NB305-01E recovery disks don't work

I tried to restore my NB305 Netbook (windows 7) to its original factory (using the beginning and hold '0') and with the recovery disc I made when I bought my netbook.

No recovery option works. Using the beginning + '0' does not put me in the hard drive recovery mode (everything that happens is that it freezes the boot process until I release the "0" key), or try using the recovery (F12 + recovery disk process) disk bothers me in the process of recovery, but after all of 1/2 hour of good process , the computer and external disk drive crashes with a message "copy files to the disc.

I left the computer all night and there was no progress. It seems that the recovery disc I made is corrupt and I might have to buy a new Toshiba recovery disks. Any suggestions or information on how I can go about buying recovery disc Toshiba for my net book?

Thank you! JL

Hello

To be honest I don t understand this with the computer and external drive. You have created recovery image on external HARD disk?

Can you please tell me where you bought your netbook? This European model? I ask this because on the European models, you enter startup options using F8 at startup and fix my computer to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

In any case, if nothing is done I'm afraid, you must order the original Toshiba Recovery disk for your model laptop from Mr. I don t know where do you live and you can not send good link where you can order but you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  • Recovery and system recovery disks don't work is not on the MS213 Pavilion (All in One)

    Hello

I ordered the HP recovery discs as F11 will not work. I got 4 disks with one separated from the others. He said "use this first! The other 3 were combined, and they are marked the system recovery and disc 1 of 3, 2, 3 and so on. I restart the computer with the disk that says use this first. The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. After a few seconds it ejects the disc, and there are 3 pictures on the screen, at the top left is like a circle with a check mark in it. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.

    System information:

    HP Pavilion MS213 all-in-one

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Configuration of stock

    Background:

It is a friend's computer. She was making a mistake "code purple" with the resumption of F11. She had someone watching and I don't know what they were doing, but when I got it, I was getting an error at startup. somehting like cannot find the Boot...

I found a commercial version of Win 7 64 bit standalone disc and installed on the machine. It runs great, but it had to be for troubleshooting only, until I have the recovery disks.

So, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. I thought initially upgraded to Windows 8, but I thought that the recovery disks will be cheaper, and also the friend doesn't have to go through the inclination of windows 8.

I will be happy to provide more information if necessary.

If you can read the license key Microsoft Windows 7 of 25 characters related to the machine, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD. Remember, it is the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.
  • Satellite 2415 S205 recovery disks don't work

I have 3 recovery disks provided with my Toshiba (which was initially purchased in the United States for me by my brother even if I am based in the United Kingdom). The laptop was originally running Windows XP Home Edition and Microsoft Works and covers the Toshiba labels for this purpose. When I try to restore the system using the recovery disks, the screen indicates it is install Windows 95! Also, although it seems to be to reformat the hard disk, it becomes only 86% then stops! (even if left on all night)

    So I have two questions:

    (1) can I get good replacement of the boot to XP disks?
    (2) is it a probable reason for the 'lock-up' 86%?

    Hey there

  • 2000 HP recovery disks don't work

    I have a laptop HP 2000 with Win 7 64 bit.

I tried to reinstall using the recovery disks that I made to my computer, they do not work. I got a box saying that my computer is not taken in charge, etc.

I ordered the HP recovery disks, using the number of my product, they finally arrived and same result:

This computer is not supported by the system recovery media

you will not be able to continue to recover this system with these media

    error:

    0100-3676-358B-358C-358D-358E-358F-3590-3591-3592

I called HP support and I gave to the first person information (product, series, etc.) and he insisted that I ordered the correct disks. I explained that I had ordered online, provided all the information requested and could not reinstall. He told me that I need to reorder online and it would help me so I came back and began to reorganize, even if I didn't feel I should have to pay. He then told me since it is their mistake, he would transfer me and I would like to get free new disks. I was transferred to another number, I began to explain my situation and he said that they were not supported and it would be for me, but back I'll transfer. They started to ask me the same questions and asked what I was getting the error... I had to end the conversation in order to prepare for work.

I installed Ubuntu to see if there is no problem, no problem. I was hoping to reinstall the original software, but could not. I reinstalled Windows 7 (I have the key that is on the bottom of the laptop), but there are a few unknown riders I need to reinstall it. Difficult, when we look at and no indication as to what the drivers that they are (network, etc.)

    I need help, suggestions.

    Thank you.

Paul, I'll give you a kudo for your help, not only for me but for others.

Had the HDD out on my laptop DV6710. Replace it with the exact type. Order recovery dvd from HP. When I try to restore using the first disk, I get the message "no media found. Have you checked your model pilots page to see if there is a firmware for optical drive? Call HP and tell them that the laptop does not start the first disc... they will usually send a replacement set.

