NB305 SIM card reader

Hello everyone,
To begin with; my English is not so good, sorry for my bad English

I have a Toshiba NB305, and I saw that behind the battery of ther is a place to put a sim card for mobile internet.
But there is no hardware to contin the SIM card.

Can I buy equipment to reside for my SIM card?
And where can I buy it?

Greetings,

Sander

Hello

I think you are talking about 3 G module.

There are different laptops NB300 series on the market
Some models are equipped with an internal 3G module and some computers laptops don't support this feature.

I m not very well what NB305-xxx you but it seems that your model does not have 3G.
As far as I know it s not possible to improve it with a module 3G because of different motherboards, but you can ask a technician to ASP in your country if you want to be 100% sure

Welcome them

  • Software problem or SIM card reader?

    Hello

My brother just bought a new iPhone SE. Like his old iPhone 4 was unnecessary, he gave it to me.

He has deleted all the data, so it was a whole new iPhone 4 running under 7.1.2

Unfortunately, that he used a nano SIM with an adapter and when he took the set, things were not going smoothly and he shot it too strong, maybe because the tray was blocked...

in any case when I turned on the phone with my SIM card (same provider that he bought the phone of) it keeps saying "no sim". I was unable to activate the phone.

I launched iTunes, plugged the iPhone: 'no SIM '.

I tried my SIM own brother who worked before the reset (and also before this 'incident' tray) and it was exactly the same situation.

Then I also tried DFU restore the phone with iTunes, but it was useless.

So I'm pretty sure that the SIM card reader has been damaged. But I still hope that this situation might be link to a software problem.

How can I be sure that the phone detects no SIM card. (I won't call an emergency...)

Thank you very much! It would have been my first smartphone

Sounds like a problem of material for me. I doubt it's worth the money to get that repaired, although the phone.

    Hi yosoytodo2003,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. do you receive error messages or error codes?

You can check out the following link and try the fix and check if this may help:

You can also check the error messages or of unknown devices listed in Device Manager:

    Dear Forum

I have byued "nine" one lenovo B560 - quiet price specifications.

But now I'm trying to connect to internet with my SIM mobile broadband WebClient and do not find a way to do it!

The laptop is equipped with a SIM-Card-Slot-In card and throug this Slot I can see some golden conectors.

But if I turn on wireless with [Fn] + [F5] I can't see the WLAN on/off switch card.

Even the installation of 5 ReadyComm has not resolved my probs.

My mobile is Win7 home premium with the typical standard configuration, no change.

Is there something that I did not?

I appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

    Greetings - sand

    Hello mate,

It's not because you have a card reader sim you have a modem installed inside.

If your laptop is wwan ready, it comes with the sim card reader and installed antenna, and that's all.

If you don't see the wwan modem in the Fn + F5 menu it is probably because you do not have a modem.

Take a look here to see if you have a wwan modem or not: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/configuration/configuration.html

I noticed this new update yesterday, but I did try to update again as expected there are maybe still bugs on the new update (A5000_S124_151118_8G_ROW). You can try to reboot the device, try a different sim just to exclude that there is no problem with the SIM card. Try resetting to factory default, but make sure that you back up your data on a pc as a precaution. Lets us know what is happening!

  • New SIM card new iPad mini 4 offer only AT & T refurb apple

I bought an iPad mini 4 on the Apple refurb store. It came with no SIM card. I went to my local apple retail store, and you have a card SIM Apple (after assisted by about 3 people; they seemed barely even know what I was talking about). I put the card and went data cell in the settings. Under "Choose a date plan" is the only option (already checked) "AT & T - A & T - Postpaid" and under that in the fine print, it says "SIM expired." If I tap on "Add a new plan", the only option for the carrier that appears is AT & T. After reading all about the flexibility of the Apple SIM card, I am very frustrated that it does not work as advertised. I've heard talk about AT & T lock SIM card after you choose, but I never had the chance to make the choice.

    PS. a reboot didn't help.

    Hello there npydyuan!

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and congratulations on your new iPad mini 4.  I have the same model with cellular and I love being able to use everywhere and always have the data available to me.  I'm here to help you today.

This iPad comes with the same 1 year warranty and 14 day return policy, as would a brand new iPad mini 4.  Even if the iPad is refurbished, it should always be open and available for use on any carrier that supports the equipment.  Please contact the Apple Store Support by phone 1-800-MY-APPLE or if you prefer, you can discuss them here: Shopping help, scrolling down and clicking on the Chat now.

Best wishes and I know once your iPad mini 4 is sorted on you will enjoy it as much as I do mine!

  • How to remove iMessage, if I can't use the old SIM card?

I've traveled abroad and used a temporary SIM card with my iPhone 6.

