    Hello

I have a problem with my Z930-164: the battery loose about 8% every 12 hours when it is off.

I have the latest version of the bios (6.80) and the latest drivers. I'm with 64-bit windows 7.

Trying a lot of things, I founded this is the option: "sleep and Charge" in the bios. By default it is on mode Auto (1.5 A), there is a 2. 0 to mode too. If I disable it, the battery only drop 1% every 12 hours so that it is off.

In the default mode, why he does not power the USB while you sleep if there is a device? Do not drain the battery!

    It's a huge problem, no?

    null

Sleep function & validated load affects the battery working time.
Sleep & Charge allows to load external devices (such as Smartphones) even if the laptop is in mode 'sleep'.

Also enabled wake-up options (Wake up on LAN, etc.) which are available in the BIOS would lead to discharge the battery.
So disable these options if you don t want to discharge the battery.

  • C50-A-19 t satellite does not start with the battery mounted

    OK, first post here.

I see similar questions coming, but as they are never QUITE the same, I am that posing in a new thread.

I left my Satellite from one day to the next (do not remember if I had put off, or he simply had 'gone to sleep', but it has been connected to the grid).

When I got to reboot, I got a power light on, but screen blank (black). After reading a few similar complaints on the internet (via another laptop!), I tried to remove the battery and power from the grid.
This worked well (I write him in this state right now).

But whenever I put the battery and try again, it will fail in the same way.
I tried this company "press and hold power for 30 seconds" without success (but I'm not 100% sure of the EXACT procedure actions sequence).

    I have a few questions:

    (1) I take the laptop away from my office - is there a problem with everything just works like this (i.e. of the grid, with no battery inserted) indefinitely?

    (2) in any case, I want to solve the problem.
If the battery has run COMPLETELY flat, and that the laptop can not it lights but also operate normally?

Alternatively, is probably that the battery has not experienced a catastrophic failure and simply needs to replace?
If so, I'll just buy a. BUT...

What I don't want to do, is to pay for a costly spare battery, to find that it was actually another factor at the origin of the problem, and I'm back to square one and out of Pocket!

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Hello

According to your assignment, in most cases, you use the laptop connected to the power adapter but no battery. Is this correct?

First we need to know that if the AC adapter is plugged in, the laptop should work correctly with - and without inserting the battery.
If you unplug the AC adapter, the laptop should automatically switch to battery power. In this case, it is important that the battery is pretty cool power to provide the power for the laptop.
In case the battery is empty, the laptop will not light.

I recommend to insert the battery plug the power adapter and charge the battery for a longer period of time.

You should also check if the battery is recognized by the Windows system and the battery charge indicator (battery in the taskbar icon) shows the State of battery charge.

In case the battery is fully charged and the laptop does not work using the battery power only, you should test the new battery.
If new battery does not solve the problem, s for laptop hardware needs an audit.

You have a new battery which destroys a dead battery. Now you have reinstalled the software for this. If it still does not work. Then you know that it is a matter of internal material. That your computer needs minor repairs done on the subject. Could be a burnt wire or wire connection loose a computer repair man would know. • New laptop password AC power to the battery when you play a game.

I got an IdeaPad P580 (i7, HDD 750 GB, 8 GB of ram, nvidia gt 630 m) a few weeks ago. A week ago I started having this problem where whenever I play a game, he's going off the AC power and the battery or vacillates between the two.

He did this in Grand Theft Auto IV, Fallout: New Vegas and same Minecraft. Sometimes even outside of the games, but this is rare. After closing a game once, he would be off AC for a few seconds every time I opened a new tab in my browser!

It doesn't matter what mode of energy that I use. The latest graphics drivers are installed. No matter if I use the Nvidia card or disable it in the bios and use the integrated Intel graphics card. I have tried everything I can think; I plugged the AC adapter into a wall directly instead of a surge protector, etc..

When the laptop is, there are three lights on the front under the touchpad. The two left are usually, but sometimes when it produces in the Middle it turns red.

If I remove the battery and just use the AC, the laptop just shut off after a second or two in the real game.

Someone at - it ideas? Nothing at all, even if you think it's a long shot. It of frustrating to buy a new laptop and then happen, especially since the problem with my old laptop has been playing games would cut (which was overheated, which appears not to be as it is not hot).

Hmm. you have no overclock your right to gt630?

cutting like that usually means not enough power is supplied by the power brick, or the connection is loose.

How many watts is the power brick?

If the power is firmly connected, first thing to do is call lenovo and ask them to send you a new power brick.

If the problem persists, you may have a bad mother power connector. It could be opening itself, or the connector on the motherboard.

How many times you plug and unplug the power cord? and you do it with force? If you are not sweet, the brackets that hold the power port may crack.

