NB200 upgrade windows7

I think to buy a laptop in the near future, one of them I look at is the Toshiba NB200.
After viewing the site, I noticed that the laptop computer mini series is not included in the program of upgrading windows 7.

Anyone know if this will change because this is going to be the determining factor to see if I buy a laptop Toshiba NB200 on a different brand of mobile IE an asus n10 series, because it includes an option to upgrade to windows 7.

I wonder if the Mini by Toshiba notebooks will be included in the future

The upgrade of Windows 7 is for machines that have Vista Home Premium or better, these have XP Home (like most Netbooks). I guess sometime at the end of October, beginning of November we will see Windows 7 as an option on these...

  • NB200 - upgrade the RAM and install Windows 7?

    Hello to you guys.

I'm back and received the news for you. I got my new Toshiba NB200-10Z. I would like to ask you:

What are your comments on the upgrade of RAM? The difference is notable? It worth the cost?
What RAM memory slot I'm supposed to get? And what is the maximum memory I can update?

What are your ideas on installing Windows 7 as the only operating system OR to have both on different partitions?

    Thank you all in advance

    Hello

Just one question: you have a new laptop and why you didn t consult the user manual?
I ask this because in the user manual, you can find all the information on the upgrade of the RAM.
In my opinion RAM upgrade is always useful because the RAM modules are cheap nowadays and with 2 or 3 GB, you have enough RAM for applications.

Regarding the issue of Windows 7 you can install it if you want, why not? You can do what you want with your laptop, but I prefer the pre-installed version of XP at the moment because Windows 7 isn't on the market yet.
If you want to install you need extra partition for it.

  • NB200 upgrade RAM

Hey I was wondering just what ram should I get

    Corsair VS2GSDS667D2 2 GB SODIMM from PC-5300 - 667 mhz - $35

I just need to know if they work together and if I would enjoy having more than 667 mhz to 800 mhz or if even works at 800 mhz. I intend to install Win7 here and do a few games on it.

    Thanks, Jasen

    Hello

I do not know what NB200 you have exactly, but according to the specifications of the computer laptop for NB200 - 10 H (PLL25E) it comes with 800 MHz RAM module and I believe you can use the same on your model of laptop.

What N200 do you have exactly?

  • RAM NB200 upgrade. HOW?

    Hello

I think to upgrade memory of my netbook because it has 533 Mhz ram on board. So before buying new f, I tried to take a cache-location ram on netbook, but I failed. It seems that something locking cover, maybe someone knows what is the reason? Maybe I should take a main cover first?

I also have a question about the type of RAM. That it fits better for this machine?

    Thanks in advance.

I just made this upgrade of RAM and it took me a few minutes of fiddling around with the lid until I could go down and then another few minutes to put it back on after the upgrade. You can use your fingernail or a small screwdriver to jump off. To put it back on, just pushing it in, you will hear a click when it is resting itself.

  • Previous deletion of the windows installations.

What are the risks of the deletion of the previous windows and its files? Some things will stop working on windows 7?

Please repost your question in the Forums Windows7; http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7install/threads where the people who specialize in installation and upgrade Windows7 (and delete the version previous facilities) will be more than happy to help you with your concens.  Please provide more information on how it is that you have two OS on your system at the same time - you run dual boot or did you do a custom installation which has preserved parts of Vista or XP during installation process?  Please also indicate if you have successfully moved your data files for Windows7 or if they are still located in the old system files.

  • NB200 BIOS upgraded to V1.9 - good or bad?

My new NB200 - 10G has BIOS V1.2. Site Web de Toshiba EU shows V1.9 ready for download. Anyone know the advantages or disadvantages of the installation of this upgrade? There are lists of changes to each version anywhere? The upgrade process is reliable? I guess that it is irreversible. Windows 7 requires a minimum version to install?

    THX, Ken

    Hello Ken,

In my opinion, the important question is: you have problems with your laptop that makes this necessary update? If everything works fine, you n t need this update.

    Why?
Easy enough: it s a bit risky. Even if you close all the running programs, etc., in some cases, it may not and that means that you need professional would reflash the ROM module

    I think that says a lot! ;)

BTW, on the Toshiba website I can t find a changelog, it seems that there is not.

  • Re: NB200-134 - touch FN does not work after upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate

My NB200-134 of FN keys does not work after upgrade from Windows 7 starter to Windows 7 ultimate. I tried to install all the drivers found on the Web from Toshiba website for my lappy but it still does not work.