Now I'back home, inserted my regular SIM card but iMessage continues to try to register with the temporary number, I used abroad.

Although I always temporary SIM card, it is useless in my country and that's why I can't receive the confirmation code to unregister the temporary application number.

How can I reset iMessage or know that I need to register with my local number and not the temporary?

Tried everything and read a number of forums, but nothing seems to work.

  • Built-in SIM card problem

Anyone heading the question where they took contact with care of apple and the representative on the other end does not have the product you are calling for?

I recently had to replace my iPad 9.7 Pro at a local Apple store warranty. There was a glimmer of hope in the quadrant display cooer right. It was not extreme, but once I have the sewing, my eyes always went straight to the it later. Given that the unit was only a few months, that I wasn't old too satisfied to "just deal with it" then I won him in and ultimately they replaced. There is one thing that I like Apple, they really take care of their customers. Then I proceeded to drive home and get on the phone with AT & T to activate it, because the iPad was originally purchased at home and put on my plan.

After getting nowhere with AT & T customer service they transferred me to Apple Care because I didn't have an ICCID under settings/general/to words. After connecting the Apple Care representative I explained the problem. To my surprise, he had no idea on the SIM Apple integrated and kept asking me where was my old SIM and I need one to get cellular service. Now, I knew that this was not correct and I've tried very carefully explain that there is no SIM external it was enabled on the embedded SIM card, however, they guy fought me on it and sounded quite confused throughout the call. I also tried to activate it under the iPad option settings/cell/Add cell phone carrier/transfer again. This option does not work for me, because it has to do with a different plan type (I have or the representative didn't know) he says also my user name and password are incorrect, but it wasn't. I logged in full on the site without problem. As a result of this he told me to change my password for AT & T and that has not worked, it wouldn't have worked anyway, but now I know, it's just so that you can see the traces of events here. I was then left on hold for 15 minutes be say I have to call my service provider.

Just for the forum of reference for the iPad all Pro (to the United States at least) are made with a built-in SIM card, but also have a nano SIM tray for travel abroad. For those who don't know no way "embarked", it is built in the electronic device and is not removable. Why do that and do all sorts of confusion? It is designed to allow a smaller unit and is supposed to give more options for the selection of a carrier.

To resolve this problem, I took my replaced iPad 9.7 Pro at my local AT & T store the next day (today) to configure the built-in SIM card. They had me past in less than 5 minutes. Namely, if someone runs into his question, you need to tell the person you talking if theres no ICCID then its either one wifi device or if you are using a device with a built-in SIM card. They will have the provision to the CSN, which is a very long alphanumeric number located in settings/general/to comments made by verses the low only with the IMEI (obviously).

I'm just surprised that the 'experts' Apple Care had no idea what the hell I was talking about. I am an engineer 'EM and work on industrial equipment. Also, I have a technical support for hardware, software, networks and applications, so I have a bit of history and know how to get my message. I too am a former user of Windows and Android who migrated to apple for its ease of use, robustness and quality, and outstanding customer service. I now own the iPad Pro, mini iPad 9.7 4, Apple TV (3rd generation) and Mac Mini (late 2014). All of which are excellent products that I use every day and that he loves her. I also participates actively in the public beta program Apple with iOS 10 and Sierra of MacOS. Apple, if you listen... Take note that when a supervisor does not know the iPad Pro is manufactured with a built-in SIM, theres a problem.

    What do you think?

  • While the iPhone overseas requires a reactivation, which sometimes works, but more often does not work. At the beginning he said that my SIM card was not supported by the activation policy assigned by the activation server.

    iPhone 6

    Network: Verizon

    iOS 9.3.3

Twice now, once in Costa Rica in April and, more recently, in Ireland, while that phone overseas warning reads as follows:

"your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is not reachable. Try to connect your phone to the iPhone to activate it, or try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists contact Apple Support to Apple.com/support. »

    or:

"The SIM card that you have currently installed in the phone is a carrier that is not supported in the title of the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This isn't a problem with the hardware with the iPhone. Please insert another card from a supported carrier SIM or ask this iPhone be unlocked by your operator. Please contact Apple for more information. »

My carrier is Verizon and I replaced the SIM card on my return from Costa Rica end of April despite the fact that the card is unlocked and good, in theory, for international travel,

Before you activate the phone is locked and I can't access applications like camera, that, when I travel, I need over the phone.

Apple says call Verizon. Verizon said, you guessed it, call Apple.

When I return to the States, everything works fine. I thought that the replacement of a SIM card would do the trick, so you can imagine my dismay when the activation warning came after I took the phone off airplane mode after I landed in Dublin and the activation warning came new.

    What is going on?

    I think it's a problem with Verizon.
