You cannot change the wallpaper in starter edition.
If you have made a few changes to change the background I have, it can cause instability to the system.

I accidentally deleted all the pictures in my document yesterday and this morning when I started the laptop background became black.

My Windows 7 Starter is authentic and I never have to download any software to change the background, how to restore the original?

Have you tried to restore your system to a point before the accidental deletion of yesterday? Click Start, type "restore" and click on "System Restore" in the list. Select a restore point prior to deleting the files and follow the prompts.

You can also right click on your desktop, select "Customize" from the drop-down list and see if you can find it in the list of substantive themes or screen saver. "."

  • My professional background of Windows 7 will not change.

I have a Windows 7 Professional 32-bit computer, and will not change the background.  It is stuck on one front image, no matter what I did.  Now it is stuck on one color, I can change the color, but not to any real image.  I have a theme that has a slide show, but when I chose the theme, he said that my background is the photos for the slideshow, but when I look at its still a solid color.  If I right click on it does not give me the next opportunity to "change background".  There is an unsaved theme assigned a background in one color, but its not selected, and even if I select it and change the background it goes backward.  I can't even change the background, when I right click on an image and click on set as background.  If I save the theme, he recorded with the bottom, I wanted, and then creates a new theme unregistered with the solid as the background color and uses.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I found new information that might be useful.  It's in another thread, but I can't immediately find, but here is the important part:

    1 - Go to this folder: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\
(copy and paste that in the start/search or Run box).

    2 - remove the TranscodedWallpaper.jpg file.

3 try to set your wallpaper again.

Sorry I can't find the link, but it was a confirmed a team of Microsoft TechNet blog.  I hope this helps!

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

  • Impossible to change the wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter.

original title: Windows 7 Starter wallpaper!

Seriously one you can't change the wallpaper on Windows 7 starter. Of course, that I understand that this version of Windows is expected to be very light on has to run smoothly on netbooks... but F---ing screen? Microsoft remembers that they always write operating systems right? My dinosaur, Nokia cell phone from 5 years ago allow you to change the wallpapers.  They left the gadget feature but no background screen! This really proves to me that Microsoft has absolutely no idea of what they do.  Windows 7 comes on just about all netbook now from this current holiday season.  So here's my question... Why would anyone want a netbook windows 7 when XP (earlier than prior windows operating system 7) had more features it does? Apple is looking for better and better. I don't even have a netbook for Christmas, and even though I really wanted one, I'm very happy that I don't have. I'm not going to get one at all now if its windows 7 on it.  I'll wait for the Apple tablet, and that's all.  What do you mean Microsoft?

    Hello socratesman,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

In Windows 7 Starter, you are not allowed to change the wallpaper. You can't even replace the image by default by another because the system compares the hash of file of your background desired with the hash of the file of the default wallpaper.

You need to upgrade to a more full version of Windows 7:

    Hey Amir,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums and thanks for your post about it.

Want to know where you can get the other start screen themes and background for Windows 8 outside the themes and background images already present images in Windows 8 by default.

Let me inform you that we will not be able to add additional themes and backgrounds for the splash screen in Windows 8. However, it is possible for the desktop interface. If you want to add backgrounds and additional desktop themes, you can visit these links and then download your favorite themes and background images.

  • NB300 - Windows 8 start problems

I have recently installed windows 8 on my Toshiba NB300 and everytime I turn on the computer with the power button, the computer turns off a few seconds later.

Only on the second attempt Windows 8 starts normally, giving me the indication of an error.
This happens the first time I turn on my computer with the power button.

I appreciate your help to solve the described problem behind.

    Hello

How did you install the 8 Win?
You've improved the Win 7 to 8 Win or you did a clean installation?

It might be possible that some pre-installed drivers or tools are not compatible with Win 8 and therefore, there is a problem when starting.

  • How can I change the product key Windows 7 starter edition

    Hi all

I tried to change the product key on my netbook, because I had to replace the hard drive and I used my recovery disks of the brothers that he has the same exact model. However when I had done restoring the product key is also the same so I wanted to put the original back on.

I used slui methods both properties before, but neither give me a way to change the product key at the moment. When I go to properties it says only: windows is activated without any options to change of key and when I run slui a window appears which says activation succeeded.

Am I missing something? or is it because its Windows 7 starter?

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

    Click Start, type: CMD

    Right-click on CMD

    Click on run as administrator

At the command prompt, type the following commands:

  • Can I change Windows 7 Ultimate non-genuine genuine Windows 7 Starter?

I got windows 7 starter authentic bone with the product key, but I changed it recently in windows 7 ultimate with a key from a friend. but now I'm having a problem with this os in my pc.it is displayed ""this window is not genuine", ask Windows genuine on_line '"... " So I decided to change starter with this Microsoft license key, please help me... How can I change?

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