    Help please

    Hi asalamk,

The FN keys are controlled by value added and Flash Cards Support utility package. I think you forgot to install these tools

You should recheck the Toshiba page and download these two tools. Start with the installation of the package of added value, and then restart your laptop. After this utility installation of Support Flash Cards. Reboot once again and all the FN buttons should now work correctly.

  • NB200-12N - who to upgrade to 2 GB of RAM?

    Hello

I have a NB200-12N and want to upgrade to 2 GB. The manual and the data sheet are conflicting:
-On a single page, we read DDR2 800 MHz
    -an other PC2-4200
-and then this bus 667 MHz.

All three correspond to different types of RAM. What is the good?

Another question, what size should I buy?
-an additional 1 GB to add to the existing 1 GB
    - or a 2 GB and replace the existing 1 GB?

    Thank you
    Alain

Used on your laptop memory is DDR2 800 MHz and module type SO-DIMM.
I found some info you can use 2 GB RAM DDR - 800 module with the part number PA3669U-1M2G for RAM upgrade.

  • Upgrade Ram on a Netbook NB200 - 00L

I gave to my two daughters a Netbook Toshiba NB200 - 00L. Both came loaded with Windows 7 Starter. If I just upgrade to Windows Home Premium, it will slow down computers. I was told that the maximum ram that can take netbooks is 1gig. However, I keep seeing that people are upgraded to 2gigs. I want to upgrade the ram so that Windows Home Premium will work better. Can someone enlighten me on this subject. Upgrading ram Home Premium support will be more effective? Also, is anyone Home Premium running on their netbooks without upgrading, and it is really slow? Thank you

    Hello

AFAIK NB200 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Therefore, you can check the specs on the Toshiba site!

I m not NB200 owner but I improved my other laptops equipped with modules from Kingston. I've never had a problem with these modules. They always run stable and don t make problems.

  • Models NB200 / Ram upgrades

Hi, I'm planning to buy my netbook this Saturday and I found a couple of different models. There are the NB200 - 00P and the NB200-002. What are the differences between these two? Also, I do intend to upgrade my ram to 2 GB, is it possible with the NB200?

    Thank you

    Hello

The color of the NB200-002 seems to be Brown satin and the NB200 - 00P seems to be white satin

    http://www.Toshiba.ca/Web/product.GRP?LG=en§ion=1&Group=1&product=9350&p art = 9491

Two are supported the same processor, the same HARD drive, the same operating system, the same RAM.
    It's just a different color.

And Yes, it should be possible to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB

  • problem upgrading to Windows7 Windows XP Professionalge.

Hello everyone and happy to be here. I have a problem upgrading to Windows7 in Windows XP Professional. I have a Dell E510 while upgrading to Windows 7, I have reached the installation window and my complete system each item listed with a check mark next to: (copy of Windows files), (gathering files, settings, programs), (extension of Windows files). reached 27% full. I get a massage from windows restarts now... The computer does not restart. He asks me to press any key to boot from the CD. Once it goes to that, a window pops up that says "Windows starts now." It is not to go further than that. I release the CD and turn off the computer. When I restart again, a window prompts you to say 'start from the old system or windows put in place. " If I press windows set up, it does nothing. When I press on the old system, it restarts in Windows XP, and then a window invites you to tell me 'the computer started on your old system. It would not be upgraded. Contact Microsoft. This is getting very frustrating. I installed the Windows 7 DVD on my other HP computer without problem. But when he asks me to press any key to reboot from dvd and you do. There is no that start the installation from the beginning. "Collection Windows files, them"start windows"and them it is he don't, don't go anywhere." Can't someone help please? Thank you and I appreciate the help.

Do not touch the keyboard when you are prompted to "Press any key", sit and wait Windows to continue the installation. Also did you select the 'custom' and not the 'Upgrade' option at the beginnng of the installation process.

  • Can I move my files on my D drive and then use them to reinstall once I have upgraded to Windows7

I am running Vista and want to upgrade to Windows 7.  I have two hard drives on my computer, C, and D.  Can I use D to store my files while I install Windows7 and then move them back on the C drive?

    Hello

You should always have backups of files in case of hard drive failure and also before major upgrade work, etc.

    See you soon.

  • Upgrade from Vista to Windows7.

Can I upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista even if the Vista is corrupted and does not start?  Vista was preinstalled and I never created a rescue disk.  I have the product key and through BACK I can see that the windows files are still on the hard drive.  I heard that you can not pass actually no, I just want to know if the version of Windows 7 upgrade will recognize that I don't have a genuine version of Windows Vista.

    Hello

Difficulty your 1 Vista as well, not sure if your computer is running Windows 7.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