  • TouchSmart IQ500: Want to reformat but recovery disks don't work

I'm trying to reformat the hard drive of this computer. I made a set of recovery discs and want to wipe the drive and reinstall, but I can't boot from these DVDs. Windows checked their after that I burned them, but they just turn.  I can reset it to the factory using the D drive recovery partion but I want run dban then restore to factory settings.

I tried other discs, as a Windows Vista Ultimate, and big boots, so the drive is not the problem, the discs are.  Any thoughts on how to get out of this pickle would be apprecaited.

Thank you @Erico. My problem is if I switch the computer to someone else, and their car breaks down, they have no way to return to the factory. The drive is more than five years, and it happen sooner than later. Not to labour the point, but the recovery media started on my MacPro. Is there a reason, you think that it doesn't initialize the TouchSmart, or is the HPs just tempermental?

Second, if I have to live with a factory reset, which will be more wiping of free space, clear enough my old data system?

    In addition, appreciate any thoughts.

A factory reset, which removes the partitions and then create fresh OEM partitions, should suffice.

If you still have doubts, then replace the drive by another and take a hammer to the original. It is the approved military method of removal of data from a hard drive.

Once the trays are broken, no one can recreate the data.

Each person has a different level of paranoia.

BTW, simply because the recovery started on the MacPro does not mean he'll run there.

A HP Recovery Manager inspects the hardware in the computer to verify that it meets HP criteria for the particular platform, it was designed for before his execution. It is by design.

  • Satellite A50 - recovery disk is not working

    Hello

I'm trying to do a clean install on my laptop, but the recovery disk is not working.
The files transferred to the laptop, but once done, I get an error message that says: "the system is not fully installed. Please run Setup again."

Does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix it?

It took me four days to get to this point and make me very frustrated.

    Thanks heaps

    Hello

What is the installation using another CD; That is to say the Microsoft Windows XP disk?
    Have you tried that?

In my opinion, this would help to pinpoint the problem
The error message can be linked to different issues; I mean the HARD drive or a single partition problem could also be possible.

Try to format the drive HARD whole again. Delete all partitions from the HARD drive and check if you can proceed with the installation.

But if you will not be able to install the OS by using the recovery disk and other disks then a question must relate to a part of the material. (possibly HDD)

  • Satellite C650 - error reading disk and the recovery disk does not work

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but of course, there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Can you get a second one for test purposes and exchange it. Just to be sure if the HDD is troublemaker.

    But there is something else:
    > I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other computer acer laptop...
Sorry, but I don t understand this. Can you please explain what you did exactly?

  • System recovery disks do not work.

I have a HP G62 339WM Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I bought by mail, system recovery discs and they do not work.   And my HP Support Assistant displays "an error has occurred" and end not updates.

The Troubleshooting Guide for the recovery started from CD or DVD says: "update the firmware of the drive. This is especially true if the disks were received from HP customer service by mail. The firmware of a DVD player (the pilot) isn't able to recognize the support of recovery disk which was created using a newer DVD manufacturing process. Download and install updates on the firmware of the DVD available at HP that corresponds to the type of DVD drive on your computer. »

How do I update the firmware of the player when my HP Support Assistant would conduct no updates.  I downloaded the latest Hp Support Assistant and he always always says "an error has occurred."

My laptop model has no updates from HP.

As new as your laptop is I doubt you need a firmware update for the CD/DVD drive.

Could you give a little more detail also the recovery disks do not work. For example you get an error, or is the laptop just not boot from them and goes directly into Windows?

Have you tried to put the first disc in the drive, shut down the laptop, wait a minute or two and turn on the laptop, start typing the ESCAPE key to get the menu. Should be an option of F9 to select the boot device. Select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.

  • HP S3120N. I replaced the motherboard and the power, now the recovery disks do not work.

I'm not so happy owner of a HP Pavilion S3120N. I am running windows vista home edition. The motherboard went out so I replaced it with a Zotac GeForce 8200 - ITX Wifi series. Now the computer says it is noa a hp solution valid, and the recovery disks do not work. is there a way to fix this without buying a new operating system?

Yes, return the Zotac motherboard and get an OEM HP/Compaq M2NC51-AR / HematiteXL-GL8E motherboard. I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but the recovery discs are locked to a specific set of HP/Compaq machines with specific HP OEM motherboards. Apart from this, you will need to buy a new OS.

    Hello

    Very strange boyfriend
Would it be possible that the CD/DVD drive is unable to read the first disc correctly?
I mean, maybe it's a disk problem and not the problem with the data

I don't know what's wrong here, but you have some a lot of m options here:
To recover the laptop, you must use the Toshiba recovery disks or HARD drive recovery
You can use the HARD drive recovery process?
Turn on the device, press F8, choose fix my computer-> drive HARD recovery.

If this is not possible? Well. You can always order a new disc here:
