Maintenance | Administration tools
Double-click on Services
(Provide the administrator password or a confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right click on the 'Windows Modules Installer' service, and then select Properties.
Select the general tab - make sure that the startup type is manual

Dual boot Windows Vista and Windows 8
Hello world
I'm having the following problem: I had Windows 7 as primary OS (C drive) and then installed Windows 8 (on drive D) that is of dual boot. Everything was working fine until I decided to remove Windows 7 from the drive C. I have formatted the drive using Acronis Disk Director 11. After the reboot, the computer was not bootable. I had a reistallation DVD of Vista and installed. Now, I have Windows Vista on C and Windows 8 for D drive that is not bootable. My question is how to get rid of Windows 8 without having my computer starts plu?
Thanks in advance,
Peter
Hello
try to start your computer in safe mode on Vista and remove windows 8 in d ' training of formatting it and check if the problem is resolved.
Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
If you still have the sam e problem then see below
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
See you soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista repair disc.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
There is not a disk of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~You can save your data in Mode safe, ifit loads correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can only do a upgrade repair facility if the Service Pack on the Vista DVD is not lower than the SP installed, in your case you have installed SP2.
DVD SP level. must be the same or higher to be able to do a repair installation.
Your DVD must be SP2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unless you do regular backups, nothng is guaranteed re data.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Data recovery:
1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.
2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.
3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:
http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html
Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the Vista software from the link above.
After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.
Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
Windows Vista SP2 fails to install and Windows Firewall will not stay
Hello, I have problems with Vista 64-bit, it will not install service pack 2 and Windows Firewall will not stay. I tried to manually enable ICF manually and it won't turn. It gave me error 6x9D. I ran several antivirus scans malware byte and pc cleaner pro 2012 and the issue has not been resolved. If I could get help would be much appreciated. Thank you
Hello
What do you use for security?
If you are using an Internet Security Suite, it will have its own firewall and disables the default Windows Firewall.
And you should have only one firewall to avoid problems related to the operating system.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
You have not installed SP1?
If so, try a direct download of SP2.
HP Pavilion p6330f and Windows 8 - firmware issues as possible
Hello!
I installed Windows 8 on my (greatly improved) p6330f... and I have a few problems that were fixed with updates of the firmware posted on the page for this model of computer. I installed the updates of the firmware under Windows 7, and there is no version of Windows 8 updates.
Here are the updates that are on the page-
BIOS: fixed fan speed< i="" am="" having="" this="" issue="" again="" while="" running="" windows="">
SATA hard drive update: data is not properly registered< i="" am="" having="" this="" issue="" again="" after="" running="" windows="" 8="" (especially="" with="">New versions of the firmware we will post for Windows 8, or I come to Windows 7? Please advise... I updated all parts of this machine in addition to the motherboard and processor (16 GB DDR3, 2 TB drives, AMD Radeon HD, the new power supply graphics card) and I have tweaked Windows 8 to a point where I like it so I don't want to go back to Windows 7.
Thank you.
card BIOS update mother MS-7613 and the SATA hard drive Firmware update has been permenently wrote in the BIOS of the computer chip and the chip of the firmware of the hard drive. The updates actually changed the code in hardware and change the operating system will not cancel these changes. The BIOS/firmware updates are still part of the material regardless of the currently installed operating system. The reason why HP lists updates that are compatible with Windows 7, because their installer has only been tested for use with Windows 7 and the controls to see that Windows 7 is installed before upgrading the system.
No update of Windows 8 will be available for your computer because of his age. You can check your BIOS version to verify that it is still in the v5.15 and you can do the same for the hard disk and make sure it is "BX". Other than that, the computer is not supported by HP for use with Windows 8 and HP will not provide drivers or updates for the computer.
BTW... I see that you have two of the same post... label, and the forum rules dictate a single post for a specific subject.
Yesterday my computer worked fine. No problems. This morning I'm going to open a session and it is frozen, so I unplug the computer and restart it but after entering my password, it freezes again and he did it for the past 14 times. I have Ubuntu installed on my machine that I use now which works great, but I need to get Vista up and running by Saturday, because I need to Photoshop to work and other things. I need to sync my iPod on Windows as well.
I did install updates or anything before this problem. He began by chance. I can't start without failure or recovery mode or networking like these gel too.
Hi LiaCHIA,
You get the error message?
Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.
If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.
Step 2: Follow the steps described in the article below, and then run the Startup Repair