  • Battery loose on new T420

    Hi all

I myself recently got a new T420. Everything except the battery is OK. For some reason any battery 6-cell (55 +) not closely attached with the laptop. (Yes, I move the 'switch' on the 'lock' position). the battery is a little loose, it moves clearly and you can hear it clicking on if I move the computer. I guess it is normal to have some 'soft' but I think it is more 'normal' (and usually I try not to pay too much attention to minor details, but this one is bigger than I can possibly ignore).

Someone of you have similar problems? Have you managed to fix it?

    -af

Please note that the solution presented in my photo above turned out be not quite perfect: I noticed that the implementation of the Ribbon to the center stack is part of the flex, pressed by the battery case.

A better solution is to divide the pile into two piles placed on the left and right of the battery compartment edges: the case is much more rigid. The battery is supported in 4 points in this way, with no sagging.

  • How can I remove the battery? Can not find the "door"!

I'm looking at the t-shirt and I can't get the battery door to open. My phone is non-repsonsive. ICAN can't turn it on and covered troubleshooting said remove the battery and put it back in. I can't figure out how to open this device and take out the battery. Thepictire is not useful at all.

To remove the battery cover, the best thing to do is to try to put your fingernail between the cover and the screen on top (I usually do it between the fingerprint reader and the corner of the phone). Once you get a loose corner, it is easy to remove the rest of the cover.

  • Maybe the battery?

I just bought a rocket 8 GB, and I must say, I am very satisfied with what I got for the price.  However, there is a little insidious problem which concerned me.

You see, player has the battery life listed within 24 hours for audio.  However, when I play with the backlight turns off after 10 seconds and that occasionally back I have the volume or the titles, I can only get about 12 hours of the life, and is a generous value.  I even emptied the power completely and then recharged to recalibrate the battery, and that hardly makes the difference.  I know that manufacturers often embellish slightly autonomy estimated their player, but this seems abnormally low - especially for a flash drive.

The fact that I have the drive using a 16 GB SD card would be the culprit? Or if the songs that I use are mainly set to VBR 192 Kbps and the estimated life of the battery player was tested using 128 Kbps songs, if it makes a significant difference.  No video is played, so it's not a problem.  No indication on the issue would be greatly appreciated.  If this is, in fact, probably a bad battery, I aim to exchange for another rocket.

You may well have a bad battery, but first there are a few considerations.

You said you use big, around the ear headphones.  Generally, those are not very effective (thanks to their huge drivers) and take a lot of power to run well.  These phones put much more than load on the amp, using more power.  Not to mention you will likely increase the gain a little to compensate, which consumes more energy.  If you use the wholesale phones much w/o of an amp, it will certainly have an impact on the battery life.

You say that you let the screen turns off after 10 seconds.  It would certainly save battery life, unless he makes you forget to turn it off.  The "rocket" uses the battery even when stopped, and if you leave the mounted volume it can use almost as much power if there was in fact a song.  Remember to always turn off your rocket during its use not for awhile, which involves another key first to wake up the screen, then turn it off (known bug w / current fw, it should be fix soon for everything that you do is use the switch).  Also, when a break from the "rocket" (especially when connected to great phones) you can increase the volume all the way down, as will save batt. life.

I don't know how your usage patterns are different than most, or not at all.  Personally, I almost always use headphones at a low volume and turn off the player when I put it down for a while.  I sometimes use it at high volume through a stereo or adapter car FM, but usually only for short periods of time.  Try following the steps I mentioned and do not use the headphones for at least one full charge cycle and see if your battery life jumps up.  If this isn't the case, then you have a defective unit, but if so, you can simply use the player much more strongly than most of us.

  • I have a hp pavilion dv6 with factory warranty. It covers replacement of the battery and the keyboard?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv6, who currently holds the factory warranty. I was wondering if she covered with a replacement keyboard, because some of the keys that I use rarely become loose, as the right alt key. I was also wondering if she covered with a battery replacement, because it is the life is much shorter than he was when this laptop was new.

Oh, and if it does not cover the replacements for the two parties, how could I do to obtain replacements?

    Thank you

    Michael

OK, you're in good shape, for the battery, so that we will send it to you free of charge if under warranty - ask that if they send the keyboard as well, some models are replaceable by the end-user.

    Hi nancypalmiter,

1 - is your laptop battery charge when turned off?

2 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Sometimes, the problem may be with the laptop. The battery isn't bad, but it could be a loose connection or hardware problem with laptop. It will be the right idea to get the material under test if the battery of the laptop is not getting loaded even if the laptop is turned off.

You can also try the BIOS update and check if it helps. You can get in touch with the system manufacturer for assistance for the update of the BIOS.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:
